Hey Charlie, nice word done on your Celica. I’ve got the same Celica 94 US left handed with 2nd gen 3Sgte motor. Now it sad to say that I blew my fourth piston. Just wonder if I should rebuild with upgrade or 4 gen with upgrades. I honestly a bit confuse which gen is better when it’s come to Preformence. Let me know
Hi, thanks for your compliment. In my opinion, I think the 2nd gen 3sgte is kind of outdated. I would prefer a 3rd or 4th gen. By research, they both have it's ups and down but both is a great engine. If you do a little research, 3rd gen have stronger Rods and 4th gen have weaker rods that tends to have a rod knock if pushing too much power but if not then it should be fine. Both engine have good aftermarket parts support if you know where to look for it. Good luck.
Thank you so much, I’m kind of aiming towards 4th gen with rods/pistons upgrades. I’m pretty sure that my 5sfe tranny will be next to blow. Which tranny would fit especially front wheel ? Thanks
@@yaserabouagena1029 You reuse you 5sfe s54 tranny if its in good condition. I reused mine tranny from mine 5sfe and its holding well so long as you don't launch it too often or push over 350hp. You can get a MR2 tranny with lsd to hold the power but pricy.
That black st185 was stunning. Amazing what the 7g wheels can do to the look for the older body style
