Nice! I didn't realize you can make a Ventura Hackintosh using an "out of support" CPU, and even get the thing to use its iGPU. Another excellent Hackintosh video!! Definitely looking forward to your next upgrade video for this system.
@myburn even my core 2 quad can run ventura from 2008
Dgpu needed tho
@@eazy_black yeah,it's because the igpus where on the motherboard and alot of them where straight up garbage
Supplied so many of those Fujitsu desktops., back when they were new. The hardware is rock solid. We had very few failures compared to other well known corporate brands. I have one of the older versions of this pc so am tempted to see if it can also be a respectable Hackintosh.
Sadly, Fujitsu announced the end of production of workstations and PCs.
The good news it’s not till April 24. Better news is there will be plenty of these desktops sold off when corps jump ship when they end of life current deployed units.
Lets not mention their server range.. I've never seen one, but from what I do hear, firmware updates were roulette.
Servers are rock solid, in 7 years only ever had 1 doa which was a daughter card failure , not even a Fujitsu pert, and two that failed in the first year of the 3 year warranty. As I had all, the Fujitsu type training so was certified to do my own repairs, they just sent the parts on a 4 hour replacement, all machines back up and running before the end of the day. Where I work now we use Dell and HP, there are 5 Fujitsu servers in the Data centre, that never go wrong, with the exception of the EMC kit neither Dell or HP ever manage to get same day fix, so we rely on the failover for each server. Their desktop and laptop repair is woeful, they seem to rely on re-certified parts that are often just broken in an other area. Agreed Fujitsu server firmware updates could be a little sparse but they seemed to update when it was important enough, not just because they changed the logo for the start screen . HP. Bonus with Fujitsu servers anything from 2010 onwards seems fine funning windows 8 onwards, so can be used as desktops. I use one for compiling its a brute force thing with 128gb of ram and 16 cores, cost me nothing as it was going to be scrapped.
You should !! Mine is really smooth on Big Sur 😁
You make some of the best Hackintosh videos. Appreciate the depth and detail of your work!
Thanks, I appreciate it.
Looking forward for depth installation of the same pc, thanks
Ey, this one makes sense! Cheers mate for the tutorial, ill give this one a go on the weekend! 🎉
VERY cool! Thanks for this video series!
This was awesome. Thanks for sharing
Looking forward to your EFI guide. Always useful info.
The EFI Tutorial is in this video, it's pretty easy
Well done, love this.
Excellent video & explainer - I’m definitely looking to do this as a backup in case my Intel MBP craps out.

Very Well Done! I have this saved on a few lists to come back and try this weekend lol
Beyond doubt, congratulations!
this video is so cool can't believe how well it runs macos
Awesome Video!
I'd love to see you revisit this with a 4th gen i7 and add on graphics to see how it performs.
It's a very very good lecture to use the Gen4 Core to install the newest macOS system. Gen4 Core is very easy to be re-built to macOS system with low cost and good experience.
That was a great bargain!👍👍
Good job!
Very great video explanation.
Clear and simple! Things that usually are not so easy to get it.
Waiting for next video upgrade system.
Question regarding supported gpu on hackintosh…
which one do you recommend?
And on this specific pc
Which is the most performance cpu that you can install ?
Definitely one of the best!!!!
Epic win!
Ither way, Impressive performance and polish for the price.
Love your pronunciation of EFI, lol. Never change it.

We must be living in different universes because I have just done an eBay search and not found a single machine matching your specs for less than £50. The only ones cheaper than that are incomplete machines or new listings a few days away from the inevitable bidding battles.
www.ebay.de/itm/386101086046 - Ended yesterday for €25.

