The next time you guys are in Atlanta, y'all should go to Buford Highway. There's a diverse choice of foods in that area from Mexican, Colombian, American, Korean, Chinese, Vietnamese and all other restaurants in that area. Krog Street Market also has great amounts of restaurants as well.

Loved the food tour and like Matt I’m a huge burger fan but my all time favorite meal is fried chicken with all the sides and it looks like the Busy Bee Cafe is the go to spot. Now, the snake. My husband is from Georgia and he’s taken me to the Varsity as I’ve never been and I honestly didn’t like it which surprised him and his family 😅 but the restaurant itself is pretty cool! Next time you visit Georgia, you should go to Savannah/Tybee Island area. Amazing food, tons of history, and really cool haunted tours. Safe traveling!!

For ideas of cities to do food you’re. NYC or Los Ángeles. You can not survive as a restaurant unless you have good food, because word of mouth will bring your restaurant down quicker than anything. So you can basically eat anywhere and be good. However for NYC there’s this Korean hot chicken in Brooklyn called Unidentified Flying Chickens. You say to die for woot to describe food. If your taste buds are anything like mine. This will be no different. And then in Los Angeles in Hollywood there’s a restaurant called Fat Sal’s. They have a Buffalo chicken poutine and instead of gravy. They drizzle ranch over it. I’m going to both nyc and Los Angeles on my upcoming trip. Can’t wait!

Yeah Busy Bee usually you can eat inside even though there isn't much space but 2020 changed that. I haven't tried to eat inside in a while there. But I love Busy Bee's food! And yeah you are right, I live in Atlanta and I refuse to eat at The Varsity lol. I had no idea there were that many parking spots there though. I hope you enjoyed your Georgia stop on your 50 states tour! And yes they are bad for the tickets in Little Five Points, if they don't see you walk to the meter (even though you paid via an app) they will ticket you. It has happened to me! I just submitted my receipt on ATL's website.

As a lifetime GA resident, I was hoping you would choose Savannah instead of Atlanta. It has so much more to see and do. Also, we have a couple of small towns in the North GA mountains that are special. Dahlonega and Helen GA are wonderful. I have eaten at The Ponce Market, The Vortex and Mary Mac's and enjoyed all, but as a southern born Georgia peach, I am not a fan of cobbler. I just eat peaches by themselves and drool. Hope you make another trip to GA in the future. 🍑🍑🍑
Good video felt for your tummy’s though. But next time y’all need to go back and do one about tourist attractions. King Center, Jimmy Carter Museum, Coke Museum, Margaret Mitchell House, Centennial Park, CNN Center. Those were hot spots I went to 3 years ago there. Plus I went to Varsity but ordered to go so my friend can get food home to her man.

You guys should definitely come to SAVANNAH, GEORGIA....it is rich in history, food, river on one and the Atlantic Ocean on the other....it is only 4hrs from ATL ...but so well worth the trip ...people are still wholesome and authentically kind. GA Native here and you are right. Peach Cobbler is supposed to have crumble. Also, Buford Highway (as commented before) is a can't miss. You all really missed out on Five Daughter's at Ponce City Market...well then again, you're from Nashville, but still, way better than Sublime... IMO. If you come to Portland OR, hit me up! My coffee shop is Venster Coffee in downtown and lots of good eats here.
Every peach cobbler that ive ever had is the "batter on top" kind like in this. I've only ever seen the crumble kind on tv from non native Georgian's, so it's interesting to hear that it is also authentic. Now im going to see if i can find a cobbler origin story. It would make sense that the heavy English influence via Savannah would suggest that it comes from the English crumbles. I just can't accept that my Mom's peach cobbler isn't THE recipe 😂
Just looked it up and yeah, came from England, then was perfected by slaves over here. Almost every picture that i saw looked like what I'm used to, which has a thick batter on top that is a bit crispy, but a little chewy, and pillowy. Definitely not a crumble or cornbread consistancy.

Yeah Busy Bee usually you can eat inside even though there isn't much space but 2020 changed that. I haven't tried to eat inside in a while there. But I love Busy Bee's food! And yeah you are right, I live in Atlanta and I refuse to eat at The Varsity lol. I had no idea there were that many parking spots there though. I hope you enjoyed your Georgia stop on your 50 states tour! And yes they are bad for the tickets in Little Five Points, if they don't see you walk to the meter (even though you paid via an app) they will ticket you. It has happened to me! I just submitted my receipt on ATL's website.

As a lifetime GA resident, I was hoping you would choose Savannah instead of Atlanta. It has so much more to see and do. Also, we have a couple of small towns in the North GA mountains that are special. Dahlonega and Helen GA are wonderful. I have eaten at The Ponce Market, The Vortex and Mary Mac's and enjoyed all, but as a southern born Georgia peach, I am not a fan of cobbler. I just eat peaches by themselves and drool. Hope you make another trip to GA in the future. 🍑🍑🍑

Good video felt for your tummy’s though. But next time y’all need to go back and do one about tourist attractions. King Center, Jimmy Carter Museum, Coke Museum, Margaret Mitchell House, Centennial Park, CNN Center. Those were hot spots I went to 3 years ago there. Plus I went to Varsity but ordered to go so my friend can get food home to her man.

GA Native here and you are right. Peach Cobbler is supposed to have crumble. Also, Buford Highway (as commented before) is a can't miss. You all really missed out on Five Daughter's at Ponce City Market...well then again, you're from Nashville, but still, way better than Sublime... IMO. If you come to Portland OR, hit me up! My coffee shop is Venster Coffee in downtown and lots of good eats here.
Every peach cobbler that ive ever had is the "batter on top" kind like in this. I've only ever seen the crumble kind on tv from non native Georgian's, so it's interesting to hear that it is also authentic. Now im going to see if i can find a cobbler origin story. It would make sense that the heavy English influence via Savannah would suggest that it comes from the English crumbles. I just can't accept that my Mom's peach cobbler isn't THE recipe 😂
Just looked it up and yeah, came from England, then was perfected by slaves over here. Almost every picture that i saw looked like what I'm used to, which has a thick batter on top that is a bit crispy, but a little chewy, and pillowy. Definitely not a crumble or cornbread consistancy.

Not going to lie. There IS peach cobbler that has crumbles on it. I honestly think that Mary Mac's Tea Room is going off reputation, because some of their food tastes like it comes from a can.
We totally agree about Mary Mac's... Some of the food was ok, but some definitely tasted like it was from a can! A little disappointing.
