DeWalt DCF961: amzn.to/3NsKfjL 3/4" Anvil: amzn.to/3v1Whu0
The Humdinger: www.temu.com/1pc-1300-n-m18v-...
How good is the new Metabo SSW 18 LTX 1750 BL? Can it beat a DeWALT DCF961 with an anvil swapped to 3/4" to match the upcoming DCF964? We find out today by buying it as well as two no name hopefuls from Temu and Amazon to see what the 3/4" scene looks like these days.
As always, the creator of this channel works in product development for Astro Tools, who also make 3/4' impacts (air), always consider multiple sources when looking at a tool! - Auta a dopravní prostředky
The Harbor Freight Hercules 3/4" looks to have come out around a day ago. Our store doesn't have one yet, but we'll have to pick one up to compare! In general these episodes usually take around 2 weeks or more to make - so anything that comes out a couple days before will have a hard time making the cut. Suggest others to compare!
Hey, it's me. Air ratchet guy. Jonnesway makes a knuckle buster.
Why is CZcams comments on Mobile absolutely dog shit?
It would be cool to see how the Ingersoll Rand W7172-K22 $427.99 tool only, snap-on CT9100DB 627.95 tool only
But something i think it would be interesting to see what the $80 home depot XtremepowerUS Model#: 18855-H1 could actually do! Claiming Output torque: 5800 NM and Approx. 4275 ft./lbs.
I think i know the answer to this but, Is there any way this could be connected to an impact?
Would love to see a comparison of all the new gen Hercules impacts to see if they’ve improved on anything
Also, the gen 1 ultra torque Hercules can be had for $130 right now with a 20% coupon on top of its clearance price.
DeWalt on DeWalt action, by making Chainsaw Massacre ][ by strapping a DCF-961 to it, in place of that Milwaukee? 😊
And, perhaps try and machine a small metal enclosure for the whole thing (instead of using the drill body)?
Something that looks similar to the drill impact-attachment that you tested awhile back...
The reason Dewalt hasn't come out with theirs is because they're still working on how to make it as angry with life as the 1/2" model.
theyll slap a bigger motor on it so it can stomp 1'' impacts.
or make a whacky flexvolt impact
I'd like to see some durability tests, who's insides are ground to dust with repeated use .
I would offer my Makita 40V 3/4 but even after about 2 years, hundreds of tires and whatever else doesn't want to move for anything else it still works great.
Perhaps if the 1 inch comes out and is really good then I might consider it for science.
@@shangri-la-la-la they have already tested the makita 40v 3/4 inch. Towards the end of the video, they mention it briefly.
@@Asmith-1111 I am talking for a durability test. To see how they hold up after being used on a frequent basis.
I couldn't be more proud to be a DeWALT fanboy than right now. 💛
I’m a Makita guy, but definitely gotta take my hat off to DeWalt and their mad scientist engineers. 🎩
At this rate, everyone will need 3/4" sockets!
@@davidrmcmahon I'm a diesel tech and I hardly use them lol. They have their place but 1/2" guns are ripping lug nuts off of them now even. And I'm here for it goodbye 1" bitch lol.
@@davidrmcmahongotta bury my bunch of 1/2" socket then 😅
That special sauce DeWalt is using is something else!
secret ingredient is meth :D
I'm glad Nathan sent it over! I had to tell you right away when I seen it because it was awesome that someone swapped it over so quick... Great tests as always!!!
Is there a build video or post about it somewhere?
I'm trying to do the same but wondering if he installed a steel sleeve into the nose cone after enlarging it to fit the 3/4 anvil?
@@jdogdiesel7242 nope he just enlarged the whole big enough to fit
This was a DCF897 anvil in a DCF961 hammer assembly correct? If so, the anvil sweep is not the same. The lobes are a different size between the DCF897 anvil and the DCF900 anvil. I’m curious to see what the hammer and anvil fitment looks like after your testing.
Can I send you my Snap-on, 3/4" drive impact?
Just be warned, you may have your ft/lbs feeling hurt.
dewalts loves embarring the S/O!
May prove interesting 🤔
I have an ingersoll rand 1/2" big torque impact that tries to break my hand. In reverse the numbers claimed should beat most of these tools. It's weird they've never been tested.
@@saturnmedia1 and his cost per ft lbs also
I love the mad science that happens on this channel!!! Don’t stop doing it 🥳
Id love to see the 3/4" pnuematics on the dyno. I know u cant garauntee 90psi under load but if u cant...we cant either so it would still be good content.
We're working on a new air system in spring
@@TorqueTestChannel Please do a build episode on it.
