    For planting in the green may I suggest watching griggs farm on CZcams. They are based here in Tennessee, but plant in cover crops. Might give y'all some ideas for planting in cover crops. Have a great weekend.

      Good luck to you too! It seems like it does better planting into rye 🤷‍♂️

    That is gorgeous
    This is the first spring I actually have some cover crop growth ahead of the row crops
    A lot of years I look at you guys down south and think man that is so nice because we have green fuzz. LOL
    I found with covers that the Planters have no problem making the slot and putting the seed in the ground. It actually works really well but closing the slot is the challenge

    In the Netherlands are we also late. It is wet since october and begin of may we have 2 weeks that we on the field. And the other days it was to wet but we need to do the work on the field. Not ideal but when we are waiting for good conditions we con do only the half of the work.

    I have a question for you? why does farmers buy two planners??? I know a lot farners use Air Drills and not use old Drills???

    • @WesFarms
      @WesFarms  Před měsícem +1

      Some bigger farms need multiple planters. There has been a lot of research the past few years that shows planting soybeans earlier than corn results in much higher yields so many farmers have one rig for corn and one rig for beans. We like the air seeder for its simplicity and speed. Planters are more precise but seeders and drills get the job done. It’s all personal preference.
