The idea that all of the TNG guys and gals still get together for dinner a few times a year and enjoy each others company makes the world a better place in my mind.
On another video I think it was Brent Spiner who said they are all on a group text. It is quite amazing because most actors aren't like that. Once the job is done they are onto the next one.
@@vanmoodymaybe also p.stewart says so on the captains movie by w.shatner
People had their doubts about season 3 but it turned out to be pretty darn amazing. This original crew just has something magic about them.
Gates finally getting the attention she deserves, such an iconic role!
Dr. C. really is a great undersung character. Just think of an ep. like "Remember Me." It's a perfect ep., a perfect piece of science fiction, and it's all hers, and largely due to her performance as that character. And she's not the damsel in distress (due to son Wesley's experiment gone awry)--she's the woman of intelligence and action figuring out the conundrum.
Did anyone like Pulaski?
@@jakerazmataz852 the character was eh, but Diana was a well-respected working supporting actress for decades by that time.
@@themadmallard Yea, I'm old. Like OS old. I did like it when she got Data's name right.
@@jakerazmataz852to be contentious I preferred Polaski. The dynamic between her and Data was well worth exploring. She would have been an asset to the series. Dr C was just too annoyingly good. Even now I always skip her episodes when I watch SNG. Sorry folks !
I love how much Frakes comes in with the elbow to Stewart, McFadden and Dorn's ribs during any of their stories or recollections. Very Riker-esque XD.
"Was she a stewardess?" Man, I love Gates McFadden. Thank you for this awesome interview!
The ONLY crew of Star Trek to stay drama free, 100%. Sirtis said none of them have juicy "tell-all" memoirs to publish; it would just be "there once were 7 adults who loved and supported each other for 7 seasons, 4 movies, and still get together for dinners. The end." TNG had loads of drama behind the scenes, but none of it was *them*. And that, to me, has always been the best part.
Soooooo if they all had hated each other you would have not been a fan?
I have also met with the original crew of the original Enterprise in the 60s William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy and a whole slew the other characters including the doctor the Helmsman and the Navigator I especially like talking with the communications officer Michelle Nichols
@@landline00 yes I would have still been interested in them as well as what they do on the show and off the show. As well as help them understand each other from a different point of view. And help them understand what they mean to many other people. Not just me.
And as far as the Next Generation crew are concerned I had the privy of meeting all of them. When they played a a play up here on the University of Minnesota campus entitled "Every good boy does fine" . And it was a fantastic and wonderful experience. Both in having the experience of meeting with them as Actors and Actresses as well as the total enjoyment of meeting them as people.
actually dorn is controversial n drama by himself... his post about geeks n appearance in ted2... yeah...😠 but his character worf is indeed commendable n redeemable same for brent spiner irl n online 👎 but his character data... commendable n redeeming...
THAT was absolutely amazing. There can be absolutely no doubt in my mind; they are the family we all want to have. That's an incredible role to be handed, and you have to make yourself worthy of it. Frakes absolutely nailed it. They all did.
soul family
Star Trek has been in my life since the very first episode. Star Trek will continue for generations to come. Everybody loves Star Trek.
Seeing these panels with the TNG crew always warms my heart.
They talk so openly about each other cause they actually share the stories with each other. Surprisingly Stewart said he had kept in touch with all of them since the show ended. But the more they go to these panels the more they probably travel and spend time with one another.
I like when Micheal Dorn talks as worf. Badass Klingon voice! Quapla!
These folks are the epitome of joy! Without scripts, without ulterior motives for ads etc, they are all so naturally, spontaneously FUNNY and still bring me so much laughter and happiness, just ... hanging with them! And they give tribute to Gene Roddenberry, the creator of it all. Such extraordinary humans! Well done!♥
I think this is one of those lovely situations where the actors are as loved as much as the characters 😊
The love this cast has for each other should and will be the love humanity will have and share for itself.
Worf is my absolute favorite Character of all the franchises. I just love him! Micheal Dorn just does not age?????? How does he do that!
My guess is that Klingons don’t subscribe to aging
Constantly being roasted by his TNG castmates keeps him young 😂
klingons do not age.
he has got some good genes
His vegan diet and healthy living probably helps too! 😉
This show was my anchor during my secondary school years. So crazy seeing them back again, all together. The friendship is real!
TNG got me through some rubbish years growing up
Me too.
Picard Season 3 deserves multiple Emmy's!!!
