Washington Square Park NYC Ambience | Tascam Portacapture X8 Sound Demo

We explored Washington Square Park in New York City and recorded audio using the Tascam Portacapture X8. This video is partly a gear test of the Tascam Portacapture X8, as we wanted to see how it performs as a field recorder using only the internal mics. But this video was also a fun project for us to shoot something different. To find an interesting frame and to just hold and see what unfolds. I just bought mine. Still haven't tested it out. What do you think of it?

It's pretty great. I was torn between this and the Zoom F3, but ultimately decided on the Tascam because it contained internal mics and I do a lot of field recording and music demos. The 32-bit float is really nice. I'd recommend a wind guard if you plan on using it outside at all, the mics are very sensitive to wind noise. Thanks for watching!
