Thatâs true, when Dressurf sets scores on the new 10 star and 11 star maps he will definitely be back in the #1 spot. However I think that he is wanting to set scores on the maps but only if he can get the top score, I was watching one of his streams and he was playing the 11 star Last Wish map, he was about to get the top score until he started messing up the very last segment of the song with the scream, he quit the song 5 seconds before it was done. So until he decides to set scores on them, Bssd (and possibly Kura later on) will remain as the top ranked players

I love watching in awe at top level 7k. I physically cannot read this on a 30 fps screen because of ghosting.
Mania PP record are soo frequent imo compared to any other gamemodes
cause there's no maps to farm, when one is finally available, top players can typically crush it lol

@DeathbySpd Ah, I see what your getting at. I was confused cause you kinda just restated the problem. We donât have enough maps because there arenât enough mappers, so like, duh.
To answer your actual point, it is much more difficult to make very high level mania maps compared to something like standard. Players can play stuff so fast and dense, that most everything becomes very over mapped before it catches up to player skill.
Additionally, though 7k gives the most pp, its community is also much smaller, so even less maps get made. Also no need to start insulting the community? Really rude for no reason
@Deathby spd In the past, there wasn't an editor for mania. So mappers had to place notes on the standard editor in a way that translates to mania. Idk how long this lasted but it seems like a pretty big setback
Also, lots of people complain about the strict rules for mapping, deterring people from even wanting to rank maps
Most mania players from my experience play graveyards maps and especially ones that are converted from other VSRGs. You can't rank these maps

How can they see the notes at high speed? Any tricks and tips? Do they memorize the pattern or they really know the notes coming?
We read and press all the notes as they show up, we get better at reading denser patterns the more we play
thereâs really no memorization in mania other than stuff like svâs and not sightreading the map for the first time. for new players.. or any player really then its only a matter of practicing, learning how to play patterns faster and more accurately.
Can someone tell how human fingers can keep up with this.

I've just look through the map lb and there's so much scores with Mirror, does that make any difference
it's just player preference, doesn't give any pp
It just makes it easier for some people it doesnât affect your score or pp
even among mania players they will have a worse hand, so I'm guessing they use mirror mod when there are harder patterns on their weaker/slower/less control hand side

@@DyDam-go2qy i think they might have messed something up when they were trying to nerf ln before but Ln is the only thing i can think of that is a negative. personally i like that mania is completely acc based pp wise and you cant fc a map with 64 acc and still get pp. I also think that standard is much more of a gamble i mean most 1ks are either set instantly with luck or a shit ton of attempts until they get lucky
