Just this last week, I had finished the Purito Centella Green sunscreen, and started the Comfy Water one instead for this week. All week my makeup has only lasted a couple of hours, before falling apart. Thank goodness you said something!!😍

We love your honest reviews. I was so excited for this launch, because I love the concept of Kjaer Weis with refillable packaging and clean ingredients. I was actually having trouble deciding between ordering the Kjaer Weis or the Kosas. Boy am I glad I ended up ordering the Kosas! (It's on the way and I cannot wait.)

Did your doc say anything about ligament pain. As they stretch they hurt but then either they settle in for a bit and don’t hurt as much or your your brain decided the pain signal was repetitive and quit listening. The ligaments hold your uterus where it is so def get a lot of pressure during growth spurts

I bought both the Kjaer Weis and ilia foundations back in February before lockdown. I found the KW foundation too heavy and use the ilia foundation exclusively. The KW foundation I use as concealer for the dark semi-circles next to my nose and for spot concealer., which is where I need the fuller coverage.
I had the exact same experience. In fact, I ended up using the foundation over the concealer the first time I used it because the concealer dried up and wiped away. I have blended it with oil before applying and that’s better, but you shouldn’t have to do that for $38.
I've tried many so called 'clean beauty' brands and haven't found anything that works yet.
Your experience with the Kjaer Weiss concealer sounds exactly like my experience with the Aveda Inner Light concealer. Exactly the same results.
I’ve had some other concealers do exactly that under my eyes! For a while I thought it was just my dry skin, but then I tried different formulas and realized I just didn’t pick the right ones for my skin :) that’s why I love the Glossier one, and some people can’t stand it

I feel the same about the shade range. It’s just so pink! I’ll use it for a week, but I’m thinking of trying to return it and get something else. It’s enhancing my eye crepes. 😂

Hahaha! Well, I just emailed them asking for store credit. Their website says no returns of “used products”. I don’t understand this because how do you know it won’t work until you use it? I’ll let you know once I hear back. And the scent SUUUUUCKS! For real, for real.

It’s a lot of fun for me to relive through you pregnancy. My two boys are older now and I honestly miss being a new mom so very much. I can honestly say it was one of the happiest I have ever been in my whole life. Not the actual pregnancy part 🙃 the new baby part! I’m not crazy 😜
I love your honesty. I really want to love their products, because the packaging is soooo good. But like, even as a black women who is fair with neutral undertones - I cannot find a shade with this line. I've even purchased the lipsticks and they're so dry. Bummer!
Hi Kackie! I got mine last week and have used a few times-same exact experience. It’s terrible! I was leaning toward trying the Kosas but got this instead because I was nervous about the Kosas being too yellow for me. I have more neutral/cool undertones. Thoughts? Does the Kosas lean yellow across all the shades or do you think I could find one that would work. Thank you! ❤️
The Kosas definitely DOES lean yellow across the board. Have you checked out the cover FX power play? It’s a little more mainstream but a great shade range if memory serves and performs in all kinds of conditions.
Hey Kackie, can you share what colors/names you have in your salt New York palette?
I also just noticed that their foundation has talc, which I’m sensitive to. I’m curious to hear what you think about the foundation after you get your refill, to see if you still like it as much now, or if your tastes changed. Maybe Westman Atelier might be better for me.
How are they considered a "clean'' brand if their products have talc in it? If talc has traces of asbestos in it, it can cause cancer.

I agree about their foundation being enough, just like Westman Atelier and not actually requiring a concealer in the line. And I do have to add a little oil with my Kjaer Weis foundation application. And I do like the powder as well.
Helpful review. Are you more likely to repurchase the Kjaer Weiss over the Westman Atelier? Which do you prefer?

Hey have you checked Credo for your shade on the foundation. Also may I suggest a video of the ilia super serum foundation (which I know you love and I would love to try) with paired with multiple compatible concealers you own or think they could work with.