Poster is clearly from UK where the average consumer is accustomed to paying far more for anything compared to an EU Citizen. I know. I used to be British.
Even in the UK you can pick up a similar spec machine for next to nothing. It doesn't have to be this specific model. These Fujitsu PC's just happen to be more common in Germany since that's where Fujitsu manufactured them. In the UK you can pick up an old Dell, Lenovo or HP office PC with the same or similar CPU for under 25 quid.
www.ebay.co.uk/itm/155756661820 - Sold for £9.99
www.ebay.co.uk/itm/266396196411 - Sold for £19.99
www.ebay.co.uk/itm/155749817383 - Sold for £15
www.ebay.co.uk/itm/145264243101 - Sold for £22
www.ebay.co.uk/itm/115898028379 - Sold for £16 for 5 PC's - so that's just over 3 quid each.
Any of these would be hackintoshable.
When bargain hunting on ebay you need to have patience, it's not like walking into Currys.
i got an optiplex 9020 for 50 australian dollars with a 4th gen i7, 8gb of ddr3 ram and a 128gb ssd with a 500gb hdd from an office so i guess we must also be living in different universes.
Great thanks.
I have the same processor, would install to it soon.
Cool to see the Hackintosh scene is still alive and well. It will be a sad day when Apple cuts off support for the x86 version of MacOS and it's Apple silicon only from then on.
I don't think they will cut x86 that soon.
really nice video
Thanks a lot
Oh sweet I hope I can program stuff in it!
very good videos, waiting for the next one about update vga card
Impressive!
Nice video! also it is better for the environment as you are essentially recycling an older PC and bringing new life to it
Além disso, eu não sabia que você era do Portugal kkkk
relatively high power consumption though.. mac mini 2012s use around 14W at idle / sleep and 27W in use - that's the reason I personally cannot justify a mac / hack desktop - the new silicons are even more efficient; for a senior or school kid okay. Now hack laptops are a different matter - I love my lenovo hackbook pro !
You do realize that you would have to use a new Mac daily for 10+ years to offset its carbon footprint against continuing to use a PC that is already built.
And let’s not get started on the financial cost.
BTW, Mac minis in sleep mode use
Well considering my mac mini is 2012 I think I qualify for an upgrade! and it will be repurposed (2014 models were awful). would be interested to know where you are getting the 10 year figure? - the boxite/alu extraction is sore I know..@@graxxor
Thanks sir
Nice job! Performance seems quite usable and I guess all it needs is say a RX570 or better and it would be fine for a few years.
I have i5 4590s + rx580 4gb and 16gb ram. Ventura works great on this.
@@Endless_Dreams just wondering, what exactly can you do with this mac ventura.. compared with just using windows or linux?
@@judasthepious1499 It's more convenient for me to work without seeing Windows windows. After all, I have fewer errors on the hack than on Windows 10 or 11, which is actually Windows XP with minor kernel changes and a different graphical interface. I also have other Apple devices and I can start work on the way home on the iPad and finish at home on the computer without any problems. Xcode is also a great advantage. Contrary to appearances, the hack runs and works much more efficiently on this computer than Windows or Linux. Maybe it's strange, but it's true. This just goes to show how Windows is filled with all sorts of crap that 95% of users don't use or know exists.
@@judasthepious1499 idk what that person does but productivity based work such as video editing and music production are better on macos than windows. it's just the way windows handles these things. millions of different drivers that perform inefficiently while on macos you obviously dont have to install extra drivers and everything "just works".
LOL THE PERFORMANCE
Okay this kinda gives me the idea i can install ventura on an ssd in my main system and get to boot into mac os at start up :O
Which former Windows PC would be good basis for a Hackintosh for Video editing only? I guess a very, very good graphic card is needed and a new SSD and the RAM modules need to be upgraded as much as possible.
Much RAM is always good regardless if Windows, Linux or macOS. With older hardware, RAM upgrades were the best buck for the money.
As for older Apple Hardware, it is almost always possible to upgrade the RAM to much more than Apple specified at the time this hardware was new and sold in the shops.
Ian Page is doing a terrific job with his Mactracker App (for iOS, for Mac (either at the Mac App Store or as a free download at the Mactracker website) to list all available information about every Apple product ever build / sold. And of course you find there how much RAM you can install in your old Mac.
with the amount of money you'd be spending just building a hackintosh, i can guarantee you a m1 mac mini or an m1 macbook would be able to give you equal if not better performance. arm macs are really the way these days. hackintosh will die out soon. at least props to apple for making their macs more affordable and usable.

