    The onewheel pint is $950 and 100% worth the money. It has the speed and off road capabilities as a bike, and the portability and maneuverability as a longboard.

      I'm the same with certain things. Computers, Monitors, tv's, and definitely a onewheel. These things are too complicated, intricate, and have so many parts soldered and fused together that they can only be fixed by replacement of major and significant components. Too hard to know if there is anything wrong with them either. To me it's worth the extra 100-300 savings to have it last that longer, and be that much safer in the case of the onewheel.

    I want to add that I've pushed mine to 0% while riding MANY times, and I have never experienced any issues with it below 20%. It is quite significant on a board with an advertised range of 6-8 miles if you have to charge it after riding 80%. This has NEVER been the case for me, just want to mention that.

    I’ve managed to grab a OW+ before they stopped making it (as it was the cheaper alternative compared to the OW+XR) and although it was pricey for what it was, it was such en experience to ride it (considering I’ve never ridden any kind of board)
    I’ll definitely look into getting a pint just because how superior it is compared to the +.

  • @doublet147

    Simple stop is for those unfamiliar with other board sports. If you're familiar, you'll probably want it off.
    Plasti-dip for the handle & side rails (you could use it anywhere also) works great! It comes in a spray can version. You just mask off and spray (multiple layers) to create a plastic protection. It looks professional & is more durable than tape. Plus it's easy to remove if needed. It's one of my favorite aftermarket uses.

  • @cecilmicko6828
    @cecilmicko6828 Před 3 lety +1

    I didn't know that you could turn simple stop off in the app. Now the point is actually looking more appealing. Not more appealing than the XR but I would definitely not regret my purchase. This is really cool to know. now it seems like they should add that simple step to the XR app also.

  • @real_ez8412
    @real_ez8412 Před 3 lety +1

    The reason theres so many used pints for sale :
    1. They are a cheaper ( not bad quality) entry point to see if you like one wheeling.
    2. some people don't like it and sell it off
    3. many people realize they want more and go for the XR
    #3 is my issue right now. I have 400 miles on my pint the thing is a blast to ride but the range kills the board in the long run unless your only riding close to home or commuting to school or job that's nearby. for these its great. But if your like me and a lot of others you may find yourself fall in love so much with the hobby that you want to go on trails and on bike paths and go for longer rides and see the world more. If this is you then you want an XR or you will end up modding your Pint for double the range which itself is about 400-500$ upgrade to the pint. so at that point you ask do you get the big brother or do you stick with the pint. For me right now Im not sure but I feel like I will get the XR simply for how much you can customize them and for the more solid ride they do have. ( less Carvy/ Nimble more firm feeling more stable feeling riding. ( I tried one) A lot of people once they go XR they always say they don't go back to the pint.

      @MrDmadness Před 3 lety +1

      It's not ever getting added to xr, you are afar better off just getting experience and being a better rider, so is garbage and limits what you can actually do on the board.. good formtotal rookies though. Respectfully intended

      @AnymMusic Před 3 lety +1

      @@yellowjacketlandscapingllc9472 You’ve probably bought one already, but if not, i would say it mostly depends on how you use it, and your budget.
      The XR has a bigger flatter wheel, which makes it a bit better off road, but worse for carving and general mobility. The XR is a bit faster, but not by much. And none of the Onewheels are particularly fast, so its not a big deal. I would say the main difference between the two, and really the only reason to spend the extra money is the range. The pint gets about 9 miles, which is pretty decent, but the XR gets double that. So, you’re basically paying double the money for double the range. Personally, i love the Onewheel so much, I actually think the XR is totally worth it, but i didnt really want to spend the extra money, so i settled for a Pint. Both are great.

    Really interesting in picking one of these up but I worry about the weight limits and range. I'm 6ft tall and weigh about 263 so probably 267 with full gear. I'm not really out of shape, I have a little bit of fat but most of my extra weight is just muscle and body type. So I'd still say I have a somewhat athletic football player type of build.
    I know the XR can go up to 275 but I'm a little nervous that I'm still not going to be getting the right kind of range and also being more prone to injury if I fell.

      @@stu7900 I meant to type 20 the moment I hit 21mph it shits itself and nose dives.(not fun don’t do it lol) it does give you pushback at around 13-15 but if you push past it and keep adding more pressure anyways it will go to 20. Or at least mine does. Also upon further inspection from riding longer. If I ride at 18mph it only gives me about 8 miles of range but if I cruise at 8-10 I get like an extra 5 miles out of it.

      People buy them, decide they can’t ride them or get intimidated by them or get hurt. After that they sell. I have an XR that I bought new with 1500 miles on it so far and I think it’s worth every penny.

    A 16mph nosedive broke a collar bone? I've slipped out from speedwobbles at near double that on my traditional hill skateboard and got some annoying road rash. I'm probably way more experienced at skateboarding and bombing hills than Casey Neistat though. You know once you add an engine to a skateboard you instantly make what would be a minor fall on a regular skateboard into something possibly way more catastrophic. This is a lesson I learned the hard way when I started messing around with motocross after an entire childhood of board sports. Once you add an engine to the equation the injury potential and severity increases by way more than you would think. It took a broken arm for me to realize I had to revise the amount of caution I was used to using on a skateboard or surfboard. Lessen the amount of techniques i was attempting that were right at the edge of my skill level.

    • @ErnestRamos
      @ErnestRamos Před 3 lety +3

      I think it's the angle the board throws you down to. When you fall from a skateboard you can either slide with the board or roll out of the fall because the board is likely travelling parallel to the road. When a Onewheel nosedives, it's literally that, a nose dive. It's like getting thrown off a ramp at speed. It increases the chance of you landing on your shoulder/face.

    • @jamesc6137
      @jamesc6137 Před 3 lety

      ITS NOT included in the original price. Its a safety feature that should be included…like on a car, motorcycle, Atv, etc. You get a fender on a motorcycle without having to pay extra for it.

    • @headedwest89
      @headedwest89 Před 3 lety +1

      @@jamesc6137 there is no reason for the fender to be included. You won’t get snagged in the wheel and if you were it’s going to shut the machine off. Some motorcycles don’t have ABS systems that are one of the most important features you can get on one. Is it a flaw to not have it? No, because it isn’t required to make the bike usable.

    BUY THE RAIL GUARDS!!! This guy doesn’t know what he’s talking about. The rail guards are $20 and don’t get damaged. l’ve put over 600 miles on my Pint and they are still in great conditions. Using duck tape is a great way to insure your rails get scratched/dinged up. You spend $100 on fangs, but decides to use a $5 roll of duck tape because the rail guards are $20 and never need to be replaced.
    This guy didn’t even cover the different riding style options. This guy is full of crap. OneWheel isn’t a Tesla. you can buy them brand new and have it next day aired all in the same 48 hours. Or if you’re in the San Francisco area you buy them at any Mike’s Bike’s 🙄
