Fun fact: did you know super Mario bros 3 would be originally a game with isometric View, but it was scrapped due to it was not possible make that in the nes, and then, the isometric View was used later in Mario rpg.

no they didnt do it because the devs had a hard time finding how far from the ground the were from
i think it was not even isometric, but more of topdown than that

@@emilyy03 it was isometric, a top-down perspective wouldn't really work for platforming games such as mario, but worked for adventure games like zelda or pokemon. not having sufficient technology for isometric views could be a reason why they scrapped it, but mainly because the playtesters couldn't find their distance from the ground

this might actually be better than level up. i have no words for how good this is.
Eh, I would say they have more of different styles of animating.
At level ups best (I’m using the MarioCraft 4 episode which Level Up most likely put a lot of effort in compared to some of his other videos) his animations are more cleaner and more solid, while being easier to animate a fast paced situation.
Duplex Cherries videos seem to clearly be more fluid and bouncy, while also having more personality.
Really depends on what you prefer honestly.

I do remember that Luigi in ennuigi on the Pico-8 it's at game where the mushroom Kingdom is devastated and Luigi has crippling depression
now he has no excuse for not just walking around the goombas

Really nice work with the animation but the mushroom being on another block at the first confused me lol
This was a test animation at first before I made it to a full project, when I got near the end I realised I put the mushroom in the wrong block lol

I love how you made the end level castle just a big fat lie. Not more than a stage prop.
And the heavy use of isometry in the Bowser Bossfight really surprised me as 1-1 was kinda "tame" with it.
