I watched Bill's video yesterday and tried the process out and it's fantastic
So glad to hear it mate!! They're ace 👍
Thanks Luke!! This looks like it's got so much potential given there's a real time preview. Incredible work from Bill and Mike again and so nice they're producing these tools for free !! As a fellow Yorkshire man as always appreciate something for nowt! Going to download the tool right now. Did you know they also did a script for re screening stars and star reduction a few weeks ago ? Anyway mate thanks to all of you for the massive support you give us 👍
Hey Paul! Aye mate "tha can't knock summat for nowt" 😂 agreed!
I've not tried the rescreening ones yet as I just use my little drag/drop tools at the moment! :-D cheers for the reminder!
Wow. Thanks for showing and sharing Luko! You the man.
Thanks so much mate! :-D
This looks pretty cool and I can't wait to try it out! Thanks and Clear Skies!
Hope you enjoy it Dave my friend!! Clear skies :-D
Saw this on Bill's video last night, another great tool for sure!
It sure is! Thanks so much for watching Pete mate 🙏
Thanks for sharing Luke, certainly looks a great tool. Will definitely be integrating into my workflow. 🙏🙏
Hope you enjoy it my friend!! Always a pleasure to hear from you 👍👍
Excellent tools these days glad you got a mention from Bill
Thanks ever so much Tom!! Hope you're keeping well mate 👍👍
Thanks for the heads up, Luke 😊
Any time Barry!! Thank you for your support my friend 👍👍
Thank you soooooooooooo much for this wonderful video. You are a star!!!
You are so welcome! Thank you very much indeed for watching and taking the time to comment! :-D Clear skies!
Hi Luke,
I have recently downloaded this great little package and am quite pleased with it.
On the other hand, I upgraded PI to 1.8.9-2 and that resulted in the loss of the EZ Suite functions and Starnet++. It also lost the CUDA acceleration function (but I was able to restore that by re-adding the proper "tensorflow.dll" file. Other than that, so far so good.
Hey there Pat! - I hear you my friend, it's a shame the Ez-suite is no longer updated 😞
I really need to get CUDA acceleration sorted, still haven't done it once yet!
Hope you've been keeping well mate! Thank you for watching, commenting and for your support!
All the very best,
Luke
This is great - hope to give it a go soon - bright moon tonight, clouds for the rest of the week :( = lots of time for processing!
Have fun Peter!! What better way to spend those cloudy days :-D
Looks like a great tool thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching Tony mate!!
Lovely! Thanks a lot for this video!
So nice of you to say, thanks!!
@@lukomatico Tried it! Superb. Unbelievable flexibility. I have been looking for such tool for long time.
Ah that's just wonderful to hear!! I'm really happy for you, - enjoy!! :-D
I really wanted to play with this tonight but found out that Starmet is not yet available for the new version of Pixinsight. I'll wait a week and then if it's still not available I guess I'll have to pony up to get another one RC Astro's tools. Thanks for the video.
My pleasure mate! Hope things get sorted with starnet for you so you can have a go 👍👍
Hi Luke…Thank you for all your wonderful tutorials.
I have Bill Blanchan’s “Modified SCNR” process ions but I can’t remember in which video that he discussed the procedure…
Would you be able to give me that info…or maybe you have discussed it in one of your videos…
Hey there Jane! If you're referring to the narrowband normalisation process then I've shown that in my recent video titled 'they've done it again! Narrowband normalisation'
Hope that helps and I'm sorry if I've misunderstood!
This is a game changer!!!! thanks mate
Happy to help! Thanks mate!
@@lukomatico Had a play with the Dolphin head nebula I used HOO blend 2 mode and the OIII lightness and it shone so the O3 will work well with the blend 2 and objects rich in O3
Superb! Good to know that mate :-) thanks for sharing!
Neat tool! Thanks.
But for a bit of a laugh, the CZcams auto-generated captioning for this video starts out reading: "Ellen guys how's it going Oprah keeping really well."
I guess CZcams doesn't yet have the UK accent down.
Thanks for watching mate!! And those auto subtitles sound like a great laugh hahaha, I might have to watch it with them on for a giggle at myself 😂
Clear skies!
Hi Luke. Thanks for bringing awareness to these scripts.
I've just watched your OSC processing tutorial and then these Narrowband Normalisation videos. If I wanted to use the NN tools to process my OSC image, where would a GHS stretch fit in to this workflow?
Thank you ever so much for watching!!
