This video answers the question "How does Sri Swamiji maintain healthy Eclectus parrots?" made by a friend in SGS Birds page in Facebook ~ sgsbirds. This video presents Sri Swamiji's adopted way of caring of Eclectus Parrots. This video features 8 eclectus parrots belonging to sub species - grand eclectus, solomon solomon, pied eclectus, red sided eclectus - both male and female.
Sri Swamiji demonstrates with His simple English, His unique way of understanding the birds and adopting His own way of their caring is marvellous and the bond birds develop with Sri Swamiji is amazing.

We will come to India definitely and visit Sri Swamiji´s bird parc and rehabilitation center Shuka Vana! Thank you for explaining in detail the bird food for Eclectus parrots. It´s amazing how careful and accurate the stuff prepares it. This food looks very healthy for humans too :). And we can see that all birds - as all other creatures - need love and compassion. They truely enjoy Appaji´s care and being cuddled by him. Hope that every species on this globe has such a dedicated protector.

A very informative and educational video from Sri Swamiji. Many bird lovers out there who are very passionate about owning and raising parrots are much benefited by this simple, yet very informative video. It is particularly interesting to note that Sri Swamiji's upbringing of the parrots involves not just food/feeding, but also exercise, chant divine names, be in the sunshine....and above all the showering of compassion towards these wonderful beings. His discourses in english are easy to understand.Sri Swamiji conducted Vedanta classes in Denmark several years back. He was discoursing in english daily for about a week.After the daily discourse, when the participants were asked if translation was required, they said that Sri Swamiji's english is very understandable and the translator will never be able to give the proper translation.Devotees across the globe have been listening to and enjoying His english discourses for the past 4-5 decades.

i have a pair of ectectus.. it was kept with another female bird from the seller i bought. unfortunately the 3rd female bird plucked their tail feathers. How long it will take to grow back and what kind of care should be taken..thanks

I do not personally have or know an Eclectus or any Parrot but was interested in your video because I do love Parrots and because I enjoy learning. You strike me as being knowledgable and having useful information to teach others. However it is very hard for me to hear your voice because it sounds like there is an echo in the room. Also the background music is nice but contributes to my difficulty hearing you. Thank you for kindly considering my humble thoughts. :-)

Is the care the same for all type of parrots? I have a Goffin, and I would like to know how to take care of him.
