Hello, I understand that the LS300 can do stream as well, is there a difference in functionality of both when it comes to streaming alone?
The LS300 seemed to be a better camera image quality wise because of the Super 35 sensor size.

4 years late on this.... but is it not possible to directly connect this to a PC as a camera instead of using WiFi?
1. The camera I use is GY-HM250U made by JVC. Is the battery capacity compatible with GY-HM250U only 5200mAh available? Or can I use 7800mAh? If 7800mAh is also available, I would like to purchase a battery compatible with GY-HM250U. Please tell me the link of the maximum capacity battery compatible with the GY-HM250U among the products you are selling. I will buy it.
2. Please upload a video on how to update the GY-HM250U firmware.
JVC please help. Our live stream disconnects at 30-37 minutes and then refuses to log back into Facebook. It displays..."Connection Error" the last time this happened, we reset the entire camera, reconnected the WIFI and signed back into Facebook and it worked for 34 minutes. Now we are back to square one with the camera not signing onto facebook and showing "connection error"

Do the firmware upgrade. It will then work
@@Supersillied I did the upgrade but this never worked don't buy this camera for streaming use a dedicated encoder and save yourself the trouble

our JVC GY-HM180U 4K has an A and STBY on the display and on the HDMI output. how can we remove the screen and output to be clean?
Don't know if you still need this, but had to grab mine because the settings are so familiar I couldn't even remember them. On my HM200, which is very similar to the 180: power the camera up, open the LCD and press the Menu button at the topleft of the screen.
Scroll to 'A/V Set' and select it. Select 'Video Set' in the sub-menu and you'll see a range of options, with 'Display on TV' mentioned first (at least it is on mine). This setting needs to be OFF to disable all characters output on a viewfinder or on-board LCD-screen, to NOT be output via HDMI/SDI.

@@robertschultz6922 when you connect your camera to the internet, press the 'status' button to find out what the camera's IP address is. Then on another device connected to the same network, type that IP address in and you will get the webpage that shows overlay control.

I didn't. The key it's too long (about 75ch) and JVC limit that on 63ch. I'll try firmware update

2. The firmware update documentation made by JVC is difficult. I have to press the buttons at the same time, but I don't know where the buttons are.
3. Where are the "[Side ZEBRA/5]" and "[Mode]" buttons?
4. As a beginner, can you please explain where the button is?
5. I think it will be the fastest and most convenient if you explain it with a CZcams video.

Why is JVC so Afraid to enter or consolidate a footprint in the DSLR market? Hope they don't turn out as Kodak and Nokia for failing to see the new direction?
They do... Their GY-LS300 is one of those camera's that tries to bridge the gap between DSLR's/mirrorless cameras and all their drawbacks and camcorders with all their advantages.
How do I stream in 1280x720 on Facebook Live? I followed this video but the camera drops down to 360p...which is HORRIBLE! My cell phone films higher resolutions than that!

This is a lie . Unfortunately it doesn't live stream. If it did you would have seen a short sample of him live streaming it .Have u seen the video being live streamed?
Shit this old camera put a lot of mirrorless DSLR cameras to shame
Uh no, it didn't... This camera does not even come close to the low-light capabilities of most mirrorless and DSLR cameras as the sensor is only 1/2.3" in size. The only advantages are the batterylife, ergonomics, a lens that has a decent amount of optical zoom, motorzoom (and a good one, I've never seen such a small camcorder with so many settings for zoomspeed) and such. But low-light performance and depth of field is nothing compared to the larger-sensor photocameras out there. But as a videocamera, it does the job and I'm (almost) not complaining and it certainly can't compare to the accesoires one would need when wanting to achieve the same with a photocamera.
