    Though in his 70s Colin still sings rings around those half his age.Saw them on the O and O tour a couple of years ago and he blew me away.

    Kinda funny the Band broke up BEFORE their biggest hit came out. Giving them life again. No wonder they were called The Zombies.

      If they hadn’t broken up we might not have had another legendary band. An American con man hired two groups of musicians to go on tour as the Zombies to “fulfill contractual requirements”. When the scam got busted two members of one of the bands decided to keep playing together and formed Z Z Top.

      We had this album. I agree with you. The singing arrangement is so different. And Bloomstone's breathy style, just so great. One of the best bands of that era. They influenced a lot of folks. Still are, like they said.

    I saw these guys in concert in the '00s sometime along with some other 60's era bands like Jefferson Airplane, 10 years After, Big Brother and the Holding Company -- a couple more. The Zombies were the best. Just blew me away.

      it has gotten to the point where the RR Hall of Fame is meaningless. Zombies had several hit songs in the 60s but nothing close to truly talented and prolific bands like Beatles, Stones, Beach Boys, Mamas and Papas, Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac, and others. If everyone gets a prize then the prize is meaningless...jus sayn'

    The first time I heard this great song , I was 14 and we were driving home from the funeral home after my grandfather died , and it came on the ol' A.M. radio, I loved it , but it was always haunting to me at the same time, reminding me of his death .R.I.P. grandpa .

      It's because they are showing some dirty disco version in the background while referencing a classic song

    Love the song (and the group), but the M.O.R. speeded-up lounge-lizard version used for this show is pretty tasteless. But thanks, anyway, for featuring the (only?) song to rival that Pink Floyd one with "b-boom cha-cha", from I think, "Piper At the Gates..." album.

      Sounds more like out of control egos trying to outdo each other than artists working together to capture the vibe and the magic. It's like they're not even hearing it. Makes me cringe listening to them live.

      @@rollingtroll you must've bumped your head and knocked your hearing out of whack...that was some of the worst singing possible especially for a "professional" singer. It was forced -flat- his nasal voice NOT his chest voice...there was nothing musical about his "singing" in that performance as if he were tone deaf.
      He looked and acted like he was giddy - like he had taken some kind of uppers and was flying pretty high at the moment.

    The lead singer's voice is angelic... but he apparently never sings the song the way it is on the recording. Too self indulgent. It's a perfect song on the recording.

    The band didn't really had a good name for their kind of music and image in my humble opinion. The Zombies is a band name for something like Death Metal Hardcore or so. Never liked the name The Zombies.