Would love to see under a 90psi load and also run a proper set up to see the difference.
HF just released the 3/4" "Ultra torque". Would be interested to see where that stacks up. Assuming it's just the 1/2 with a 3/4 Anvil.
Looks like our stores dont have any yet, but we'll have to pick one up!
And it's ONLY $200 in stock store by me but want to get it in INDIANA save on TAXE$ hopefully they did more then just 3/4 ANVIL
@THEBEARDEDTOOLGUY oh its def just an anvil. But that's normal
I would love to see the air version of this snap on Matco Mac ext and a one inch version aswell
Something I'd like to see you test are metal shears. It would be quite informative and also pretty cool to see you test the different brands to the point of failure.
A carbide insert in a boring bar could make short work of it and for most who don't have a home machine shop a visit to your local shop (on a Friday and offer to bring frostly libation) might get the bushing mod done cheap, quick and accurately. Bring anvil and housing so they can mic the anvil shaft. BTW for large batteries to ship freely in Europe one option for manufacturers (and creative hobbyists with 3D printers) could be to make one style of battery with a duplicate battery well in the bottom so as to stack batteries. How insane one chose to be with stacked parallel batteries is up to the user. Another could be a dual battery adapter mounting them side by side vertically. Awkward but for some jobs it could avoid mechanic suffering.
I'm no machinist, would you shave my lobes?
czcams.com/video/IBy2AskibXY/video.htmlsi=OAjiapn-k9HOTbx0
That's a really neat idea
That DeWalt is a beast. Wow.
Nice video as always guys.
Man 1500Nm with a hand held impact, this is getting way too crazy.
Can you do the ''release test'' with the Makita xgt 3/4''?
Im interested to see you test some worx brand drill and impact drivers
They are a very good bargain in my area
As a heavy equipment mechanic who uses Dewalt... I NEED the 3/4 961.
Allegedly it's already in the works as a DCF964
I just did an anvil swap on my dcf900. Used a dcf897 nose cone and anvil. Fits perfectly
how does it perform? better than when it was 1/2in drive?
Seeing the SeeSii try to shout you out in an ad, and then get destroyed in todays runs, was quite funny 🤣
Would doing tests on various digital torque wrenches be something you guys would consider doing in the future? I cant remember who but I saw a video a year back of some guy comparing various wrenches and how far out some of the cheaper models are. Would be nice to see :)
How about an impact socket stress test against that banger of a Dewalt? See which one resists the round-out the best. Wright Tool just came out with WrightSquare which is supposed to be like flank drive for the back end of a socket, and a bunch of other popular socket options like Tekton and Sunex and Pittsburgh, maybe toss in a truck brand in there, etc.
3:23 just an fyi from a Metabo user. The battery release button is so wide/weird because you are supposed to push it with the hell of the right(operating) hand and pull out the battery with the left hand.
Definitely need to see more Temu Stuff
I would like to see testing on all the battery powered caulk guns, just wondering if there’s anyway they’re worth it
Man now I have to wait for a dedicated video on the new hercules
Have you tried Makita's 3/4 "XGT impact with the newer 4.0 ah high output battery? It probably won't make a difference but worth a check.
I made a bunch of 1/4 inch dewalt and Milwaukee impacts absolutely love them of course no one cares about them but they are very useful working on cars.
i’ll wait for the new yellow 3/4. my old big boy 1/2 is still doing fine
Been thinking about getting the new Hercules 3/4 from HF
Curious as to the difference between stated breakaway torque (over 1100) and measured torque on the Skidmore LED(800 or so)? Is this a difference in pressure applied vs thread friction induced torque? Perhaps shedding some light on any numbers yielded below advertised?
the paw patrol mayor 😂😂 gotta love having young young siblings/cousins
What is With the Bosch Professional gds 18v 1050hc (name in Germany) It also has a 3/4 inch mount
I can't wait to see the Hercules 3/4" NEW ultra torque driver. I definitely have a Hercules addiction!
i have suspicion the weight of the anvil changed the turn over of the 2nd planetary gear? when you had it open i noticed 2 set of gears big and small one, it may just be a gear change
I'd love to see you review the line up of Caterpillar power tools. Dont know who manufactures them and I wonder if they're any good.
You guys need to do the new brushless 3/4 Hercules impact
I really want to know your tool budget. Thanks for the awesome content!
Damn, how are you going to top this video on Christmas day?
I enjoyed "Frankewaukee". Man taht moded DeWalt 3/4" sure has a bad attitude when it comes to stuck bolts! Nice!