*Emmys
Yes and season 1 and 2 should be forgotten
Definitely. Season 3 was and is absolutely outstanding.
Picard seasons 3 is outstanding❤
Seeing this makes me want to binge all TNG conventions all over again.
I'm a Trekkie from way back!! It was so gratifying to see them old like me and doing great!! What a show Picard is or was! I will watch it over and over the same way I watch Next Generation over and over and never get tired of it!
Guys, we need to start the official petition - get Michael Dorn more work. Immediately. How has this treasure remained on the sideline for so long??! He stole this entire season!
As a theater major I've never been so sure that you must have conflict always to have good drama. I found it so refreshing that the crew co-operated and counted on each other and trusted each other. They didn't think someone was crazy, e.g., if they started 'seeing' or hearing things that others couldn't, they believed them first time and banded together to figure out what was happening. Conflict, esp. in tv, can lead to one cliche after another and melodrama. This show was about civilized people who behaved honorably. There are always other ways of bringing in conflict that don't involve constant friction between core characters.
It's like watching a group of veterans telling old war story's you can feel the love and respect and I'm 50 now but remember seeing encounter at farpoint and being amazed by it and from Tasha yar going to when data saved Picard and perished to now with the show Picard it's been an amazing ride it's just that this maybe the last time we see the gang back together and that makes me sad and grateful at the same time so thank you the cast of the next generation for hours and hours of escapism for my imagination thank you :-) :-) :-) :-)
Entertainment is like that... working together for a month, or years...there's a never-ending bond over something that you created together. From on-off shows created on the fly, to YEARS in the same place, everything is unique and everything is 'the same'. Those days and times bond us together...
If it's truly ending I will shed tears. Love this bunch so. They are all honorable.
THEY HELD HANDS!!! Gods Patrick Stewart is such a loving person.
My favorite 3 TNG characters were B. Crusher, Data, and Worf. Dr. Crusher going into tactical battle mode as Captain on bridge or in combat mode was a sight.. Data and Worf was their characters’ humors.
Gates is on fire! LOL
The love they have for each other is contagious. It translated into the characters.
Any Time I see THEM I feel Home ❤️
Season " one " of Picard is just Trek awesomenss! Thank Terry and all involved to bring us fans Star Trek. Personally i don't recall being a season one and two.
LOL xD
Season one was ok at best. Season 2 was awful, but season 3 was perfection.
Nah, Season 3 is where the real acting starts. S2 was barely tolerable thanks to Q , and S1 was an abomination.......in my opinion.
That was like being back at Thanksgiving and watching your family chat at the table.
This was a wonderful, human, and enlightening view and new perspective on the interaction of the cast. I loved this. Thanks to all of you. I have a smile on my face.
It's content like this that makes me wish CZcams has a love react option
The TNG cast is a shining example of just how well unproblematic people age.
LEGENDS of TV.
They don't make them like this anymore.
Oh my God!!! I want Patrick Stewart to play a random Ferengi, so bad!!!!!
I was there, holdin a Hand and sweeping my eyes. Thank you Admiral Picard and your last generation
These people make me happy.
So happy we all got this chance to tie things up and end well (presuming, one ep left to go as I write this!) All the ❤️ for TNG
have to admit 3rd season is a delight to watch cause like gates says its good for all the characters even the new ones cause they plot develop everyone
love to see 7 of 9 series now with that crew she has assembled ya get a kid of picards too
You would never guess that Gates is in her 70's, she looks absolutely phenomenal
I love all of these people so much.
Totally hilarious and SOOO cool! More Trek, MORE TREK !
I watched the entire video and loved every second of it. Live long and prosper
If there is one thing i learned from Picard Season 3, it is that Dorn should have gotten a Captain Worf show.
Thank you for this. Gave me some great laughs. I love being an old head Trekkie.
Amazing. Love watching the panels for this crew particularly when they are all together
Ok second petition - Star Trek: Crusher. Starring Gates as the new chief medical officer of Star Fleet. Could be an ER style medical jargon show with her and her team responding to medical emergencies across the galaxy!
That was one of the best interviews! Wonderful to see and listen to them.
42:09 Holy fences.... 🤯 that is utterly brilliant.
Yes I agree this is absolutely amazing and I've met some of these people personally they're just as amazing in person as they are in this interview
"I was in those movies?" Gates, you gem.
11:44 - “jIlajneS. ghij qet jaghmeyjaj."
