- The text of The Soldier's Song (Amhrán na bhFiann), consisting of three stanzas and a chorus, was written in 1907 by Peadar Kearney, who together with Patrick Heeney also composed the music. It was first published in the newspaper, Irish Freedom in 1912. The chorus was formally adopted as the National Anthem in 1926, displacing the earlier Fenian anthem, God Save Ireland. A section of the National Anthem (consisting of the first four bars followed by the last five) is also the Presidential Salute.

+PARK JC (앞으로나아갈때) As poetic as that statement is, I'll have to disagree - While the Koreas are unnecessarily separated by communism and capitalism, Northern Ireland is religiously and culturally different from the Republic of Ireland in most ways. - The Republic is mostly catholic and has clearly managed well on its own, the North has for long been associated with Britain and its Protestantism, and the people of northern Ireland have not yet voted in favor of reunification - which is different from North Korea's situation, because Northern Ireland votes democratically rather than being swayed by a tyrant.
I'd say that the Republic of Ireland is an independent, developed state, while Northern Ireland is a fake state in a compromise land where two opponent factions live and hate each other..
