If the GonePoo overheated, consider removing the battery from the unit, putting a dummy battery (fleabay, the usual places) and wire the dummy battery's wire to a hand holder with an integrated battery.

@@aserta I've never dealt with a GoPOS myself, but when I use my phone to watch a livestream, I always plug it into the charger, and it stays at 100% and doesn't heat up - it will even charge it up fully if I start with a lower charge. I hate it when a streamer's phone or camera dies before their stream is supposed to be over.
If GoPOS's have a jack for an external power source, I'd try using that.

You will note here the father-son enablement dynamic when purchasing old machinery. This is why addiction to buying money pits (old cars, motorcycle, tractors etc.) runs in families. Younger men will inevitably end up inheriting their father's projects leaving them the proud owners of rusting family heirlooms. "Dis was your grandfather's tractor," he'll one day say to a child completely bemused by an archaic bit of rusty machinery "never ran quite right." 😊

That would be a nice little machine to have around for me. Looks like you and your Dad have more than enough to fill your parking areas. Lost my dad back in '82. I was working trying to keep my new family going and didn't spend much time with him. Last time I talked to him was on the phone while he was in the hospital his last time. He asked me how my boy was doing and my boy wasn't born for another month after the conversation!! Cherish the time together!!!

Treat these times as precious I never got to do these with my dad. He died in 1982 when I was 23 years old. He had cancer it changed his personality it took all the happiness and good out of him and he died very unhappy and he did that to everybody around him. If you have a good rapport with your dad and he's there to be with you just enjoy it!

Cheers on the fix with your Dad. He's cool. Lost my Dad in 1986- He served 24 years Air Force and 14 years FAA-Not 30 days after retirement at 56. Sure was a swell Father he raised 4 boys and 2 girls. Hard to write about him brings tears. In 1950 starting out in Alamogordo N.M. just 5 years after the a bomb test-cant understand why ones do so much harm all for power..Thanks Wes and all comments below..be well all 👍😎

I wasn't even 15 seconds in and when I saw you grab the pile of starter fluid I knew it was going to be a good one.
