Indeed I was blown away, considering the price/airport size ratio and really the first class quality, not to forget, they are actually X-Plane scenery developer with no prior experience in MSFS or P3D. Really good job and I am sure going to buy their WMKK and VTHH once they are released :D
Yes, I love the fact that the best devs from MSFS (pre-2020)/P3D & X-Plane are all coming together to develop scenery for this new sim! It's a good time to be a simmer. :-)
VTHH? Do you mean RPLL?
I too am going to buy these upcoming titles. 😀
I purchased both these addons two days ago as I was eagerly waiting their release. For us aussies Singapore is a major destination both for holidays and stopover to Europe. I agree with your comments, Changi blew me away with the amount of details and accuracy. The east side of the airport is a development area in real life where Terminal 5 will be build so its use is limited but I agree it can do with some additional work. With downtown Singapore I m extremely pleased as well with the level of detail, my only disappointment was with Guaco Tower skyscraper in Tanjong Pagar district, being the tallest skyscraper in Singapore at 290m it appears reduced in size considerably. Apart from that I highly recommend. Will be interesting to see what Orbx come up with. Thank you for another great review.
Bought it once I heard it was released. It was great to see my home airport finally having a beautiful and accurate payware on msfs
That's just beautiful! I was waiting for that one!
Thanks for the good review as always! I've no previous experience of these devs, but the modelling and texturing of the buildings looked like some of the best I've seen! Very impressed, just a bit work on the ground, such taxiways and maybe add bit of interior and this could be one of the best airports for MSFS, especially considering the price.
I wasn’t planning on buying this airport addon, but your review convinced me to get both the airport and cityscape addon.
Good value great looking airport. Very impressive work. Great review as ever FF.
wow! Did not really consider this as a purchase - but this has changed my mind. thanks and good video as always
I spent an overnight at this airport on my way to Nepal, so jumped on this at release, as it was probably the most spectacular airport ive been to, and this scenery definitely lived up to my expectations, might have to look at that downtown addon too ;)
Nice review! It does look like a great addon and for the price an absolut bargain. I might pick this one up and start flying in that part of the world. Always fun to explore new areas :D.
Finally someone took care of the worlds most popular airport among passengers. I was quite disappointed with the standard scenery asobo/microsoft offered because it´s not even close to what the airport looks like. This scenery indeed deserves a lot of credits - even if there´s still something here and there that needs to be fixed, I instantly got this familar feeling during your approach. Well done guys!
i most say this is one of the best APs I have seen
Looks brilliant!
Amazing scenery! Thank you for the review, this is a change from the atrocities that were Milan Malpensa and Faro!
Just a sidenote, I think 02R/20C is actually under construction, and that's why it hasn't been developed in the sim - it hasn't in real life.
Good isn't it! 02R/20C has always been there but it's recently started to be used for civilian traffic whereas it used to be just used by the military. There's still a lot of construction work in the surrounding area though. I'm confident the devs will update the scenery as this progresses.
Wow, for a beta it's pretty darn amazing!
Thanks for sharing the scenery. Just to highlight, the area around Rwy 02R (or RWY3 as some of us might call it) is still under alot of construction, so i think it's a rather fair representation of its current state.
Really great looking scenery! I'd have bought it by now if I flew more frequently in that part of the world
I'm waiting for this on the in-game store.
Your videos are fantastic
Thank you! Glad you like them :-)
A lovely and highly detailed Asia Changi (WSSS) airport by CloudSurf, I have to say the downtown is very nice too. I think the Orbx package has more detail and looks better during the day but aspects of the Orbx downtown at night looks a bit underwhelming so I guess you pays yours monies and makes your choice, however either downtown package looks like it will fit the bill very nicely!
its awesome looks like real
I was going to buy this addon on Orbx store, but then I thought - I will wait for FilbertFlies's review. And then 20 minutes later, here there is. Coincidence? I don’t think so… As always - very good video.
