I have a bit of chalk that I use to load the file, so that the alloy does not stick in it.
Some good tips in here, cool to see what other obstructions you have to pay attention too / deal with. will be making a dry sump pan for a saab motor in a mx5, for clearance.

Wouldn't it be easier to modify the factory oil pan? Still interesting to see how you made it, but I'm just not sure why you did it from scratch.
This system doesn't allow you to lower the engine in the car very much.
Wait, this engine doesn't have piston squirters? Really? Who, rhetorically speaking, doesn't put piston squirters in an engine? I guess Ford. Wow.
