    Omg thank you. I've had parts waiting on the shelf and am attacking this today. Exact bike and my side cover was stuck.

    My clutch not (2001 model) has a notch on the clutch nut to keep it from spinning? How does yours come off without addressing the pinched part of the nut?

    • @lp.670
      @lp.670  Před 10 měsíci

      Sir I'm sorry I didn't understand what you were saying I think your other part of the cable nut you need to turn it to were it will line up to were you can remove the cable

      @@lp.670 On my 2001 750 ACE, there is a flat part inside the clutch nut that is pinched in. Your nut unscrewed easily. Mine does not. Did you do anything to ease the nut removal?

      @@markkaplan2133 I think I know what you are saying now you should be able to put a pair of pliers and turn it and turn it up not down turning it down will tighten it up

      @@markkaplan2133 I understand what you're asking. The locking nut in the middle that goes on before the 4 springs and square plate. The main nut that torques down.
      You need to use a flat head to nicely push out the locking nuts flange. Don't hit too hard, you can damage the shafts threads. (I did that). Took me 3 locking nuts all with stripped threads to finally get my clutch one. Be careful un-indenting it

    What was the final outcome please. Did your replacement solve your clutch problem?

    • @lp.670
      @lp.670  Před rokem +2

      Mr Bob yes sir it did solve the problem but the problem was not needing a new clutch the problem was the old clutch did not have oil on it and that's the reason why when I put it in gear it would start to move and the thing is I bought the new clutch and I figured I might as well go ahead and put the new clutch in everything is working perfect thank you for your comment sir very appreciative 👍👍👍👍🤗

    My friend has a 2002 ace and i followed your video which was very helpful but for some reason the cable adjustment at both ends is maxed out and it still wants to slightly pull while the lever is pulled in. Also gear changes are really stiff almost like no clutch at all. Any ideas? Im about to pull it back apart at this point i moved one piece at a time to make sure i got the washers and all the discs right but idk something isnt cosher

      There is a small clutch disk that is the top disk and one video showed that you have to rotate it to the next notch in the basket different from the rest so that's what we did and it caused the issue we took it all back apart and everything was correct so we said let's try this and we kept all disks in the same spot and he said it rides fine now

    • @lp.670
      @lp.670  Před rokem

      Mr Jimmy from what it sounds like either the friction has done deteriorated off of the clutches or the springs has backed off inside the clutch anyway if you can hear it go in gear but the bike is not moving there's some serious issues right there do try this with the motorcycle switched off put it in gear and see if you can push it forward and backward with the clutch out it sounds like me there's some serious issues with that clutch it it needs to be looked at be honest with you I wish I could tell you better but I cannot I really don't know I have never run across a problem like that but if you will please look into it find out what it is and let me know sir 👍 thank you for your comment 🙏