My powers of telepathy are growing by the day! ;-)
great review. Keep it up. the O2 runway on the eastern side used to be changi air force base which is now being developed into new terminal, hence that is WIP
Should include hazard flashing lights and beacons.
Indeed, but I believe it is now open to civilian traffic. The devs have since confirmed they will be working on the Eastern side of the airport.
Cloudsurf-Asia are also developing:
WMKK
Kuala Lumpur City
RPLL
Manilla City
I know! It's an exciting time for Asia!
02R and 20L is actually the runway for Changi Air Force Base and is not for civilian use so I think we can forgive them for not being too detailed on that part of Changi
Well it used to be, but by all accounts it's now used by civilian traffic as well.
East side of Changi Airport is being developed for extension. Changi will have 3 runways and two sections of terminals.
I have a problem with objects popping when i am near and disappear when im far
This airport not working with SU6? can anyone else confirm..? It stucks on loading blue line.
I am curious how the Cloudsurf-Asia City scenery will compare with the Orbx Singapore City Landmarks. Will we have to chose between the two or will they work together?
I also found it very interesting that Orbx then went ahead and partnered with Cloudsurf-Asia via their Orbx Central Distribution.
I'm pretty sure we'll have to choose between the two. It is indeed interesting that Orbx partnered with CloudSurf Asia, but it's also interesting that they're only selling their airport and not their downtown scenery!
As an "advocatus diaboli"... 6:25 - stairs to nowhere (are you sure, Filbert, that you can't complain about anything? ;) ), 13:04 - containers walls skin is copied on all surfaces (but doors skin is OK), 13:30 - containers are higher then ship bridge and empty container ships looks like bulk carriers, which are not owned by Maersk Line or MSC :D
And yes - this is fantastic scenery for super fantastic price :)
OK, I'll give you the stairs to nowhere! But as for the rest... advocati diaboli are only welcome here if they're Club Filbert Silver members ;-)
Changi has no runway 02R / 20L, Changi only has 02C / 20C. 02R / 20L belongs to the airforce base next to it...
That used to be the case, but it's not any more. 02R/20L is now used by civilian aircraft as well. I'm not clear whether this is a permanent or a temporary change, but it's definitely the case at the moment.
you are looking for a less clean airport? So you should fly to another one. Singapur is the tidiest airport I have seen in real life. I would say even the town ist the cleanest in the world. I think the scenery looks like the real airport. PS from where did you arrived when you was landing with an A320 ;-) ?
It may be clean, but it's not THAT clean - it's still an airport that has aircraft tyres rolling over it! ;-) www.google.com/maps/place/Singapore+Changi+Airport/@1.3644235,103.9875539,409m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0x31da17d693d0cde3:0xd6d6dd5e414e4503!8m2!3d1.3644202!4d103.9915308
I arrived from a point in the sky 1000ft or so on the approach to 02L!
is there like the whole singapore map in it?
Not sure quite what you mean. Not every building is hand-modelled but MSFS has all of the roads in the whole world. The buildings that are modelled go on top of this, the remainder are auto-generated.
@@FilbertFlies can u do more flypass video?
Nice share. Can u tell me how to link bridge?
ATC Menu>Ground Services>Tune Ground>Connect Jetway.
@@FilbertFlies thank you
My simulator crashes when loading this addon to fly from.
Oh that sucks. :-(
Same lol
Isolate the airport from the rest of ur addons, it worked for me. I think theres some addon conflict here..
This Terminal design is the perfect used of reflective windows, and not wasting time on interior modelling that simply adds extra load on our sims.
I'd prefer light-touch interior modelling personally. I spend a lot of time parked in front of terminal buildings so I want them to look as real as possible. When done right, this shouldn't have a big impact on performance. I like their planned approach of 'try it and see' though and the existing windows are really pretty good if it doesn't work out.
@@FilbertFlies I agree!
Yallppa..swr
Really good modelling, but looks a little bit dead to me. No Life, no People and no Cars.