(jillazh nesh. Gueej ket jahg may jahdge)
" I accept, with honor. May your enemies run today."
im 45 and i can say crusher was super important to me as a strong, leading, elegant, loving yet flawed and accomplished woman i could look up to. i liked her more than most. data was my favourite
One thing i would like to know about the season 3 Picard is what the hell happened to the ''good '' borg from season2?
just put this cast in a room and let them talk, I could watch them for hours . they have such a great time
42:15 "what you've got to remember is the camera photographs thoughts"
if only more actors knew this and were interesting to look at in thought... Hugh Laurie as House M.D. practically built an entire show around it
I'm so confused, Patrick Stewart's normal Shakespearean booming vitality voice is here, but was missing in Picard Season 3 which filmed in 2022, originally I thought it was just age, but maybe he was sick or weak from something
Finally got around to o watching this in July 2023 a few months after Picard wrapped up... Loved this discussion! Thank you!
This was amazing!!!
This was awesome. Thank you 😊
#StarTrekPicardFYC #FYC #Emmy #Legacy...So much love & respect...Thank you for sharing!😁❤❤❤
That was effing awesome!
Love this guys, they have a great sense of humor
CONGRATS ON AN AMAZING SEASON 3!!
Those were great questions. 👍🏼
They definitely have a bond that comes across loud and clear. If it wasn’t for that, TNG just wouldn’t have worked. So it’s easy to understand why they just couldn’t say goodbye even after TNG ended.
Galaxy Quest just gets truer every year 😂
First things first, Michael Dorn Aka 'Worf', you are my childhood Hero! Very much as well as LeVar Burton Aka 'Geordi La Forge' !! Mr Picard and Frakes, you already know I love you guys. Gates McFadden, WOW! Still beautiful as ever. I hope they all turn to The Holy Christ in their last days, it's all there really is at the end, but to each their own. With that said, it's always a pleasure seeing my fave cast of a show together!
I agree with Michael Dorn. If they can't remember, let them figure it out cuz after he or they are gone, that's when the memory kicks in lol.
Finest crew i ever got to enjoy watching the voyages with through television and film. As fans we are Blessed by these explorers of the cosmos ❤ thank you cast and crew of TNG
Thoroughly enjoyed.
Many actors greatest fear, is to be type cast into a specific roll, that could affect their entire career, going forward.
Being type cast into ST history, eventually becomes an honor that no actor should come to regret.
Fun people. Good vibes.
Amazing.
Loved it ❤
I love the new zen Worf - I want a new series called Worf
Chemistry is forever.
My heroes.😃🙏I love star Trek.
Gates is just such a stunning poised beauty.
The most hilarious Star Trek cast panel I’ve seen so far.
I never realized that TNG never got a award or nomination for acting while it aired.
It is a crime.
👏 Legends! THX for good times on bad or good days for so many years 👏 Every 2-3 years I start TNG etc. for a new run
there is always confrontation in a family
When Michael said "and half way through dinner" I could instantly hear Sam Kinison screaming at the top of his lungs lol
17:37 🤣🤣 instantly one of the best Star Trek interviews ever!
24:15 That's kind of appreciated. He is not giving the moment of that funny picture, so he did something silly to give us a fun moment.
It sucks they never got emmys but until very recently Hollywood hated sci-fi still do secretly imho
Brent is perhaps the best actor I've ever seen. Watching him go back and forth between characters so effortlessly was magic to watch.
I love the Klingon with the smooth forehead not telling people who he is. lol My favorite Star Trek character is Zen Master Worf.
I absolutely love you and your channel, awesome content💕
I've got my asbestos suit on, but the *best* crew of any Trek series! Bring it on, TOS fans, DS9ers, and anyone else! 😆😁
I had a great laugh!😂😂 The sense of humour this cast has is impeccable.
love you Gates ❤😂
Bring back season 4 please xxx
Crazy that I'm Patricks age when he started Star Trek.
And...shake. The most well-planned special effect in history. These people are PROFFESSIONALS, and dont you doubt it. This was great.
Like Family!! (actually, time-spent & enjoyment wise, even more so than my bio-fam)
Q is basically Loki, without violent tendencies.
Loki is an ant compared to Q, in terms of power. The Q is at an incredible power level. In regards to mischievousness: Loki has deep reasons, Q is just having fun.
Drunk ...a rarity !! this was great 😊
So many people were crying....😊
Think about that a billion of Fans were loosing their eyedrops, even crying cause it was so good.
👏👏👏👏👏
