In about 1999 .... I was at a bar in Kitchener, Ontario.... Smog was on their way back to the U.S.A - after touring around in Canada ..... they came into this bar, set all of their equipment up.... and I sat on a bar-stool - drinking beer.... 10 feet away from Bill Callahan - while the band performed for 2 hours. I chatted with Bill after the show, and I told him where I was from. ( North Bay, Ontario ) He asked me if it was cold there.... I said "In the winter time it sure is." He signed me an autograph before the band packed up and left.
For me this seems to be about parental emotional abuse and refusal to mentor...does anyone else see it that wat or is it just my particular form of FITH?

Purée cette classe monumentale !
the hemingway of music
This is unequivocally a song that this man performing it wrote. Chan Marshall and others have covered it. There should be zero confusion
je suis jalouse!!! j'aurai trop aimé être là...
What!? Cat Power covered Smog, not the other way around! Know your lo-fi - or perish beneath the sea while Bill waves to you from his bathysphere.
Pure Brilliance...
so. fucking. good.
pure
Holy shit.. this is so disturbing in so many fantastic ways
This is actually Bill's song; Cat Power covered him in the first place.
Whoa. Are the new lines improv?
that yell at 5:20 is the most real thing
Oops.
