Tracee and issa should work together on a show. They're so much into their blackness.. I always have a big smile when I watch them interviewed.

Amazing Tracy like always. I just 3yrs ago i went fully natural, no more relaxers. As a Afro Latina, i started relaxing my hair when I went to High school In Panama. But mh younger sister went natural 6yrs ago and she really inspired me. Thstshen i noticed the beuty od our hair, especially when you have a mixture hair. I will not go back to relaxing. But sometimes i do blow out my hair for special occasions!

As a black woman, I want to know how many hair documentaries do we need to see or make? Black Hollywood has a tendency to rinse and repeat it's content. We know there's issues with "black hair", but there are a million stories or things to discuss that not hair texture, colorism. Let's find different stories to tell. The older I become, I find myself not interested in black content because it's the same thing. Maybe these are the only type of content that's greenlit but, come on. Or maybe it's the creators looking at social media whine fest about black hair. Look our hair texture isn't going to change, people will always have something to say about it, what else is there to discuss?

Maybe this one will be different, it is a docuseries and it talks about black womanhood and textualism too🤷🏽‍♀️ and it hasn’t come out yet

Though appreciates Tracee's interest with hair, I feel the same as you there are many documentaries on black women's hair already! Just go back to the 70s with Angela Davies Afro Hair making a statement about blackness. Tracee, could have done a documentary on "single and childless", because it's a big stigma in the black community.

Have you seen this one yet before you judge? There are millions of documentaries about same things repeatedly made (wars, crimes, social issues, Africa, obesity etc)
Here’s the deal, this is an ongoing issue and will always be. But you will be surprised how many black peoples have not ever seen a black hair documentary. I myself have never seen one. I’m going to watch this. Though we don’t need to explain our hair to anyone

@@theofficialwaywardyeye896it was not a judgement but a comment like all light minded individuals. It's also not a judgement on Miss Ross, as delighted to see her new take on this topic, but if you Search you'll see many similarities. Chris Rock did a very interesting documentary if you want to make a start. But, I've always been empowered by my, hair, skin tone and all things black. As love 💖 my history and culture.

Didn't Chris Rock already do this with "Good Hair?" It seems like she's stealing the idea from him...

So in the space of 2,022 years there has been ONE (dismal) attempt at a documentary about black hair and you actually think someone is stealing the 'idea' from Chris?
There is more than one vantage point, plus his commentary wasn't complimentary in any way.

Black Hair was about how SOCIETY sees our hair and treats us because of it and THIS document series is about us being in love with our hair textures .... stop.
