20:45 If you're talking about the green slimy stuff, it looks like an algal bloom. Basically a big old bunch of algae, growing very quickly. It's usually caused by excess nutrients in the water. The algae (and there are lots of different kinds, just like there's lots of different kinds of grass) have so many nutrients to snack on they grow faster than the environment can handle, making the big floating masses of them and coating things like rocks in a slippery layer. Usually, the nutrients that cause algal blooms come from man-made fertilizers. The fertilizers are used on farms, then the rain or groundwater carries it into the nearest waterway. The mat of algae causes shade, which can kill the plant life that are unfortunately enough to be underneath it. No plants means no food for small organisms, no small organisms means no food for larger organisms and so on until you have a freshwater wasteland underneath layer of algae.. In addition to all that, some algae that form blooms are toxic in and of themselves. If you see an algal bloom, don't swim in the water, don't drink the water, and don't let your pets/farm animals swim in or drink the water!

I really like the interaction between you all on your adventures. You are natural and comfortable with each other unlike some of these people faking their reactions. Keep doing what you are doing and stay safe
You can tell you two get on. Forget the it pickers and stay the way you are. ❤

Such beautiful waterways! 😃
thats the kink of creek we siane for minnows , crawdads, and helgramites, fun times
Algae grow by photosynthesis. For this they need sunlight and nutrients, such as phosphorus and nitrogen. An overabundance of nutrients usually leads to excessive algal growth.
Beautiful scenery. Picked up the trash. Yeah!
That area is so pretty!!
Absolutely beautiful scenery ❤😊
Another great one girls. Bet you come across some weird things out there xx
The green stringy stuff is moss that forms when the flow of water is slow and there’s a lot of heat and sun. Harmless.
Love it. Great job, ladies.
Jennifer and mom great job and you ladies have to be careful all most give me a heart attack 🙏😇❤🐸
Totally loving the scenery, Mom! Keep up the great work you guys.
Good afternoon everyone hope you are having a good day. Spending my day off watching your video.
Take care ladies ❤❤
I enjoy the interaction between you and your Mom. I think it’s great that you’re able to do this with each other. On the subject of fire ants they are in my province of Ontario. I’m about ten minutes away from Lake Ontario and the fire ants are in wooded areas, not really in our personal gardens unless you back onto a park with lots of trees. I’ve had other little things bite me while gardening, but so far, I haven’t been bitten by a fire ant. Keep the videos coming, they are really interesting. 😎🇨🇦😎
I’m on the US side of Great Lake Ontario, in NY!! We should have a watch party!! 😂😂😂 🇺🇸
Thanks for that is really nice of you to do that
Sorry, I’m 7 hrs late…since I watch your channel with my grandson for 6 hrs x 3 days a week, I’m sure you can forgive me? Ok, on with the show!!!
I think they are called fire ants because if you have a few bits on your foot or hand, they feel like they are on fire. I lived in Lubbock from 1971-1980 and there were no fire ants there at the time. Then I moved to Houston and quickly got familiar with fire ants.
They are more specifically imported fire ants because they came on a ship that docked in Mobile, AL in the 1930s from South America. They didn’t expect them to spread very far north, but they are much more adaptable than expected.
If you live in a flood prone area like Houston, you find out in a flood, the entire mound will form this swarming ball of ants that floats on the water. Something else to worry about in a flood.
They are known to swarm cattle and can kill them by blocking their nostrils. Nasty little buggers.
Thank you for the information, it was very interesting. I didn’t know they would kill a cow
we have to fireants) and i from Latvia (
Thanks
thank you so much!!
You are so welcome
Helloooo you two! I’m enjoying it when you focus on nature and wildflowers also the raw footage you post. I think if you were to edit out all the little mishaps, it’d be kind of boring or less interesting. I certainly hope neither one of you landed on her tush! 😂 Take care….👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻
Not a bad day here 95 degrees in S. C.
We got fire ants in Canada to
I find it are to believe your bridges don't have side rails . looks like a two lane bridge. Jim's wood shop.

Close, Oklahoma and very close to Arkansas border
@@culvertsandmore Oh, same thing then! No wonder y'all call things the same as I do. Yes, things can and do look snakey!
Fire ants have been known to be fatal to humans. Our government is trying to eradicate the fire ants here in Queensland Australia. Is your government doing anything about them?
I’m slowly catching up on your videos as well. There was one video I counted your mum say “pretty” 10 times 😂😂😂
The only thing we do here for fire ants is take care of them on an individual basis.
Siete due "macchine" instancabili
Don't understand why you don't wear gloves ALL the time. 😢 I see gloves 😊😊 Carry ant stray.
Volummmmmmmmmmmm.?
Can't seem to hear what you 2 are saying. If the communication between you two is unable to be heard, then there is no point in watching this video. You ladies are respectful of each other, giving your relationship with each other, and I think it is truly amazing.
We understand and we try to turn the volume up when we can. You can also use the subtitles if you can’t hear what we are saying.
I do use the subtitles. However, in this video, there were no subtitles. Thank you for the feedback .
I'm not trying to contradict you but I just checked and the closed captioning is available for this video. CZcams autogenerates them. sorry if you don't have them.
Can't hear a thing that your saying!
How about some editing? I can barely hear that you're speaking at the beginning. Anytime your speech doesn't come through, you should be doing a voice over.
That’s what subtitles help with.
I definitely watch Oklahoma Sooners softball 🥎 . I'm not going to be a spoiler but they got number 7 I won't say against who though.
We watched live so we enjoyed watching them win 🏆
