Not sure what the law is today in Nevada but I know back in the '80's there was a news story about police shooting a guy. The article said it was legal in Nevada to shoot someone (even in the back)if they were fleeing a felony.
Thanks once again for an informative video. I am moving to Vegas in the near future. It's good to know that gun laws are reasonable. When I was reading up on this issue a short while ago, I thought that Las Vegas Metro needs one to register sidearms if you happen to reside on Metro turf, as opposed to Clark County. Did I hear you right when you mentioned that "open carry" is allowed but you must wait for a CC Permit? Meaning that I would be allowed to open carry as soon as I establish residence? The reason I ask is that in my line of work, I do carry cash. I will relisten to your video and will review Nevada laws. Here in Fl, it is the other way around, no "open carry" but CC Permits are ok to those who pass checks, are responsible and pay. Great Idea on your mentioning of possible videos going more into detail between sidearms, rifles and the like. My beloved state of Virginia is so far a gun friendly state, but too many transplants from california and other liberal states are slowly turning this state into a shithole with their loopy liberal policies, and I'm afraid the traditional gun friendly policies might change in just a matter of time
It is not illegal to carry a handgun concealed in any casino if you have a valid CCW. Being private property however, the property owner have the right to prohibit anything including carrying a concealed firearm. If the casino finds out you are concealing a firearm, they will ask you to leave the premises and don't come back with the said firearm. Comply and all is fine. If you don't comply you will be cited for trespassing and possibly be banned from the casinos..
Not exactly true, there is no law preventing you from going into a casino with one. Now you most likely will be asked to leave/disarm THEN if you don’t the charge would be trespassing, but not for the gun itself. There is nothing illegal with walking in with the gun on you, only if you refuse to leave if asked.
Casino's have heavy lawsuits. It's a business and these corps. don't need anyone else's guns brought into their properties. They have it under control.
Jacob I know this is not on the subject of guns but how soon can you do a video on Weekly's I'm planning a move there the end of the month and want to know the safest and cleanest hotel weekly's to say
I have just a bit more than one year before I can retire and move OUT of California to Nevada. After dealing with California's Anti-Gun Liberal Crap, Nevada is going to be wonderful!!!
As much as I like the gun laws here in Nevada,Arizona is the best state to live in for gun owners because why would you get a CCW in AZ when it's unrestricted especially if you're a responsible law abiding citizen exercising your 2nd Amendment rights especially when you pass the NICS background check proving you're not a convicted felon or have mental problems.I believe all responsible citizens need to be armed in case of a SHTF situation to protect your family and yourself because gotta remember criminals don't give a shit about gun laws and they'll get their weapons illegally to do no good while we get ours legally thru a gun store.
Marijuana is illegal Federally. You get disqualified by answering "yes" to the question of "are you a user of illegal substances" on the background check form which is a Federal form (FBI and/or NICS).
x yz but would the state check ? In Nevada the medical cards are issued by the Department of Transportation. I’m pretty sure the FBI has access to to list legally.
I wish you didn't give us your number so I can talk to you because I need to know more information survey cuz I carry firearms as well I just need to know the laws
@Shady Jeff And the people with an intent to kill are obviously going to kill the open carrier first... before the open carrier even knows what happening.
@Shady Jeff -- That's why we carry guns big boy, so that we are not an unarmed victim. We have an opportunity to protect ourselves and others from nutjobs. That's all anybody who carries a gun wants...just a chance to fight back.

Thank you thank you for doing this video. I really wondered the current state of 2A in NV. I still worry about all the Kalifornia economic refugees moving into NV and basically voting to recreate the Marxism that they left, including gun control.
Jacob not being honest about the 2016 Nevada background check law situation. the ppl of Nevada voted for background checks on private sales..but Nevada officials have thrown democracy out the window unjustly refusing to apply the law declaring it "unenforceable" because of a particular agreement nevada has with the feds in terms of the process behind the actual background check ... the rationale is specious and not on the level. .. a dozen other states have the same situation as Nevada and have been able to make adjustments. this excuse that a basic background check on private sales is just so complicated it cant be done is insulting to the intelligence of the voters and the ppl of Nevada
IIRC, there's an issue with the FBI and NICS. It could be a funding issue. I'm a Californian and everything goes through background checks here, including NICS. But we also pay a fee for each DROS (each time you fill out an ATF 4473 which can be multiple firearms.)

the funny thing is that these Concealed Carry people, they can shoot at targets and pretend to be skilled and ready.. but in a situation that requires action, most will fail or just get shot with their own weapon.
You do realize that he bought some guns in CA, which has one of the most strictest set of laws on the books, so what law would of blocked him again? Clean record, no mental health issues reported.
