@Shortcat321 I mean, Troy has been a long time veteran of MKWii and MK8, mostly MKWii, but still, he is but a god at this game and likely always will be. I agree with how scientists should examine his skills before hitting 30K lol.

This feels crazy when Troy used to be the one teaching his friends like Justin, Sam, Colton, Matt, etc. the shortcuts for the shortcut challenge videos Troy used to make all those years ago, now Shortcat is teaching Troy the hardstuff in MK8.
The OG days. The best days. I’ll always have RTCT and the shortcut challenges in my heart… now he’s not doing it for fun, he’s doing it as his literal job. Time goes too fast man:(
@@Unknown_user_6 Same, I grew up watching the shortcut challenges, his old custom track streams and RTCT all those years ago back in late 2012/early 2013 which was when I first started watching him. I was only 7 years old at the time and I just turned 19 a few days back.

the best crossover!!! i also started to try a lot of the more difficult shortcuts after i found shortcats channel. helped me a lot to do better in worldwides!!
i love this community... we all got into mk as this anger-inducing childrens party game and may end up with people like these two guys, working together, teaching eachother and hyping eachother up. basically a 180 degree turn
This is how the top mk leaderboard players drive. Players like Frozen, L1am, Haupi and EmilP. These guys all had world records on certain tracks. Troy is gonna be wild :D

This was the most wholesome Mario Kart video I've seen. Like an older brother teaching a younger brother how to play a game! 😄 Shortcat gave a really good tutorial and Troy really picked these shortcuts up quick!
I actually didn't know a few of these shortcuts, so I have to try these out. Granted online is a totally different story as you have to contend with getting bashed by items while properly performing these!

I mean, she’s basically a reskin of the filthy lizard, so I don’t respect anyone who plays her, using the meta combo required zero skill
You say this now but when its competitive(lounge tier fg+, clan wars, its kinda required to use it since youre likely to get targeted by others when using a different combo. @OtisCluck
@@OtisCluck zero skill? driving with all combos takes basicaly the same ammoiuunt of skill, if not more for meta combo bc u have to do lots of tec with ur high miniterbo and kinda low speed

This was great. I was a little surprised that on Piranha Plant Cove y'all didn't go for the full shortcut on the second one, where there is a miniturbo trick off the ledge, landing on top of the wall and going into a drift, then going over the top of all the rock and landing much further around the corner with a UMT.

I'm by no means an expert at some of these courses, but I've been finally able to get my barely over 2 min record on Wario Stadium, down to 1min 57, just by mastering these time saves. These are great!

Just now I realized ShortCat is a word pun with shortcut
This is all nice and useful in time trials… but which ones are worth going for in races? Taking other players and items into consideration! The possibility of getting red shelled, or struck by lightning…
All of these are worth it if you can do them consistently! There are shortcuts in this game that are not worth going for online (cheese land has a few) but I only taught Troy the useful ones
for the tram shortcut, if you hit the blue toad on the side he will instantly turn and correct you to the right way
it might be a bit slower buts its easier for me
