What when there are no team-mates to feel secure with? And when the harmers are so many, destroyed your nervous systemfunction and self-confidence, which were shrunk already beforehand? What to do with realistic fear and when one is not able to get the needed help and has been taken the basics of fysical life?.

Ok..so i just stoped the video(by the way ,I love these conversations) so I can say this about empathy: I think that during our liftime ,we will find ourselves many, many times in the situation of not being able to understand the feelings or the experiences other peoples go through, simply because we are limited by our own space and life experience. The most important thing to do is LISTEN, and make questions about the details that seem far from your understanding..1 . the person will realize that what he(she) is sharing is important to you, 2. by making questions about details will surely get you closer to their experience...yeah...I could go on and on about this...but I hope I was able to explain my thoughts.

I do uncomfortable things all the time. But I never used to talk to strangers... I was very quiet and shy and had a lot of social anxiety but few years back I started talking to strangers and began talking to new people every day which changed my whole reality and outlook on life. So many opportunities opened up... I even got to hang out on movie sets and meet Keanu Reeves! I never knew how much I was missing out on by constantly living in fear! I am still practicing pushing myself to speak up but it gets easier and more fun the more I practice lol 😂🙋‍♀️ I step out of my comfort zone and let go of fear every time I post videos on youtube. Over time I am noticing how the actions that were once uncomfortable and anxiety provoking (like posting on social media ) have become things that have helped shape me into a stronger person and when I try to take a day off from some of these positive new habits and I notice changes in my thinking...

That is always a challenge in life and one I've become better at in my late 30's: Controlling extreme emotional responses is the key to a sane life, not only in your career but in relationships and political views.

The part where he talks about being empathetic: 1. It’s very humbling to see someone respond “I don’t know”. 2. Actors are indeed very empathetic but it also takes a bunch of research to put oneself in another’s shoes. That’s why it’s important to read, study, watch relevant media and constantly seek to learn something new...specially people from different walks of life.

Key takeaways: 1) Ask 'What's the better question?" 2) You are not entitled to anything and 3) What you choose to think among the many thoughts that go through your head, you make happen (Law of Attraction), 4) Always focus on what you can control to keep you taking action 5) Think out of the box (so this is how this relates to real life!). Totally agree with innoculating yourself with what you FEAR (no shame in being afraid, it's human! Key is to FACE IT squarely!). Thank you, these are very transformative lessons!

Such a fantastic interview, Lewis👌💥 Rich Diviney has so much to offer. My biggest takeaways: 1. true leaders are followed by their behaviour, 2. empathy & learning to work on that, 3. Self discipline vs discipline, 4. The Dragon & Princess mission, 5. how having a tempered amount of narcissism can be healthy to achieve success, also, 6. his hardest moments of his 20 year career were every time he said goodbye to his family on deployment and how he & his wife & son had to structure their calls, compartmentalizing, etc in order to cope. I could go on, but those are my top five that I could think of. I’ll probably have to watch it again.😉👌❤️

"If you feel you are completely out of controll of a situation... then start pose and answering the question... 'No matter how small, what aspect can I still controll?' and start controlling that thing... Because when you achieve that small thing it will give you a rush of dopamine, which will boost your confidence and the feeling that the whole situation might be controllable after all"

When Rich Diviney described the true definition of the word "cunning" I finally completely understood what Homer meant when he described Odysseus as a cunning man (or polytropos depending on the translation). The Odyssey is an internal journey of perseverance, leadership, and finding the right path. Rich Diviney seems to have experienced this, to understand it, and to be able to share it with clarity. I especially appreciate his specific examples of managing fear and anxiety and how to move past them. I am grateful for your excellent interviews. Thank you.

I'm the eldest child of a Ranger and a Green Beret colonel. At one point in his career he was commanding officer of a fort related to the school of Americas outside of the United States. Is I have reflected on growing up in that environment with this man as my father I have come to some awarenesses. One is that sometimes the very qualities and or characteristics that would allow one to be extraordinary really successful and this or perhaps any given career are sometimes the same qualities and characteristics that will not allow you to be successful in interpersonal relationships. Having a father that was gone for long periods of times and usually under very dangerous circumstances such as at War, was not good for the rest of the families mental health, growth and development. While he was protecting others we were left unprotected and vulnerable both physically and emotionally. And often times even financially. Please understand that I love my father with my whole heart! And that he is a hero! He has several bronze Stars and three or four rows of medals on his uniform. It has been challenging to say the least to find civilians that have his level of focus, commitment, dedication and integrity.
