I really liked how all the members of the choir were walking around each other high fiving, fist-bumping, hugging and just generally showing a display of unity and peace, at least that was my interpretation.
The choir members truly are magnificent. They sing beautifully. I completely agree with you.

Yes, Kingsman brought me here, but... Simply because this song reminds me of my childhood and when music actually made sense (and actually listened to the original on the radio).. endless covers, choirs and solo's.. this beats them all! Congrats kids, you "brought me home"! 👍🏻👌🏻👏🏻

Just one big nostalgia trip
I recently stumbled across the original version of the song and couldn't stop listening to it. I was surprised that I hadn't heard the song yet - with it being 40+ years old - and was excited to see what cover versions were out there. There are some good ones, but I was disappointed there weren't more choral versions - this song is ALL about the harmonies!
This version is exactly what I had in mind. Such great vocals AND a killer backup band! Great job, everyone! I'm not gonna lie, I want to sing with you guys.

How recent?
i did this song in middle school for a Choir concert, at the time i was a Alto with a high pitched voice so i didnt really have a chance to do this song, but my Choir teacher gave me a chance, that day she found out along with the other guys that were doing it, i can indeed hit the low notes, so i was put into tenor. my teacher recorded it and showed it at the end of the school year and god damn it was beautiful, shame i barely remember it. but there is a sliver of it still there. i am not great fan of modern country, but i will gladly give Country Roads a solid pass.

This version remind me when I was choir boy in RU chorus. There was 4 part of men chorus first tenor, secound tenor, baritone, bass. I had sung this song in baritone part. I am very happy to hear this song again. I sing along.