The way they tried to give the impression of inclusivity with this release left an icky taste in my mouth but you’re so right their foundation is beautiful and I’ve gone through two pans already haha

Hey Kackie, you mentioned the Thrive overnight mask... is this something you have to wash off the next morning? Like does it leave an actual mask/film? Or does it pretty much soak up completely in the skin overnight?

I bought it - received it yesterday. I can't get enough out of the tube...like, I have to dip in a few times to get enough out. I initially thought it might be half full. What the actual heck?! And the shade that is supposed to go with JUST SHEER kinda has a diff undertone...I'm super duper annoyed. Ugh. And I've worn it once and it creased. I'm gonna try playing with it again...but I think we got swindled. :(
What brand is the white brush you used in the first part of the video?
The same thing happened to me! This is a concealer that works fine on areas of my face, but definitely clings to my "dry" patches underneath my eyes.. and it took a while to blend which was odd. And since I am a woman of color, I ended up having to order two shades. OH, I don't like the smell. Reminds me of the scent of their lipsticks which I am not a fan of ugh. Why couldn't they have just made this unscented :(
I have the concealer and yes it’s dry. It’s almost just like the lawless. I can only apply this with my fingers.

I find their lipsticks to be SO dry. I haven’t tried the new nudes collection yet, but they claim they reformulated.
taylortacro i like their nudes, but to me they work best tapped on the lips like a stain. Any excess on my lips, I use as an additional layer of cream blush. Effortless is my fav.
I think they did reformulated their lipstick. I recently bought their lipstick in adore and it was moisturizing.
This is so besides the point of the video, but are those the Hughes frames from Warby Parker?
Sigh. I bought this; decided to be an early adopter. And yep, the formula is weird and dry. And never really spreads coherently, but also never really sets. I've had a few moments (because I kept trying it, because EXPENSIVE!!) where patches of it somehow seemed to find a happy place, but I have no idea how that happened or how to reproduce it.
Oh well.
I love Kjaer Weis products, but I do feel like all of their complexion products are designed to work with their super expensive Beautiful Oil. Every time I watch Kirsten Kjaer Weis use her products in a tutorial/video, it's always "this works bEauTiFuLly with our Beautiful Oil". I love their foundation, but I can't use it without a moisturiser underneath and same for the concealer :(
Edit: RE other peoples experiences with the concealer: It doesn't work out of the tube for me, because like you said, it's too dry. I put a bit of light moisturiser under my eye, apply the concealer on the tip of my pinky, rub my pinkies together to get it on both fingers and then sort of stipple-finger it on underneath my eyes. It seems to work quite well for me that way, but again, like you said, it shouldn't be that way for 38 dollars.
I have never experienced any problems with makeup over the Purito Comfy Water SPF 🤔

🤷🏻♀️ 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ I feel like I let it really soak in before going in with makeup. I pretty much exclusively use cream products. It gets along with my Nudestix and Milk bronzers and blushes. But come to think of it I’ve only worn foundation twice since the start of lockdown. Maybe that’s it? 🙈

This sounds like a quick formulation and launch. It does not look or sound well formulated at all and it’s just kind of thrown on the market. It is an all oil base product which isn’t surprising for clean beauty; most products seem to be an oil/wax base with pigment added. Thank you for the review! Hard pass for sure.
Hang in there with pregnancy! I know it’s difficult and thankfully human gestation isn’t as lengthy as an elephant’s 😆 but sure feels like it!
As a formulator I also can’t stand these “synthetic- free” type claims. Big can of ignorant worms. I’m really happy it is getting acknowledged though! Loved your candidness about the clean dirt and oil!
After years in the clean scene, I’ve also noticed that many brands such as Gressa Skin, KW, others, and even brands like E.LF. No longer have reviews are their websites. Super frustrating as this reduces the likelihood of someone purchasing a product based on lack of testimonial.
I’d rather have people have to mix shades than have no shades that go deep enough or light enough for some people. If you do 12 shades. This is how to do it. With maybe a couple more dark shades
