I like this theme of the returned coming back in a way that is quite off and not the same... I have been wanting to read some rachel harrison for a while but I think I want to start with one of hers called black sheep. I really loved my best friend's exorcism as well and thought it did things so well on the friendship side! I didn't like our wives under the sea as much though unfortunately, because it felt too open ended and light touch on the horror for my liking. House of hollow is on my tbr wishlist as well as it is one I really want to read!
Some of my friends really enjoy Rachel Harrison and I finally gave her a chance and I did enjoy The Return. I have a copy of Black Sheep so that one might be next. Her book coming out this year...looks like a vampire book and I am here for it. it's called So Thirsty Oh House of Hollow is so good!!! The atmosphere and the darkness....delicious
Love your videos! I love that you talk books and shows. I love The Traitors too. Have you watched any of the other Traitors yet like the ones from Australia and the UK? I think there are like three more besides the US. As for books, I just finished listening to Kill for Me Kill for You and I loved it! I gave it 5 stars.
Thank you so much!!! I have not seen the Traitors but now I want to! I will see if I can stream it somewhere. And also adding Kill for me kill for you to my list since I had not heard of this one. Thank you!!
Pet Sematary is an exploration of grief and the questions of life and death and the serious mistakes you can make when grief turn your life inside out Also, pet Sematary hits you differently. If you read it before you become a parent versus after you’ve become a parent.
Crossroads has been on my list for soooo long!! I really need to pick it up!
Everyone loves it so it is a safe bet...hopefully 😅
This reminds me of the classic short story “The Monkey’s Paw”, and the adage “be careful what you wish for.
Yes, it is always a cautionary tale. Always be careful of what you wish for