Can you guys test the Menards brand power tools, masterforce. Very curious where they land since they're also made by Chervon like flex and skil
can you include your test with 3/4" bosch biturbo? its tool only only price is kinda on the low side.
You should try to make a 2967-20 3/4 drive version, that would be really cool! A bit less power but shorter and lighter.
that heimerdinger looks really good
Hercules just released their 3/4” this week… might not get the Dewalt, but I bet that would beat out the other 3.
I keep saying, you still haven't tried the big xgt battery for the makita.
I wish you included the Older Makita and XGT 3/4 impact with a larger battery on screen with the curves for comparison with the other Fakita Impacts.
I agree. Makita isn’t getting much love on this channel…. Let’s see the XGT 3/4” with a 5ah or 8ah battery.
“Like a sbc with a big turbo” best line I’ve herd on this channel😂
Yeah that 3/4" Dewalt is going to be a beast. Can't wait. Why doesn't DeWalt make a flex volt impact? Seems like that's a tool that is begging to be given life.
I love these 3/4 videos, that dewalt mod is how they should have shipped it right away from factory. Imho makita xgt still looks very competitive, similar or better numbers in more "realistic" 5 and 10 second tests and none of that vtec nonsense, plus their batteries are much better and quality/repairability is better in general.
Pretty sure they did 1/2 model just in case to be the number one among 1/2 impact wrenches. Maybe there is more to do for the dewalt than just snap on 3/4 drive on 961, and they will do some twicks and things around to make it actual 1200 ft/lbs monster.
@@bleyz3557 maybe yeah, we'll have to wait and see :)
It's worth keeping in mind a 10 second test here is still starting from zero torque. You wouldn't be needing 10 seconds to see the performance we show if your bolt is already tight enough to need those numbers. The VTec changes things a bit but still.
@@TorqueTestChannel yeah ofc :)
No matter what, there's always at least one guy on every single tool videos telling us why Makita is the best.
We need to see the Jingleheimer Schmidt review.
Do you have Lidl stores in the Amerikastan so you can try Parkside tools?
Please test the DCF 885!
hF Hercules just came out with a 3/4 as well for 199 bare tool
Could you please make another video to determine the release torque on the dewalt dcf 961 and the metabo ssw 18 ltx 1750, that would be much more interesting Thanks
Okay I had to LOL at seeing Humdinger on the screen!.
Have you test LAGATUNS 3/4 impact wrench yet . I bought 2 of them came with 1x 6ah battery . Have DW DCF900 bought 2 of them but not dcf961 yet
When will we see a gen 3 3/4 Milwaukee released
Maybe try the Bosch 3/4"? Its rated for 1050Nm, just 50 more than the 1/2" but guessing from how that finished, that would be 2nd place...
That hymendinger resembles the old Harbor Freight Chicago Electric cordless impact from 15 years ago 🤔
Too bad you didn't get the new Hercules 3/4" curious how it compares to these
Looks like it's been out for 1 day and our stores dont have any yet
Can you guys start posting torta results?
love the paw patrol reference for all us parents lmao
The DCF897 has a different width on the anvil lugs (dawgs as you call them). That will result in strange wear/low life on that anvil.
Yep. I just posted a video showing this exact thing, but I've been calling them lobes 😂
I'm scared to see what the dcf999 will be like when we get there
And to think Makita XGT had this torque 3 years ago…
That Humdinger better call the PAW Patrol to get a little more power.
I think testing camping power packs would get you loads of views - as end times approach we need to know what’s the crap in that area 🤔
I hope more brands notice how good it is to make a good quality tool. Seesii probably saw a significant increase in sales after the ttc video and it was solely based on the performance of the tool. The 3/4 wasn’t as impressive, though.
Have you tried hikoki power tools??
Can you try the seesii wh760
Fern, my girlfriend's last name is Heimerdinger. I am devastated that now our friends, all avid TTC viewers, will now giggle when she enters a room. 🙁
Be thankful your girls hammer has no action to it... they'd crack alot of Thai jokes I'd imagine if that thing did hit
I was wondering if he was going to call it humdinger like project farm did
Did not disappoint
Is that SeeSii, Chris from Westchester County?
I have a weird feeling seesee is going to make a huge come back for kicks and giggles
I’m lost for words by the dewalt what do I do I have the Milwaukee half-inch with the 12.0 battery but that Dewalt slaps it in the face how do I get my Milwaukee to make that kind of power?
What about milwaukee new lineup brushless like 2666 high torque and 2686 angle grinder compare to std fuel milwaukee 👏🏽
Love your comments
Well, Metabo fanboy here.
You tried the 8Ah and the 5.5Ah, but did you try the 10Ah battery?
