I've been CRYING for 2 days over David & Abbey singing in Africa. Such innocent, pure love. So natural. I cried with every scene of this show! This show makes me want to be a better person!!!
As an autism mom I really appreciate your respectful review of this show, and I think it’s fantastic that you take the time to highlight resources that are available as well.
Thanks for your review of my daughter Journey! I'm now a subscriber! FYI: Journey has an older sister named Stevie, who is away in college. I'm hoping Journey gets a second opportunity in an upcoming season. Take care.
One word: Tanner. I’m obsessed with him and would be HONORED to be his friend in real life. What joy and kindness and love - ugh. We need more Tanners in the world.
Today I have watched the entire season from beginning to end and rounded it all off with your video. I agree with everything you have said. Final scene - paradigm shifting. I love this series. Thank you for giving it such a great review.
I love that your review is fun and funny but also respectful and you manage to share some true facts as well. Awesome! Also can I just note that as a 64 year old white lady from Canada when I heard James ask his date if all her siblings were from the same mama I was like “What?!?! James! Nooooooo!” 😂.
Conner getting mad that he was going to miss the livestream of the king's coronation 😂 my favorite part because in 2011 I was so mad that I didn't take off work to watch William and Kate's wedding live at 3am haha I love this show ❤
Love on the Spectrum always warms my heart and I agree with you that this season had some incredibly touching and one of a kind moments. I enjoyed your take but actually wish you’d said more about Danni. She hadn’t been my favorite from season 1 but I was really glad to see her in a few different situations - especially giving Adon more of a chance. After I finished this new season I felt compelled to go back and watch season 1 over again to better remember the OGs. I really enjoyed the new additions this year too. Oh and James’ parents (and his frustrated reactions to them) crack me up. I hope Conner has gained a new girlfriend and some additional friends through this too. His family was so loving (plus the cute dogs OMG) and I loved how his brother and sister are obviously so committed to helping him and making sure he isn’t alone. I also give this season ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!
I love them too, and I really identify with them. I think the Australian episodes are better because there's Michael Theo (who is now a bankable actor) who's second to none, but really for me they're all stars! My favorite moment of this season is when Abbey is in the bathtub with David in Kenya, and you think there's going to be a tense moment because of the editing and you think they're going to tell her something crazy, like "I'm going to leave you" and there's a big moment of silence. And in fact, he just asks her if she wants to keep collecting Power Rangers figurines and that's amazing . 😍
I didn’t even know there was a new season - so excited to watch now! Also… new season of Love is Blind coming soon!! And Swedish LIB available! Would love to hear your take.
Didnt know they were back until I saw your video come up so I binged it yesterday and burst into tears at the end. Embarrassing. Damn Abbey and David 😭. Also Dani is queen. The cupcake moment. Prime tv. I can’t believe I keep tearing up during this review. Ugh this show, my heart. Lol
Thank you oh so so so much for talking about the disparity between diagnosing boys and girls AND especially diagnoses for poc People do not talk about that enough!
I absolutely love this show - touching, sincere and life affirming.....I also have to say that I so look forward to your videos and take on movies and shows. I stumbled upon your content during LIB, subscribed and stayed. Thank you for your perspective, humor and insights - you rate all the stars.
I look forward to your reviews on the Netflix series. Your perspective is wonderful to watch, Tait. My favorite was Tanner. He was so sweet and caring to his date and did a wonderful prayer including his mother. Thanks for the research on autism and that it affects not only white boys and is under diagnosed. Good the producers listened to you and made the changes.
Kinda sad we didn’t get to see Connor introduce the girl he’s dating to his family. Honestly, they could probably make the season like 20 episodes long and it still wouldn’t feel be enough for me.
I LOVE this show. My son said it’s the only wholesome thing he’s ever seen me watch lol. I’m also a black woman (44) recently self-understood as on the spectrum. I even gave a speech about it in a competition. I’m not as open as I could be about it but once people hear you diagnosed yourself they seem reluctant to hear you. But I know what my experience has been my whole life so I will go ahead and believe that. I also recently found a very compatible partner that I didn’t know I could ever find. He’s maybe on the spectrum too 🤔 but in a different and complimentary way.
Lmao, yes asking "you were?" was crazy lol, every scene with them gets better and better. This show is so heartwarming, loved all the new people and cannot wait to hopefully follow their Journey's (see what I did there?). By the way you forgot Journey had a sister as well. I never bothered to watch the show before and then binged the two US seasons in a day.
Love that couple! And for Journey I feel like they didn’t mentioned that she lived there. Like maybe she was bit older. I always try to focus on who they actually live with to highlight like who is with them the most kinda helping out etc.
Not me reactivating Netflix account just for this show . 😂 Thank you for including the information regarding misdiagnosis or complete lack of diagnosis across race and gender, it’s so understudied!
Binged it this weekend! Connor and Emily became my season favorite couple. David and Abbey hold the all-time title for the US series though. I felt all of those moments too and I agree with you--give them all the Emmys!!
I love this show. I think everyone can learn something from this. It makes me cry with you, Chris 😅. And I have been single for 10 years and this show just makes me smile and fills me with hope.
I decided to give it a go and like 15 minutes into episode 1 of the current season, I'm just smiling and aawing and that's when i knrw i had to see your review cause if they made me smile, you'd make me laugh 😂 They are all just lovely people ❤ And I'm from Kenya actually. Beautiful country you should visit some time 😊