SnowOxx the vast majority of the guns he bought were in Nevada particularly the high powered assult rifles. If these weapons and the extended magazines weren't for sale he never would have had them. If he would have been limited to a revolver or bolt action rifle how many people would have be hurt? I argue far less
Ok, you clearly don't understand guns. They were not high powered, most were .223. If you read about the history of the round, it was originally built for varmint, like Coyotes, rabbits, and small game, deer, elk, etc. The military took it because it was far less weight than .308 or .30-06. The magazine capacity had nothing to do with it, the dude brought a stupid amount of guns. Bolt actions are more accurate most of the time than a semi auto. So if he had 20-30 of them, already loaded, he could of done the same or worse. The TX school shooter used a pump shotgun and revolver, and still killed 10. Virginia tech used 2 handguns and got 30ish people. So again, what law would of done anything? Laws do nothing about the core issue why these psychos do what they do. Is it because they are pure crazy, sociopaths, some gripe with the world? You also need to look at some other facts. Rifles used in any kind of murder/deaths is used in 1% of all shootings (murder, mass, suicide, etc) Handguns do 99% or close to it. (Check out FBI crime stats). These types of things happen in Chicago, which used to have outright bans on ownership, yet it still happens. Because it doesn't go after the core issue of mostly poverty/broken homes there. Banning guns is a band aid on a broken arm.
the gun violence epidemic in the us has far more to do with the easy availability and proliferation of firearms then it does poverty, mental health , those issues are not unique to the us. they exist in japan, australia, china , the UK , france , germany. what doesn't exist in those nations is the level of gun availability and gun violence seen in the us. that is unique to the us. the us has the worlds highest rate of civilian gun ownership and those high ownership levels translate into one of the highest rates of firearm homicides in the world. much of the pro gun push is centered around protection and freedom but there is little evidence to suggest guns keep even their owners safe as firearms are the countrys leading method of suicide and the rate is higher then almost anywhere else in the world. banning not all but most types of guns has worked in many other advanced nations there is no reason it wouldn't in the us if it was done at the federal level. local bans like the one you mentioned in Chicago don't work well because gun laws stop at state and county lines while the guns don't. out of state , out county straw purchases from outside Chicago is why it has the problem it does . while a place like New York city is in a state and surrounded by other states that have strong laws, dosent have the gun violence chicago , new Orleans or st louis have
Unlicensed open carry! No insane magazine restrictions or rifle bans. God bless America and our constitution!!!

@@RadCatFood wher you been asked to leave out of curiosity? I have yet to be asked to leave any business surprisingly. Had another customer (snowflake) follow me and my wife around Walmart calling Henderson police, they along with the manager of Walmart could not have cared less and PD never even showed.
You have been a fantastic source of local intel on the Wonderful World of Vegas and surrounding environs. BF.
No permit for open carry in Nevada even for tourists.
Thank you, sir.
I love Nevada and it's friendly to responsible gun owners. Only complain is the migration of California refugees creating more traffic. Our traffic isn't Cali traffic so relax.
120 Days??!? But I’m angry now!!
But its a yes from me on the Gun videos. Would love to compare our laws here in MA to your in NV.
Going to Vegas in 2 weeks. Does anyone know if I can carry a small backpack with drinking water in casinos and other places?
Damn, LV moved up a few more notches on my retirement list! Yet your state keeps electing clowns like Harry Reid (yes I know he is retired). Great video! Thanks for the info!
Coming from NC after being in the Army. I don’t wanna move back to CALI but my wife and I wanna be closer to family since they are all in California. Would Nevada be a good choice gun/ job wise?
Much better than California
I wish I could move....like NOW!!!! lol
No license or permit needed to open or conceal carry in Idaho .
Except you can only conceal without a permit when you're outside city limits
My beloved state of Virginia is so far a gun friendly state, but too many transplants from california and other liberal states are slowly turning this state into a shithole with their loopy liberal policies, and I'm afraid the traditional gun friendly policies might change in just a matter of time
Can you cary a concealed gun into a casino?
No
A list of talkers who havent seen death by bullet. And, No casinos won't let you carry gun onto their property. Me done.
If posted no, it is prohibited but not illegal per NV state law (Revised Statutes or "gaming" codes) .
What is the car culture like?
I will say it again. You can not have a gun on you legally when in casino. Period. Private property. Not a chance.
They have gun shows inside casino convention centers.. you walk through the casino to go to them..check your self
@@colleen9369 Not sure what that has to do with you saying it was illegal to carry into a casino which is incorrect.
How about rifles in cars? I'm in Indiana and we have no laws on rifles.
