I was with her in bed, I was homeless so yeah she’s pretty nice
I wanna let you know the last game in this video. I was the shiny armor guy Joe. Hurt my feelings xD
You suck he says
It's in a really good starting place. It's a little bare bones in spots but the bottom line is it's fun. I've had games where my team just gets destroyed with no chance of winning and I still had fun.

@@the_reasonable_one5554 Agreed. A good game comes out as $40 when they could've easily charged $60, and yet they still denigrate it as being too expensive. Wtf is that about?
Last I checked, there have been $60 games with much less content than this, or with less polish or fun factor - and essentially, this game is all about fun factor. This game is easily worth $40, and I'll even advocate it being $30, but anything less than that and you're just being cheap, because this game is definitely worth more than $20.
They deserve praise for the price, and for the fact that the game is a passion project above all else. The micro-transactions in it are extremely superficial. You can earn everything in game, so it's not very fair to criticize it as a manipulative practice in this game, when in other games it's like gambling.

It might be worth $40 if progression wasn't so slow for the main purpose of encouraging microtransaction purchases.
@@Intranetusa I don't think it's for microtransaction. it's for keeping people engage that always need to have something to work for. I put 360 hours into Chivalry 1 back in the day and it was so much great fun. I really want to get Chivalry 2 but I'm going to wait for it to come out on Steam. With the EGS exclusivity and the slow progression + microtransactions it seems that Deep $ilver is a money grabbing kind of publisher, and unless the slow progression is sped up I'll only get the game on sale, if at all.
You'll be buying the same game over again. Try out Mordhau.
my guess is if you bought this you'd put quite the amount of hours in and be able to buy all those items with the in game currency provided. the slow progression for the most part melts away pretty quickly and you need to realize this is for starting equipment. you can use any weapon in the game if you pick it up. and weapons are not really better or worse. all the weapons have their functions. some excel at certain things.
The progression doesn’t feel slow at all IMO. The game itself is so fun that matches fly by and before I know it I have the rank/currency to buy the things I want. Give it a chance. You won’t regret it.
One of the intros has the guy saying “what I want on my fries? MALT VINEGAR! MALT VINEGAR!!!!” XD
Your first mistake was playing this game in third person. Honestly I have no idea why people play this in third person, first person just feels so much more satisfying and immersive. Also I just think the camera benefits you more in first person, only drawback is when you’re getting ganged up on and can’t see everyone but third person is still too wonky feeling for that
Each to their own and 1st person is more immersive. Completely agree. However the gameplay benefits to 3rd person for outweighs 1st person. Especially in the 64 player battles where you rarely get a 1v1 without someone coming up on you which you cannot see in 1st person. If there was a dual mode then I'd deffo go 1st person though when it's less chaotic
When games don’t take a long time to unlock cosmetics or upgrades joe considers the game shallow. When games actually take some time to unlock weapons or abilities joe considers it too slow. He said he played 10 hours but expects to have top Tier cosmetics and weapons unlocked. Sometimes I think he has to find any issue he can. The progress might be slow but if it where faster he would complain about it be to fast/ shallow progression.
Facts like if I unlocked everything in 10 hours I wouldn’t have a reason to play again
Because the game is fun? Unlocks are basically to keep you addicted.
Hopefully all the bugs will be fixed by the time the game comes out of "beta"

@@brendanpotter9803 Is it really?? That's hilarious
It's finished. You're missing out with that attitude...in a year mostly hardcore players who have mastered the game will be playing and this game takes skill so you coming in late is weak. Detailed maps, polished combat, 64 player mayhem...its finished so stoo lying to yourself
chivalry 1 never got past patch 1.00 I wouldn't trust them not to cut and run
This is one of those games that can keep on chugging in the long run just like 1. Pick it up at sale for 10-20 dollars/euros.
I don't want to see mtx in an unfinished game. Finish your game first before you even consider opening a store in the game..