Re: fitting in GHS, I have a video where I demonstrate this in action right here - skip to the 'processing' segment and after bxt/nxt it will cover it's use - czcams.com/video/LZQ8ljynB1M/video.htmlsi=Mrk04v8KIxVyhNc_
Hope that's useful to you!
Clear skies! :-)
Awesome Luke! Been too busy at work to upgrade to the latest version of PI. Probably a good thing though, as I probably missed some of the bugs in the initial release. Is there a new Starnet version out yet? Thanks so much to Bill and Mike for their great tools and to you Luke for your easy to follow tutorials. Dr B from Manitoba, Canada 🇨🇦 cheers mate
Hey Dr. B! Hope you're doing well my friend!
I'm afraid I'm out of the loop as far as Starnet is concerned these days, I'd be fairly shocked if it hadn't been updated by now though! :-)
Thank you as always for your encouraging words!
Clear skies :-)
@@lukomatico Yep. StarNet was updated! Updated my PI last night. Clear skies buddy.
Thanks Luke!
Thank you for watching!! :-D
Looks like a great tool.
I think so too! Thanks for watching 👍👍
Hi Luke! is possible to use this tool with a simple color image ? (taken without a narrowband filter)
Hey mate! It may be possible, but you might not get a usable result!
There's no harm in trying though and seeing what happens! :-) good luck!
I added the repository but cannot find Narrowband Normalization anywhere in Pixinsight.
Very useful
Thanks a lot mate!!
This is Amazing !! one click you have HOO 😍
Awesome isn't it! :-D
@@lukomatico my images are next level now !!!
So glad to hear it mate!!!
awesome!
Thank you! Cheers!
Anyone else having problems instlling the tool in pixinsight? The software does not find the resource when i check for updates?
you have to be on the new updated PI
@@tarunpulikantiwhich you won’t want to do yet until bugs are worked out and other scripts such as Starnet updated.
Please make sure you are running Pixinsight version 1.8.9-2 or higher
Updating Pixinsight to the newest version did the trick! Thanks guys!
Glad to hear it's sorted and sorry about to late reply!
Thanks for helping guys! ❤️
does it work only in 1.8.9.2 (1) ? I can't manage to make it to appear in the previous versions ...it's me?
Hey mate, it may not actually be live quite yet but should hopefully be today I understand - I had access to a pre-release version! :-)
Thanks you
Thank you too! :-D
Where to find Script "Narrowband Normalization Tools" !? Thank you
In process - colour calibration IIRC (can't check, typing on mobile haha)
Good luck!
Added the repository in 1.8.9.-1 but doesn't pick up the update.
It might need the new build? I’m not ready to install that yet as I’m waiting for others scripts to be updated and perhaps more bug fixes. I’d honestly give it a few more weeks. They just released a largish bug correction release.
@@lwizzit That makes sense. I tried 1.8.9-2 but had to roll back to my previous installation as I encountered issues with WBPP when drizzling data. Like you, I will come back later when things have matured.
It's the latest build only I'm afraid, sorry about that!!
@@lukomatico no worries, PI have fixed the issues I were having so it’s all working now. Thanks for doing this video!
This process only loads with Pixinsight 1.8.9-2, which I am not running since it kills the EZ Processing Suite, and I depend on EZ Soft Stretch :-(
Nevermind, I bit the bullet and upgraded to 1.8.9-2. Time to figure out GHS
Good on you mate! GHS is certainly worth the time to learn, it's very powerful!
Exactly what I needed to know. I have been banging my head against the wall trying to figure out why it wouldn't load. Thank you sir.
@@lukomatico GHS certainly is powerful. But, like everything Pixinsight, why must it be so complicated?
I hear you mate, it's definitely not as straightforward as ez soft stretch but with a little practice it's capable of much better results at least 🙏
I'm curious about how to make masks by color.
The colour mask tools are available in my newer videos my friend! :-)
Hi the Link ist not working (astrocurves)
I'll check where I've gone wrong mate, but the URL itself worked fine for me last night?
ive got to get pixs
It's a major part of the astro toolkit these days for sure! :-) I certainly don't ever wanna go back to not having it haha!
But the new PI update is buggy and laggy so I can't switch to the new version until it's fixed.
They released another update yesterday to fix all the bugs and this time everything works perfectly
oh nice. just tested it and it works now.@@paulholdsworth2502
Thanks for the update mate!! Good to know 👍👍
Hello 👋
What's up mate! :-)
@@lukomatico Im good! Thanks for asking!
The link may be broken.
Hey mate! The 404 error is normal, it's just the URL that you need from the address bar 👍
Cheers!
@@lukomaticoto be fair, you did explain this in the video :)