Jacob
I know this is not on the subject of guns but how soon can you do a video on Weekly's I'm planning a move there the end of the month and want to know the safest and cleanest hotel weekly's to say
I have just a bit more than one year before I can retire and move OUT of California to Nevada. After dealing with California's Anti-Gun Liberal Crap, Nevada is going to be wonderful!!!
So you don't need ccw to open carry? We are pretty serious about our right to defend themselves here.
Can people visiting Las Vegas from another state open carry? Or does open carry only apply to Las Vegas residents only?
Visitors and residents can both open carry
@@JacobslifeinVegas Thank you. My family and I are thinking about moving to Vegas. Great video BTW...very informative and detailed.
I'm sure with Democrats like Sisolak n Jackie Rosen, Nevada is headed in a California direction with guns.
Do Las Vegas need a CCW to buy a hand gun?
No
*wheres the c l o w n*
If you have a medical marijuana card you are disqualified from getting a concealed carry permit.
TheQueenSpider yes unfortunately.
I'm coming from ca i have a gun ls two guns looking to get my ccw fast
I wish you didn't give us your number so I can talk to you because I need to know more information survey cuz I carry firearms as well I just need to know the laws
how many machine gun do you have Jacob Bor?
Do you need to take a class to get a ccw in nevada? In Washington, you just apply and get it if you pass the background.
@Shady Jeff you obviously did not read my question! I am asking about ccw permit. I don't want to open carry. People who open carry are dorks.
@Shady Jeff concealed carry is not dangerous! I have been doing it for 20+ years every day of my life and half of my friends do also...lol, dangerous?
@Shady Jeff And the people with an intent to kill are obviously going to kill the open carrier first... before the open carrier even knows what happening.
@Shady Jeff -- That's why we carry guns big boy, so that we are not an unarmed victim. We have an opportunity to protect ourselves and others from nutjobs. That's all anybody who carries a gun wants...just a chance to fight back.
@Shady Jeff Thanks for the heads up. 👍🏼
IS your home built by Richmond American?
Just don't bring your weapons to Canada.
Yeah i moved from Illinois way better here for one no open carry there and two chicago had there own extra anti gun laws of there own. Cool thing second day i was here i went got a new ID and went a got a new gun merica
Thank you thank you for doing this video. I really wondered the current state of 2A in NV. I still worry about all the Kalifornia economic refugees moving into NV and basically voting to recreate the Marxism that they left, including gun control.
We can expect more gun laws now that our State has turned blue across the board.
Out of eleven counties, only two counties are blue. The rest of the counties are red and very pro-gun.
Nevada doesnt allow AP rounds. Dumb
I would rather fight lol
How is the healthcare in Las Vegas? I’ve been seriously considering moving to Nevada from Canada but I’m not sure how the healthcare works in the states.
J T depending what work field you’re in a lot of jobs do not offer good health care. That’s the one thing I hate about this state, our healthcare is garbage.
Croxannn thanks for the info! I was looking to apply for a conductor with Union Pacific. I currently work for the railroad in Canada so I wanted to do something I know.
Just look into the company most construction jobs offer insurance it just may not be the best
the funny thing is that these Concealed Carry people, they can shoot at targets and pretend to be skilled and ready.. but in a situation that requires action, most will fail or just get shot with their own weapon.
Look up "Psychological Projection" as it might apply to Sterling Marshel.
apparently Mandalay Bay hasn't taught some ppl anything.. how many more body bags is it going to take?
Banning guns is a band aid on a broken arm.
the gun violence epidemic in the us has far more to do with the easy availability and proliferation of firearms then it does poverty, mental health , those issues are not unique to the us. they exist in japan, australia, china , the UK , france , germany. what doesn't exist in those nations is the level of gun availability and gun violence seen in the us. that is unique to the us. the us has the worlds highest rate of civilian gun ownership and those high ownership levels translate into one of the highest rates of firearm homicides in the world. much of the pro gun push is centered around protection and freedom but there is little evidence to suggest guns keep even their owners safe as firearms are the countrys leading method of suicide and the rate is higher then almost anywhere else in the world. banning not all but most types of guns has worked in many other advanced nations there is no reason it wouldn't in the us if it was done at the federal level. local bans like the one you mentioned in Chicago don't work well because gun laws stop at state and county lines while the guns don't. out of state , out county straw purchases from outside Chicago is why it has the problem it does . while a place like New York city is in a state and surrounded by other states that have strong laws, dosent have the gun violence chicago , new Orleans or st louis have
you can tell by his language he is a right winger
And what's wrong with that?
Just stay in Calif, you’ll be fine.
He sounds like an informed individual and believes in self protection.
