My second grade teacher mocked me for drawing lollipop trees. (This was way back in the middle of the 1900’s.) My third grade teacher recommended that I get my eyes checked. Guess what? I finally found out that trees have branches and individual leaves. No more lollipop trees for me.
I can relate with your example: I remember
when I got my first pair of glasses to correct
my stigmatisme and realize what I was missing.
