  • Passive transport
Passive transport is the movement of molecules, ions, and particles from higher concentration to lower concentration without the use of energy.
There are two main types of Passive transport,
    1) Osmosis
    2) Diffusion
Osmosis is the movement of solvent particles (H2O) for dilute solution to a concentrated solution, Across the semipermeable membrane.
While Diffusion is the movement of molecules from a region of higher concentration to a region of lower concentration down the concentration gradient.
