I love that so many of your pieces are on leather straps. These days it seems so many people default to steel bands. Don’t get me wrong, steel is great and robust. But there is something so ‘gentlemanly’ about a watch on leather.

Unlike most youtuber's SOTC, yours is actually fairly interesting. Most youtubers have the most boring collections, they try to pitch as interesting, but they all have the same Rolex, omega speedmaster, seiko divers blah blah blah that is dull to see.
The one gripe I do have is when you mentioned whether a watch (omega admiralty) is "worthy" of being in the collection. There is no such thing. You either like it or not, watches are things, pieces of metal, leather and ceramic not some kind of elitist club. My watch collection has watches that go from $9 to $7000 and they all "deserve" to be there.

I have similar taste, mostly vintage (40s, 50s, 60s, Grand Seiko, Rolex Royal Precision, IWC Calatrava, British Timex Marlin etc.) with a smattering of modern (Nivada Grenchen Super Antarctic, Tissot Heritage chronograph, Citizen Promaster Diver-used by the way Navy+10 years, etc.), so even the modern watches are throwbacks to yesteryear. My sweet spot is 33 - 38 mm.

Thanks! I've accumulated them from all over.. Several of the similar ostrich straps were eBay finds a while back. Any one in particular?

    great stuff, love your vids.
May I make a suggestion that if you are showing your watches, the colour accuracy is very important. So when your editing has lots of blue tints to the whites and shadows, it makes it very hard to see/enjoy the patina and what your actual watches look like.
    Cheers!

Agree 100% - we shouldn't have used the usual color grading on a video like this. Next time will shoot for accuracy. Thanks!

Well, don’t start with ebay/unknowns. Buy something from a trusted seller on a forum, or reputable vintage store online. I’m actually selling a few of the vintage Omegas. Made a big acquisition since this collection video (see recent unboxing video lol)

Too late to comment but I think the Omega Admiral should be a keeper, it is one of the interesting ones in the sea of boring vintage Seamaster dress pieces, and thank you for the wrist shots of all the watches :) Oh, and I also loved the rounded-off edges on the coffee table, which makes it so much practical and easy as I often bump into one of the hard edges of my furniture.

@@MattLoberstein well what do you think? you recommend get the GS or saving for a datejust? I think both are beautiful I personally like how the GS heritage looks more than the datejust but then again I haven't had much time interacting with either in person

Modern DJ or vintage? I’d never buy any modern DJ, so GS for sure if modern. If vintage rolex vs modern GS, it’s more of a preference debate than a quality debate
