- I can't believe I went to see Tom Holland in Romeo & Juliet during the first week of its run! I didn't manage to get tickets during the sale so have already resigned that I might not be able to see this show, but I've found a way and in this video I'm sharing my impressions about this bold production and 3 simple ways to get your hands on tickets for this show.

I've been seeing so many good things about the acting of the cast in this play. The jamie lloyd style seems pretty hit or miss for people, but the performances and chemistry have been mostly universally liked. Great detailed review! The crowd looks insane for such a small area! I'm glad there'a enough security there to ensure no one gets trampled on.

Yes, I am a fan of the musical Moulin Rouge. ;) I saw it already on Broadway with Aaron Tveit, and on West End with Jamie Muscato. Very curious how the current cast is.

I have been checking the website and suddenly there was a 90£ ticket. Going mid June. Seen Jamie Lloyds Sunset Blvd it was sensational. Can't wait for this one, thanks for this fantastic review
YESSS! That’s what I’m talking about - happened to me too with box tickets. There are defo tickets being returned every day, it’s all about catching them at the right moment. Great review, a special production to see. Can you remember how long you had to wait to see Tom leave the theater?
Thanks so much! ☺️ so happy to hear you’ve enjoyed it! We didn’t need to wait too long…I feel like I got out of the theatre and maybe within the next 10-15 minutes, he was out. But I feel I was slow to get out of the theatre. If you’d like to see him afterwards and get a good spot, you’d probably need to leave during the curtain call.

@@KristinaEmilyOfficial we got to see him leaving, exactly as u said didn’t need to wait long. There is such a buzz & the air is electric. I loved the show, but Jamie Lloyd can do no wrong imo 😂 can see why it has polarizing opinions tho.
I didn’t know Freema was in this too. Too bad it’s sold out and I live across the ocean haha.

YESSSSSS ☺️ it’s a sold out play running in London until August but there are some rumours it might go to Broadway afterwards! So he’ll be playing Romeo for some time!

@@hlubideetz7614 haha that would totally make sense tbh! This is his return to the West End - the first time since he was in Billy Elliot when he was a kid. 😍so pretty special!
@hlubideetz7614 yeh unfortunately some industry publications on twitter "announced" that he would be starring in a new production of R&J and as usual nobody read the actual article that stated it would be a west end play. Cue loads of tweets of people complaining about remakes and not needing another film and the cast etc. All for a play they had no chance of seeing anyway. A similar thing happened again with a Broadway version with Camila starring in it... people still think that's a film too.
I have been at the opening night (due to it being canceled sat+sun) and this was a very interesting review, as I've not been familiar with the Jamie Lloyd kind of style. Nice to hear your thoughts on it.

@@KristinaEmilyOfficial It was very interesting, i really loved the style, the actors and everything, I just really struggled with the shakespeare english, as english is my second language. But of course I knew the story and everything beforehand, so I could still figure out what's going on

How scary or violent is it? As I'm going with young teenagers and the age has been changed from 12+ to 15+
It’s pretty gloomy and dark, and there are a few quite violent scenes with blood and flashes…so it defo isn’t the most young teen friendly show. But then it really depends if they’ve been exposed to theatre like that before.
This needs a trigger warning for neurodivergent/autistic with overwhelmingly loud, dark oppressive sounds pre show and pitch black I had to leave as sensory overload even with headphones and I didn’t feel safe being in my wheelchair in a pitch black dark space, if you are disabled, autistic or neurodivergent, or sensitive to loud volumes this will definitely not be your go to, I had to leave prior to the start of the show and didn’t get to see anything and came away shaking as overwhelmed.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience and these trigger warnings! I'm so sorry it was so overwhelming that you had to leave. You are so right about all aspects of the show that make it hard or impossible to adjust to if you are neurodivergent/autistic. It seems that this is one of the shows that really didn't keep this in mind because it's full of sensory overload.
It is sold out just for Tom Holland
He’s the star of the show but the rest of the cast is great too and totally worth seeing! ☺️
