I am a Protestant. Dallas is a Protestant, the cast & crew, consultants are from different faiths. It's great how 'the chosen' can unite us all. Why ? My theory: Because this show is based on the words of the gospel's, the message of Jesus, our saviour. Nothing to do with whatever tradition(s) someone comes from and lots of details, from the catholic faith as well as from the 'protesters'... etc., etc. I think there is a lesson for us all of here.
We all miss the point sometimes I feel, get so caught up with "rules" and processes that we miss the simple messages of Jesus (I understand they are important and know why there are differences, but...). Receiving Jesus Christ as Saviour. Love, kindness, compassion, the sermon on the mount, etc. Man is a sinner, can be corrupt, abuse power, literally torture and burn people in the name of faith, etc., etc. For me, its keeping and remembering the messages of Jesus and how we live and treat one another.

When I introduce The Chosen to my friends I always like to underline the fact that there are so many people from different worldviews coming together to enjoy the show and be impacted by it. Examples such as Dallas Jenkins (director) being evangelical, Jonathan Roumie (Jesus) being Catholic, George Xanthis (John) being Greek Orthodox, Luke Dimyan (Judas) being Coptic Orthodox; plus they have Jason Sobel (consultant) being Messianic Jewish rabbi, and even Angel Studios (studios and distribution) being LDS. Plus, of course, the bunch of cast and crew that will surely be agnostic or atheist. No faith based project has ever brought so many different people together to sit at Jesus's table before The Chosen.
We usually try to be cautious when claiming that some given thing is a work of the Spirit,
but oh my... if this isn't it, I don't know what else could be!

My Christian faith has grown so much as a result of watching The Chosen and Grafted! I am reading the comments below and see a perfect example of God's family coming together and unify. It is a "God-incidence" that the Chosen and Grafted were born in a time like this amount Covid and everything else. The God Revolution has started and it's called the Chosen. Yeshua is a Jewish Rabbi and I believe it is around Him as so that all denominations can come united, forgetting their differences and focusing on Him alone.

So many Catholics who had seen “The Chosen”, began listening to this Bible podcast, it became one of the top podcasts. There’s a lot of overlap between the Catholics who watch “The Chosen” and those who are listening to the Bible in a Year podcast, where if someone references “A Chosen” scene in a post on the “Bible in a Year” Facebook page, usually the other group members know what you’re talking about. For a lot of Catholics, the two things are a blessing, bringing them closer to Jesus.

Dallas' comment about the Passion of the Christ and the predictions that there would be anti-Semitic backlash expresses my own puzzlement at the time.
I can only speak for my own experience, but my experience growing up in evangelical Christianity taught me to feel a deep affinity and affection for the Jewish people. The idea of a Christian being anti-Jewish genuinely shocked me that someone could come to that conclusion. How could I not love my Lord's people? How could I feel anything but gratitude and affection for Jews?
I really love The Chosen, and I love what you guys at Grafted do.

So sorry to hear of people being offended or put off by scenarios that they just can't fathom. They're kind of missing the forest for the trees, which reminds me of the Pharisees and many Jewish people. Jesus didn't come the way they thought He would or should and, therefore, they can't accept Him as their Savior.
I've said many times the visualization of Jesus and his followers is what I "see" when I read Scripture. Helps me to immerse myself in the times of first Century Judaism. Love the rapport of this interview, and hope to see more.
My friend asked me when did I know I was a Jew? I’d never ever thought about it. If I need to be a Jew to be a hand holder of Jesus, that’s who I am. I love Him and I will never ever stop loving Him

These honest discussions have been both eye opening and refreshing. I’ve learned so much and want to know more about Jewish history. I’ve read my study bible now and watching content like this just connects and reminds us all how we are one big family despite our differences. Love, faith and hope is life. No time for division and negativity. Keep teaching us all how it’s done fellas❤️. I’m also Catholic, but I’ve had friends of many different faiths & attended their services throughout the years. To me, following different Christ based religions/faiths, is no different than having different skin/hair colors. We all believe in God/Jesus/Spirit.
That’s one of the fascinating things about ‘The Chosen’, the 12 disciples & other followers of Jesus are so different from each other, but their core faith is in Jesus. May God continue to bless ‘The Chosen’ production & all associated with it.

I went to Israel as well... but I had a Messianic Jew as a guide. It completely changed everything!! She would say, "This is the tourist attraction....let me take you to the Messianic place." It changed EVERYTHING!! I saw so many versions of truth... but NOT THE TRUTH ! It was an experience imprinted on my heart.

I am a Catholic living here in Japan, got into Chosen about a month ago and while watching it you guys just popped up and i had the urge to push my keyboard and watch your channel. And I was amazed. Beyond my understanding of Jesus and the Bible your comments and explanations added awe to myself experiencing our Lord. I am a mentally disabled as the doctors per se diagnosed me. But after really watching Grafted 24/7, which means all my waking time, except working, I am healed! I had this challenge not to take my pills, since maybe 3 weeks, and I am totally fine. When you referred to The Holy Ghost, you said the word "He"..... Thank you! And thanks God that there are people out there who understand that The Holy Ghost is not an "it". So many when they speak of Him say the words like He is a thing rather than the Person that He is. I praise God for The Chosen and for this Grafted channel. This is a really good question and answer video. And I love the realness of it. To me the movie is just one small example of how different people think it could’ve been in the time Christ. Everyone has ideas and thoughts but to me this is closer to what I would think could’ve happened in those days. It’s real simple for people to have different ideas. I’ve run across this quite a bit being a cosmetologist. When someone comes in and I said I want blonde hair and I want it to look like this. They don’t understand how many shades of blonde and brown there are, and how many different types of hair types, Such as straight, thin or maybe curly and thick. Everyone looks at things differently and that’s a gift from the Lord because if we all looked at it exactly the same way it could end up being very boring. But God creates a bouquet of ideas and they can be put together in so many wonderful ways. Jesus loves us all for all. He wants all of us with all of her imperfections. What if you do have straight teeth are crooked teeth if you have a mole on your face or if you don’t have one, if you have red brown or any color hair, etc. The word of God is true to all of us and we receive it in so many ways. This is one of the most marvelous ways I have seen it come to life. And for those that has a hard time reading or for those that do not have great understanding of things, and have heard the word preached from years past. This is a marvelous gift given to us by using Dallas Jenkins and the other writers . I continually here people say they have seen the movie and it touches them in a different way. So you see it is not even exactly the way I see it but it’s always good. So keep doing a good job Dallas and all the other That are making this happen love it and you you are a blessing.

Great interview! My favorite part was the discussion on the “back-story” focus. We all have our own story of who we are in Yeshua. How we see ourselves in scripture and how He speaks to each of us through His Word. That’s why each of us relates to different characters in The Chosen, that we can see ourselves in the experiences of a particular character. Keep up with your amazing work an content on your Grafted channel.

We are only asked to "speak the truth plainly", which you are already doing through the Chosen. Bless your team Dallas The Holy Spirit will convict and explain to these people. Human voice no matter how loud we speak and shout to them will not soften their hearts (similar to husband wife relationship in 1peter3). But the Holy Spirit has power to do that. We only obey God's instructions. Keep walking with the Spirit! 🙏 If God is for you who can be against you. Blessings
