I always thought that by the time Velasquez got to the WWE. He had accumulated so many injuries from his time in MMA. That he really wasn't able to perform all that well. Hence the short time in WWE.
They also make fun of mma fighters who join wwe and say "he got his ass whooped and went to fake fighting" but that fake fighting pays more than mma lol
@@devilkazumi578 yeah and more regular pay if you’re in a big org, rather than 3-5 (at most) paydays a year. The show/ win pay model is also brutal. It’s good these guys can make some money elsewhere. It’s the entertainment business.
The mad thing is that pro wrestling started off as mma in the 19th century. It was real, it was different wrestling styles plus eastern martial arts but no striking. But there was no tv and tickets cost a couple of cents. So the guys had to fight 250-300 times a year just to survive. So they started faking it to avoid injury. Then they started adding stories to draw bigger crowds.
@@edmann1820The funniest part is the wrestling got exposed as fake back in the 30s but nobody cared since what they were doing was funner to watch than real wrestling
Cain Velasquez & Dominick Cruz are so much prone to injury & doesn't heal quickly whereas Donald Cerrone & Kevin Holland can fight almost every weekend😮
Cain wasn’t even as big as he should have been in the UFC because Velazquez doesn’t have a personality. He isnt the smartest tool in the box, but he can fight. But that isn’t enough to be a giant in either business like McGregor or even as The Undertaker
How many 90s kids we got here, who are lucky to be alive with the crazy wrestling moves they tried out on friends, i often thi k back and think how lucky I am not to be an a wheel chair or worse, we would jump off the roof I took a pile driver, my mate was so confident he could do it right and blam slammed my head onto the grass, so many injuries, great times
We had master lock challenge when we were 15 after school. Like real master lock challenge not pretending. Legitimately putting pressure and you had to escape 😂😂😂
Covid ruined everything for Cain due to the lay offs plus he had a knee injury he sustained when he fought Francis that same year otherwise he could've been in the royal rumble as planned and faced Brock at wrestlmania to become champ.
WWE messes up constantly with a UFC guy they have with Bobby Lashley. Bobby vs Brock should've happened a long time ago. From a sheer legit standpoint both are incredible real life fighters who match each other in how jacked they are
Cain looked like a janitor, had no clue about how to have a match, and wasn't exactly someone who could talk people into the arena. If you don't have any of the three key ingredients of being a good wrestler, then you do not belong in a main roster ring, especially not the main event, people realized it and turned quickly.
its funny because the mma were big fans of wrestling and guys like undertaker , but undertaker went to those events because he was a really big mma fan and was a fan of all those guys. so when they take a photo whos really taking a photo with who at that point.
I find it hilariously ironic that trained fighters & martial artists don't get injured in the sport they do. But when they go to WWE where everything is scripted, then they get hurt. Like wtf?
Because both use different techniques and have different conditioning. Scripted but dangerous. In fact, one reason it's scripted is because you need to follow one or else you'll get hurt.
Unfortunately Cain does not have it for WWE To be a wwe wrestler, you need athleticism, technicality and personality. Unfortunately Cain doesn't have both. He sure does have cardio and fighting skills but it's useless
He failed because his only relevancy was his feud with brock...thats it once it's over...he's over so yeah he was never meant for wwe...but an mma legend

He did some stuff for AAA (Mexican lucha promotion) but his legal issues got in the way and he could barely travel.
So many MMA fans hate professional wrestling and are basically threatened by it but you see guys like Matt Hughes and Cain love it lol.

You have to be a good actor to become a successful pro wrestler. You have to have a personality for it.
Thank you holy shit ‼️

Matt Hughes running wrestling moves by him before a fight sounded like quite a scene 😂

Cain was just a very boring wrestler brought in so Brock get his “revenge”
What?
Joe Rogan’s 180 needs to studied. He talked the most shit on pro wrestling until the company he works for became partners with wwe
Cain was just so broken down by the time hit WWE
Not true just watch how wrestled in México , wwe limited hes wrestling moves like they always do