Those Fujitsu desktops look like a hybrid ThinkCentre and OptiPlex
Hello, I am sorry to bother you, but I followed your tutorial (and the second video) without any issue until the use of OCLP to apply root patches (install the HD4600 drivers). At this step, and after the reboot, I am stuck on the boot logo with the progress bar stuck at 1/3, and nothing move. The only difference is that I used an Intel i7 4770 (the maximum for the motherboard of the P420). Do you have any tips to solve this problem ? Also, I am not able to boot without the use key, I used OCAT to mount both EFI partitions, copy the EFI folder from the usb key to the internal SSD, but the motherboard doesn't seems to recognize the drive as bootable.
You definitely got a deal with that PC. Seems mostly cost about 50€+ atleast were I searched 😄
It doesn't have to be this exact model, it was just the cheapest one I happened to find at the time I was looking. Dozens of auctions for old office PC's with a haswell i3, i5 or i7 have sold in the last couple of days for under €30. Lenovo ThinkCentre, HP EliteDesk, HP ProDesk, Dell Optiplex, they're all hackintoshable.
I did something similar but I got a ThinkCentre M93p, swapped the WiFi/Bluetooth card, took parts from a dead laptop and good to go. I added a i7-4960HQ though.
I'm really jealous of developped countries when it comes to tech, you basically earn a lot more while used tech is a lot cheaper, in brazil a machine like that is really hard to get for under 200 euros. I really want to make a storage server at home, but i'm havinga really tough time finding decent hardware for heap.
It's only really Brazil and India that get fucked, both because of import restrictions
Sounds like you should move then.
@@TigerGreene sounds really easy, believe me, I would if I could. Gotta finish my degree and get a job abroad to do that legally and in a decent way.
@@KennerMarqueti Good luck. My parents did it years ago, immigrating to the US for a better life. It was very hard and took many years (and lying to their government).
Do you ever travel or have friends or relatives in cheaper countries? Perhaps that might be a way to buy a bunch of stuff cheap to bring or ship to Brasil.

Great video!! I would like to ask you where have you bought the CPU and the SSD? The SSD was new?
I got the CPU from Ebay. The SSD was from pccomponentes.pt. It was new and it cost 10,48 EUR.
I can’t even get a £1 for an i3 4150 in the UK so fair play! I just bin them now
For people who want to write books, this would be a great project. Vellum only works on Macs. It would be worth $17 to have a computer that would run Vellum.
250$ for Vellum however. At that point you might as well save up a little more for a used MacBook Pro from 2012 for around 50-80$ and get a keyboard and trackpad and screen all included.
@@ghost-user559 Actually, Vellum is no longer worth buying. There are better alternatives that do not require a Mac. And they are cheaper. Vellum is for the same crowd who are willing to pay extra for a logo. Because let’s face it, Apple puts out underpowered crap at high prices because snobs want to have the Apple logo.
@@ghost-user559probably could pirate it if you’re going the hackintosh route anyways. Idk if it’s possible to pirate apple apps or not though.
I'm interested in a more detailed installation guide. I have some devices that are very similar.
I just checked ebay in the US and the price of this model is $367.83
That listing is an Italian seller trying to sell $20 computers for many times their value. He's also trying to sell 2001-era 17" LCD monitors for the price of a modern IPS ultrawide.
In Europe there are several auctions for this PC that ended in the last month at under 25 Euros. This PC was never released in the US as far as I know. In the US you'd probably have more luck finding a Lenovo ThinkCentre or a Dell Optiplex with a similar spec.
For example, on Ebay US I can see three Lenovo ThinkCentre M93P listings that were sold at $16 with a core i5-4570T that will run macOS fine, and there are dozens of Dell Optiplex 4th to 7th gen systems that sold recently for very low prices too.
Interesting. Do you need a Mac to create the boot drive or can I do that using Rufus etc on a Windows pc? Always wanted to try Mac spreadsheet out.
You can create the USB in Windows if you don't have access to a Mac. I made a video a week or two ago about how to do that - czcams.com/video/s_zlanxCWeM/video.html

Hey! Pretty good video but i am not able to install the recovery image. I am getting some errors. Would you kindly help me?
I'd say that Core i3 is more than enough for daily tasks, especially since it has four threads anyway; not that much slower than i5 of that era
And pairing this build with something like RX 460 2gb will make your life much easier (no need for patches, it's natively supported out of the box, and will speed up Metal acceleration massively)
tell that to any internet browser that eats 32GB of RAM and still manage to crash with 10 open pages ...

Great video! What dedicated GPU is that at the end?
Radeon RX 460 4GB. The cheapest GPU that's still natively supported in macOS Ventura and Sonoma.
Id love to see this with a Linux distro. I found they were much less resource intensive than even macos
Love to see WHAT? Just load Linux on anything of similar specs and you duplicate the experience. There's nothing to "see" you cannot duplicate yourself in the time it takes to load a virtual machine on whatever OS you currently use, and Linux need not be installed to bare metal. You can load Ventoy along with all the Linux .iso files it has space for then live boot each on your existing PC to determine which you prefer.

