Highlights of XXII Convocation 2024, Dibrugarh University

The XXII Convocation 2024 of Dibrugarh university was held on 10 March 2024. The Chancellor of Dibrugarh University and Governor of Assam, Shri Gulab Chand Kataria declared the convocation open. The Vice Chancellor of Dibrugarh University, Prof. Jiten Hazarika, delivered the welcome address. The Chief Guest of the convocation was Professor Sudhir Kumar Barai, Director, Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani. The D. Sc Honoris Causa was conferred upon Shri Kshiradhar Barua and the D. Litt Honoris Causa was conferred upon Nawab Imran Shah. The total number of graduating students this year was 10,765, out of which there were 87 Ph. D degree holders, 37 Gold medal recipients including 33 post-graduates, 3 graduates from various disciplines, and one student conferred with Dr. Junali Kropi Memorial Award for securing the highest marks in the Department of Anthropology.