I also wonder how many beans a 4Ah (single row) battery would put out.
I also wonder if you plan to test the other Metabo impact wrenches (300, 400, 800 and 1450 Nm marketed devices).
But yes, although I am a fanboy I have to admit that this highly praised and priced tool did not deliver.
luckily didn't pull the trigger for metabo and with its overpriced price.. will be going with bosch bi turbo 1/2 or 3/4in.. looking fwd for the rand 3/4in test
Hey TTC,
do you have access parkside tools?
Im courious about their numbers in your test setup.
I don't think so but spoiler, they all suck balls hard. Every review I have seen of them was horrible.
Parkside is common in Europe, pretty sure no parkside tools to be seen in USA. Only real way of getting their hands on those tools is to ship them to TTC.
would be great to finally be able to have a proper comparison for them
@@franksenden8187 you can already find reviews on them, they suck and are not worth the time.
We bought a handful of them actually, and then they canceled our shipment because the batteries couldn't ship by air
The heimerdinger is the same tool as that first Seesii high torque you tested isn’t it? They look the same besides drive size
Nope, fairly different
Has Flex made a 3/4 one yet
The DeWALT actually defeating an air tool on this chart is astounding. Can't wait to see the real tool when it releases.
Let me know when the class action begins on that mod. I'll be interested to watch that circus unfold.
LOL
Hogging out the nose of the DCF850 impact driver to install a 1/2" anvil was pretty miserable ... can only imagine doing a high torque!
SeeSi did us dirty here 👎
Why'd the Milwaukee 3/4 get left out of this compare? It would have been cool to see with a Forge battery.
Idk, The $200 AliExpress Onevan 3100nm has more torque than the Milwaukee 2864-20. The Forge battery is pretty impressive but I don’t see it making that much difference.
Very true 👍
Best line to subscribe and enable notifications at the end of the video. Lol
Humdinger. There’s some serious humor with that company!
just call it the humdinger like ProjFarm Todd would. 891 was my former new favorite thi ng.
Go mayor Humdinger!
You should take apart some craftsman stuff and see if it will take Dewalt parts.
We've done that with their high torque
@@TorqueTestChanneland?
Quite similar with some updates being newer
czcams.com/video/wVmpa7_Hre4/video.htmlsi=mQ6FsDpGdZr8EX8J
Great job
I think you should try a FLEX 24V on that dcf961 and supercharge that beast, see what it can do!😂 And heck, why not try the "Top Fuel Nitrometh" treatment on a Hercules Ultra Torque or other impact, using a 60V, 80V, etc battery! It shouldn't last a long time, but it will be a good show!😂
Do you know of anyone running DeWalt tools at 24v?
@@benperkins2929 No. Check out the TTC Battery adaptors video. He tried using Flex 24v batteries on a milwaukee impact and got 20% more torque if i recall right. So doing it on dcf961 would just be stupid powerful
Seriously I've asked this before and I'll ask it again. Why release new high torques in 1/2inch and leave 3/4inch to age when the torque in these new impacts better suit 3/4 drive
Run the XGT on the skid with a 5ah
Dewalt FTW 🙌
Is there a build video on the dewalt?
Im trying to convert my 961 to 3/4 drive also , already got the correct anvil from the older model dewalt 3/4.
Just wondering if he installed a steel sleeve or bushing into the nose cone for the 3/4 anvil after boring it out to accept said anvil?
How'd you make out? I just got the anvil not sure if I need anything else
@dzierzega not good lol , I still have the anvil , tried to drill out the nose cone and found out the insert inside is super freakin hardend. so its still not done. would need to machine it out to size and then the 3/4 anvil would be riding on just aluminum since the sleeve was machined out. so would need a steel sleeve that fits the shank of the 3/4 anvil pressed into the nose cone once its drilled out
@@jdogdiesel7242 have you ordered the same anvil he mentioned in the video?
@dzierzega yes out of the dewalt 3/4in drive impact
Would be fun to compare the Parkside impact that we have here in Europe by Lidl store. It claims 1300Nm for abt 180 usd. I have one and it performs really good. Would love to see how it compares to other cheapos 😁
i use the same heimerdinger in 1/2", for the laughable amount of money it costs, its very good.
Unless you already have Makita batteries, you'd be better off just buying a kit for a big brand since the batteries alone make it too expensive.
@@itspapaj4732 absolutely, these are meant for people who alredy have the batteries, but dont want to pay stupid money for the makita impacts. for the own vehicles/some friends cars type of garage they are great.
i have bought mine with shipping for roughly the price of a makita 5ah battery.