Remember to battlecry when you respawn!
This game is so much fun. Even when you die you feel like with a bit more skill you could have survived. It's a lot more satisfying than many shooter games. Just remember not to let yourself get separated from the larger group, you'll live a lot longer
I've got almost over 1000h on the original, played a few times in tournaments as well (SM Monkeys community). Chivalry 1 was *amazing* and the only thing that really hurdled the original was the netcode and server performance problems. Chivalry 2 currently looks BARREN compared to 1, especially in terms of the amount of weapons to start with. There isn't even multiple types of spears (where's the Brandistock and the other ones?). And, as I can tell from the video, the microtransactions that are DIRECTLY related to the freakin progress is absolutely insane and unacceptable. If that stuff remains in the game I'm not even going to try.
Noticed that myself. It seems like the rather extensive customization options from Chivalry 1 are also completely removed. Preset outfits appear (could be wrong) are all that we get.
Just to let you know there is a Roadmap for this game! Might see something you like if you look into it. :)
- Chivalry 2:

This is one of the most fun games I've played in a long time. Unfortunately the UI and upgrade menus are terrible. I LOVE the combat, its amazing. Once you start to get the hang of it, its so addicting. Really hoping they continue to add content and improvements to this game.
One little detail I’ve noticed is that one trick you can do is switch to a faster weapon like a knife. Newer players stick to the heavy weapons so you can out speed them and cut them down easily.

