Bruce was the reason I watched Moonlighting week to week back when I was a teen in the 80s.Had no idea who he was in 1985 but you could see he was major star in the making. Both Bruce and Cybil were absolutely electric together and Cybil, herself, gave the most unreserved, expressive and humorous performances I've ever had the privilege to witness. One of the best shows on tv ever.Bruce wholeheartedly deserved this win.
Bruce Willis deserve this award!!He was amazing in the show so much talent.......He is so funny .....I love Moonlighting......Demi his ex-wife was in the audience...I love maddie&David soooooo much chemistry together in the show.....
@@jansdoe6963psst...*whispery voice* I've been binge-watching the episodes on here for the past week or so before they get taken down. Just look 'em up ;)
@@rah62 Well, you sound like a bitter, miserable little person lol. Hey, try finding some sunshine in your dreary, miserable life. Just because you don't believe in a higher power doesn't give you the right to spit on it for those that do. Wouldn't kill ya to have some respect and tolerance.
This was him saying how far he had come in the US of A in three years. As for "god" Bruce is an atheist actually. "Willis was a Lutheran, but no longer practices. In a July 1998 interview with George magazine, he stated: "Organized religions in general, in my opinion, are dying forms. They were all very important when we didn't know why the sun moved, why weather changed, why hurricanes occurred, or volcanoes happened."
Greatest show about a man & a woman relationship ever!! Bruce as David Addison showed the range few actors can. A stooge one moment then Al Pacino in the next. Bruce & Cybill Shepard had the Chemistry rarely seen on television. It's 2022 but M🌒🌒NLIGHTING is forever. 💞
Happy that the show is finally on streaming so that I can see what he was before he became a huge movie star. His current condition deeply saddens me. Life can be incredibly cruel.
Honestly David Addison and John McClaine from the first Die Hard was Bruce at his best! He never had better roles than those two characters that really showed the balance of his dramatic range and comedic sensibilities. It's unfortunate that he's been stuck in the same box for over 30 years. He's quite versatile as an actor but hasn't gotten to show it thanks to Hollywood's pigeon holing.
@@jackielyles4081 Ah yes. I think Sixth Sense was the last time Bruce really gave any real effort in his acting. After that his amazing talents has been wasted imo.
He so deserved this. He was fantastic on that show, and should have gotten it for putting up with Cybill Shephard alone, who was beautiful, but vacuous, in my opinion.
He never would have gotten the part, let alone been so good at it without her. She may have been difficult and a diva but she had undeniable talent in her own right and their shared chemistry is what catapulted the show and Bruce into fame.
The part of David Addison was practically uncastable according to creator Glen Gordon Caron. Bruce was the only guy at that period who could've ever played that part. (Bill Murray was a movie star and James Garner was a bit too old at that point). Heck if you're a fan of Psych or NCIS then one can say that Shawn Spencer and Tony DiNozzo only exist thanks to Bruce.

Love Bruce & Cybill to the Max!!! My favorite show, ever!!! “Moonlighting” forever!!! ❤️❤️
"God bless America..." Words never uttered at an award ceremony again.
Good! I don't want to see actors claiming some imaginary being helped them win an award.
@@rah62 Ouch. I saw that coming though.

He’s adorable
He was also the host of that year's event. It was the first Emmy Awards ever to air on Fox.
BEST SHOW EVER
We are proud of you too Bruce

I thought he was incredible in The Sixth Sense--really showed his range. Great, underrated actor.

Unbreakable was also terrific, and I want to include The Fifth Element as the last of peak Willis for me.
@@MichaelSTaylor Oh, you're right I'm forgetting Fifth Element, he was great there too. One of his best films.
He played agaist the type in "Death Becomes Her" and it's easily one of his best performances.
best actor my favorite
What a class act.
Love u Bruce Willis
Gven that Willis and Cybil Shepard didn't get on, it was very gracious of him to thank her.
Mi Actor Favoritos
Love me some bruceeeee
Back when you could talk for minutes instead of seconds when you won an award
Bruce is sooo hooot and so funnnny
and young Demi...
So many people mentioned and not her, though.
Bring back Moonlighting. Original cast please.
Well if Bruce and Cybill would ever get their acts together we could've had a bunch of reunion movies by now lol.
@@kendallrivers1119 I have read many times that no one wants to work with her. Unfortunately it is too late for Bruce.
One of the best

Back when awards shows weren't political BS attack shows.. before actors went insane...back when they had class and didn't show their A$$
I remember his sticking his tongue out, but I forgot why he did it. It had something to do with Cybil Sheppard.
That was a good speech, but I don´t think he thanked his wife...
Why is this audio only?
I had not problem with the Video.
Emmy for a drama? Thought that show was a comedy
It was, action comedy and some drama.
Genre drama comedy
They switch from Comedy to Drama. Same as Orange is The New Black
No thank you for Cybill Sheperd?
@@tommy9758 He thanked her, troll.