Doesn't it have more than 1 SATA connector on the mobo? I would have kept that hard drive (or got a larger one) for keeping media on, rather than fill up the SSD.
You pretty much made an entire new pc though...
You think that this could be possible also with Fujitsu MiniPCs ? :)
Impressive recycle, my congrats. I was considering buy a mini pc with intel N100 and ddr5 (there's a ton of that machines at 170€/200€) to use as media/office station (youtube, mail, browsing). I'm wondering if that could be a good hackintosh machine. Thanks for sharing.
Sadly, there's no support for Alder Lake iGPU's in macOS Ventura, so the N100 wouldn't work. The best mini PC for hackintosh until very recently was still probably the Intel 8th gen Nuc8i5BEK. It's like a 2018 Mac Mini but with faster graphics performance thanks to the Iris Plus 655.
Recently, the NootedRed project has made it possible to run macOS on AMD APU's with integrated Vega GPU's, so the best hackintosh Mini PC right now would probably be one based on the Ryzen 7 5700G.
@@BartechTV That's unfortunate. So I got it, by the time the choices are two: I save some old puppy from the junkyard or I bite the bullet and buy a mac mini m2 for 550€ (which would not be a bad idea, considering the price and the the curiosity for the new chip). Assemble a 5700g could probably cost around 400€ (180€ cpu and then motherboard, psu, ram, case). Nonetheless a dual boot linux/mac-os machine for 400€ could be an option to consider for me. Thanks for info.
You can get HP and Lenovo minipcs of the same era for very cheap too
Not so cheap in the US ($160-$500) when you can find them but still FARRR below the cost of any mac. In the US the business market is dominated by Dell computers for the most part. Maybe I'll try one of them.
Yeah, but how would you know if the components are going to be compatible with MAC OS Ventura 13 on a Dell?
Mostly there are way better deals with shipping in the USA then in Europe.
The cheapest I see on Ebay for this PC is at least $110 USD in the USA.
After years and years of Hackintosh content, i am still so overwhelmed by it all that i just use Linux 😅

Those 10 year old PCs still run fine & if you invest in some cheap upgrades (SSD/CPU/RAM)- they're very capable machines. I put about $35 in a $10 PC I bought off a friend and do just about anything shy of gaming. I go the Linux route, but the concept is very much the same. why spend hundreds of dollars on a machine that does relatively the same things you need it for?
I bought an old pc with the same cpu as the one in this video (i5-4570) and it's been great. I upgraded the ram to 8gb and put my old 750ti inside and it really can do anything an ordinary person needs. I even can play lighter or older games on it! :)
I think that is true. I think the only reason to spend more is so you can play games but even then some older games can run on this kind of hardware.
@@Alexander_l322 nothing wrong with that. It's just wild to think so many spend outside of their budget, when they can have mostly the same things out of a lower tier build. But hey if you can afford it go for it.
I have a tendency to play older games so I don't really need a monster build rly. From what I understand most of the steam market has lower tier builds anyways so game developers have to accommodate for that anyways. I think the 1060 was the most popular graphics card via stream statistics- but I may be mistaken.

Are you sure the 7350 HD isn't supported in macOS? Because my 7970 is and supports Metal!
I do think the i3 is enough for basic tasks in 2023
The 7350 is a completely different architecture to the 7970. It's based on the Terascale 2 architecture, and has never been supported in macOS. Even if I could somehow get it to work, the integrated HD 4600 on the CPU is three times faster. Not even worth the 4 euros I sold it for.
Hello. Thanks for the video.
Would it have worked with the i3 4150? Just slower, or would it have failed?
And would it work with i5 4570S ?
It would be slower, and you'd have to spoof the HD 4400 iGPU to HD 4600 since the HD 4400 was never supported in macOS.
Yes, you can use the 4570s.
I have the same pc. Can u share the efi please?

Hi Bartech TV, i would like to ask, is it illegal legally to do hackintosh myself, or if i would like to do it for education system at my school without any payment made by teachers but would like to help them install for coding laboratory purposes for my community. Is it illegal ?
The Ventura license agreement says:
"Subject to the terms and conditions of this License, unless you obtained the Apple Software from the Mac App Store, through an automatic download or under a volume license, maintenance or other written agreement from Apple, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to install, use and run one (1) copy of the Apple Software on a single Apple-branded computer at any one time."
This means that it's, generally, against the terms of their license to install MacOS onto a non-Apple computer. Apple isn't likely to do anything to individuals who make a Hackintosh, but an educational institution could be opening themselves to liability for doing it.
Presumably, the school would need a specific educational license for that use case. And it seems unlikely that Apple would grant a license around teaching students how to make Hackintosh systems, given that this would entail teaching them how to do something Apple doesn't officially allow.
Will this latest MacOS run under Windows 10 HyperV virtual machine?
Also will it run 68K and PowerPC Mac apps?