*It's 1 year Epic exclusive. Wait for the Epic Beta tester to find all the bugs and buy it a year later (maybe) fixed on a steam sale.*
You progress proportional to how good you are, as it has always been just like chivalry 1, after nearly 4500 hours on it, the rank is still 60 and it requires millions of kills, of course after so many hours you're like a happy farmer at it. But yea to have real fun in these games you need some skill. The price would be worth it.. if they finally think out of the damn box and make the game everybody needs.
6:36 this was hilarious!
40 dollars ??? Lol. Here in Brazil it’s 15 Dollars and with Epic coupon some people payed 8 Dollars. Get a VPN guys.
I already bought it, I feel like 40 is a great price for this game and Joe is overreacting. But, is that possible? Using a VPN to buy from a different country? What if I changed my Xbox's localization?
@@ceetruth4709 40 Dollars might be okay in US but for our country it's 1/5 of minimum salary. So 15 Dollars is more fair. I know that on Steam using a VPN was possible last year but now Valve blocked this. I think that Epic Store might not have a protection for using VPN yet. I remmember that I changed my Xbox location in 2014 and it worked.
@@antonybr1 I'll keep that in mind for next time then to see if it works.
40$ for 8 maps................if thats a little bare bones then how about battlefield 2042, with 7 maps for between 70 and 120, plus MTX, plus season pass?
im still getting the next battlefield no matter what but i do agree with you about it only having 7 maps for 70 $ hopefully there quick to add more content same with chivalry
@@brandonhasting2960 that's 10 bucks a map sir 😂
curious to know what you would think about the current state of For Honor. Is in the 5th year now and the 29th hero of the game is coming next month.
For Honor is the salt my doctor keeps telling me to remove from my diet but I just caaaan’t.
Ha, Even Joe knows that EGS exclusivity is disappointing and affects the game's reputation...
dunno why ppl give epic shit. they’re great. give more money to the devs, constantly have free games available and customer service is waaaaaay better than steam. the even refunded me $15 for chivalry when it released during a sale and i didn’t even ask for it.
Because platform locking is never the answer.
@@DavidBarlowDavido01 well maybe steam shouldn't be so greedy then and pay devs more. it also promotes competition between these big companies. which intern only benefits us, the consumer. people freak out if a game isnt on steam for reasons i will never know, like how hard is it for you to click on a different app and click play on that one instead? this bandwagon just makes no sense to me.
@@shootermcgavin9266 Greedy? They provide a whole entire store and multiplayer development ecosystem for developers. That still to this day is unrivalled. No other company has even come close to offering the same functionality and convenience. For both developer and consumer. I wish there were more choices too. However at the moment far richer companies have tried and failed.
Dude really? Epic makes unreal engine, 80% of the games are made in unreal, don't know how steam "helps" developers but it sure makes tons of money from them!
I DIED LAUGHING AT 17:59 “so much fun in that waaaayyyyyyy (coughs) hold on GOD D F%@$’in 😂”
it will be released on steam? i loved the first one. so if is broken now, i can wait for the steam release
How is this vs mount and blade bannerlords?
I haven't played this but to me bannerlord is 10 times better but its a matter of taste i guess
"Well it's a multiplayer so we don't have to try."
What?
I Didn’t understand the comment
Sorry, but why do people nowadays always expect to unlock EVERYTHING in a blink. Everyone wants to be max level the first afternoon they play something new ... and then they don't have anything to work for or the feeling of having something achieved ... just my two cents.
Yeah... they're being so nit picky with this. The game is definitely worth 40$...this wasn't one of their better impressions
“Game is missing menus, don’t pay full price.”
I’ve been watching Joe for almost ten years now, and this is the first time I’m disagreeing with him.
He obviously loved the game, and progression is it take a few days to get a class? That’s not bad at all. If it was a week grind for one thing, sure, but a few days is pretty typical for most games, especially from Japan.
He had a blast with what he was actually doing, and more content will likely be coming. It seems more like this would be the best time to enjoy the game, rather then waiting for a sale on a popular title.
Yea they need a first person only mode for us who like to play that way. Third person is a bigger advantage which most people play like that. Also has a ton of balancing issues. The Meta is speed, overwhelms and everything.
I still feel like 200 players servers on M&B Warband all on horses just can't be beaten.
You're right
Why why why can’t you see the class select info out of a match? It’s madness. It makes no sense. I’m glad you mentioned it. Game is a blast tho
This game does seem cool af reminds me of Mount&Blade in a way when it comes to combat but way better in that aspect I’m definitely going to buy this and try it out.
Mordhau.
I've been really enjoying it so far. I play in first person and usually come in the top 3 consistently. Learning how to time your attacks and chain them is super crucial too.
"Epic Games Store exclusive" means it doesnt exist.
Epic Store: NO!
Only a few maps: NO!
High entry price: NO!
Microtransactions: F'k NO!
Steam release will save your soul!
They had to put Microtransactions in the game because it's on the Epic Store. No one buys games on Epic so they need a steady profit instead and that's where coins come into play.
I actually get some games off epic occasionally cause when they do deep sales they give you that $10-$15 coupon off games more than $15. Sometimes they'll give you two coupons. That's really the only time I buy games off it. Or when they give me a free game I've been wanting and then just buy the DLC later
Nah more likely it's just a revenue thing because future content like maps and game modes are going to be free. Other games like COD do the same thing, free maps and weapons but paid cosmetics, which is a better system than the season pass content that divides the playerbase.
As an honest opinion, the amount of fun you have overshadows all of the cons. I hardly ever win a game and I end the match with satisfaction regardless of what happens XD
I have been playing this genre when Age of Chivalry was on steam. When they chose too be an Epic Exclusive instead of coming too Steam I'm giving it a hard pass until it comes too Steam.
I just love how he stays quiets and moves about in his chair when the situation gets tense XD
I’ll stick with Mordhau until this game gets a good sale or comes to Steam. Looks fun as hell, but yeah $40 is kinda rough.
$20 on cdkeys
Honestly, progression being slow is only slow if you plan on putting about 10-20 hours, because you’re definitely not going to unlock everything in your class within that time. After about 40 hours with my class, I already unlocked everything there is for my particular class, and now I’m just collecting a large amount of money since there is nothing else to buy. If anything, I think the customization is lacking content rather than being “too slow” to unlock.