Yeew, I just finished watching the show and immediately can here for your reaction. That last scene with Abbey and David... 🥺🥺🥺. I could not contain myself.
I love your reviews! I’ve never heard of Love On the Spectrum before. This show is not talked about enough. I just watched the whole season and that finale……🥰🥰🥰
Awesome review man. I loved this season and the cast but found myself concerned with 1 couple. Just like the 1st season Dani still has that extreme and linear desire to have a partner who also has a career in animation. And anytime someone expresses that they're not interested in that field of work she dismisses them and instantly moves on to the next. The same can be said about her response to rejection. She's very headstrong when she wants something. Like when she wanted to persue a relationship with her friend only to be denied. She threw a fit and instantly shifted her sexual desires onto Adaon. A guy she's kinda used as option since the first season. I think she's aware that she's an attractive young lady and relies on that to get what she wants. When she asked Adon about sex before marriage he seemed apprehensive about the idea of doing so. But it seemed like he knew that was the only choice he'd have to get out of the friendzone and went along with it. That seems like the main issue he'll have moving forward in the relationship. Constant compromises on his part to sustain the relation or he'll be instantly booted as she proceeds on to the next guy.
Hey thanks for watching and commenting, bro! All fair call outs on Dani. She seems to be the one with the least flexibility on dating so it might continue to be tough for her.
The most wholesome thing I’ve ever seen! Wow… I smiled soooo much watching… Tate you are amazing at these review… my heart gets soooo excited for your reviews!!! Thank you
I haven't got done with the American version yet but Netflix did advertise a Australian version I don't know if it's any good but I'm going to check it out when I finish the American version
I love this show but I have been procrastinating on watching it because i know its gonna hit me hard in the feels and i just can’t handle that right now lol.
I didn’t even know this was out. Ain’t nobody told me nothin! 😫😫 Why Danny so hot in the pants. She really teaching that man how to kiss and he’s all for it. I ❤ Tanner & Journey. Tanner needs someone more talkative. I’m bummed Journey didn’t work out with her partner.
✡I LOVED it as always. YES to everything you said. I loved the beautiful vulnerability each person had. I also loved how the people who were the dates were very kind , understanding and nonjudgemental... except for maybe that one guy. But he wasn't for her anyway. Also, I agree, the way they are diagnosing is changing, broadening and thank God. I am a teacher and I noticed when my daughter was 2 something being off and I got her checked out and low and behold, she was on the spectrum. What the doctor called "autism light". Since then I started to think about different members of my family, and realized that both my dad and my sister had some very similar tendencies to my child. My sister recently told me she thinks she is on the spectrum and I was like, YUP... for sure.Because I got the diagnosis for my daughter early, we have gotten her all kinds of support and she is thriving. My sister, always did well in school, but because she didn't catch the social cues, always felt like an outcast. I wish they had known then what they know now. She has some major emotional wounds from it. Anyhow, thank you for taking time to do your research and to show up the way you did. I learned from what you said too.
@TaitsTake It doesn't though lmao. From my pov, I just enjoyed the show. I didn't look at the race of any of the cast and wonder where all the black people were. I also, as a Jewish man, didn't get upset, feel uncomfortable, and most importantly didn't even take half a second to note or acknowledge that there weren't more Jews on the show, if there were any at all. I certainly didn't and don't consider it to be caused by a lack of representation. In the current time we live in, there's minority representation left, right, and center, so we potentially may have to agree to disagree. I still liked your video overall. Best wishes, Tait
@@jaredlanzetta8021 that’s excellent that you enjoyed the show and weren’t wondering where the black people were. As a black person living in America, I have the right to ask those questions. If you watched my video, I explain how in the U.S., black and Hispanic people are now diagnosed with autism more than any other group. Literally educating you on WHY it has to be a “race thing”. As the person who writes these reviews, I have the right to challenge them on lack of representation.
The Israel part was interesting.. nothing to be proud of to be Israeli. Currently committing genocide in Palestine and it’s a modern day settler colonial state. It’s like what happened to the native Americans and the Jews in the holocaust combined and happening in real time, right now! I would be ashamed to say I’m Israeli and if I did I would clarify how I don’t support the government and it’s actions. Do you condemn the IDF? I sure as hell do. Incredibly sad what’s happening and praying for peace.
@@omax-sy8xp I am very educated. It’s a settler colonial apartheid state that didn’t exist before 1948. Since it’s creation it’s built on displacement, land theft, ethnic cleansing, illegal settlements, kidnapping, organ theft and these are UN identified crimes of war and international law. Anyone that serves in the IDF which is a terrorist organization is complicit. And Israel requires that every Israeli serve 2 years minimum. And our tax dollars go to this and to support free healthcare and education for Jews only in Israel. Non-Jews are treated like black people were in Jim Crow. Apartheid states need to be abolished. Equal rights for all.

Coming with the facts!! Love the video. I’m watching this show this weekend!

Abby and David’s big finale was the single best thing I’ve ever seen on reality television.

Same. Unbelievably inspiring
I loved Connor's arc. He gained so much confidence. Loved that he found someone who loves Transformers and Star Wars too.
He really did go on such a journey.
Tanner realized his dream. He spread joy all around the world by being on Netflix ❤
He surely did!
The Princess Diana reference absolutely KILLED ME
I couldn’t believe my ears. So iconic!
I'm an austism mom and Abbey's mom talking about Abbey not needing her anymore had me sobbing. Lisa is also my fave.
As an autism mom I really appreciate your respectful review of this show, and I think it’s fantastic that you take the time to highlight resources that are available as well.
