You know a song is amazing when it inspires a movie (Indian Runner) and another band writes a song to fill in the background. There was no song “Night of theJohnstown Flood” until some years after Bruce recorded this one then the Rock Creek Jug Band was inspired to their song- “Night of the Johnstown Flood.” Johnny Cash even covered this to great success.
Wow...."nothing feels better than blood on blood"....people say his version isn't as good as someone else's. I checked it out and can honestly say, Bruce's versions have no challenge, the song belongs to a vision that is fully Springsteen...this is the song's truth....
