This song really kicked me into overdrive when we're trying to protect KeA, get her out of the state, and then we find out the Bracer guild was fuckin' shot up, then suddenly Zeit growls and Tio says "We're surrounded" I'm like oh.
Then the SSS office gets shot up as we run about the city trying to escape.
Like bro. That's one of the most if not most intense moments in gaming I've seen in a while. It's like... wow.
The entire Finale of Zero was amazing, it really was Crossbell's longest day.
That entire sequence plus the car chase scene is one of the most goated moments in Trails as a whole. Sergei pulling off those sick drifts evading the mafia's blockade as hundreds of tommy guns fire nonstop at the limousine. And when you think you're in the clear, suddenly, Zeit growls again, "we're being pursued!"
The new CGF armored cars meant to protect the sovereignty of Crossbell, now turned against our heroes. Unguided rockets fire away as Sergei barely maneuvers out of their way. The tanks catch up, and trap our heroes in a death zone as their mounted miniguns shred apart the limousine, even with bulletproof armor, it wouldnt hold out much longer, as a bullet clips through Sergei's knee.
And just when all hope seemed lost, lo and behold, a third armored car charges into the fray, and rams one of the enemy cars off the road! It's Noel!
What a magnificent, adrenaline-rush of a finale!
The part where they're escaping from the city from Revache and cgf troupes, whole scenario got me at the edge of my seat in excitement
This hits like a truck the first time.
"W-what's this about demons?? I thought this was a c-cop drama!"
Well, it is a cop drama set in a universe where you can buy cellphones that can literally do Final Fantasy summons as long as you put the right magic orbs in them.
This is literally Final Fantasy VII if it was a detective's story
It's all fun and games until the Chief pulls out the shotty and gets serious
Finna pull out that Reinford Model 1301 Tactical.
And Boy Howdy do things get dead serious….
Easily one of the best tracks in Zero. Particularly when it played when Crossbell City was being invaded by everybody and their mother. Zero went from a awesome 80s cop action film to... this masterpiece.
there was a drug bust involving gang members too!
This song is DEFINITELY the kind you'd hear when fighting against someone who's driven to madness.
1:25 is my favorite part. It has the feeling of valor, despair, and hope within a few seconds.
Me too❤❤
If you played The 3rd, this song feels extra powerful.
Gotta love payback time.
I don't remember this song playing at 3rd
@@dsjgfxxkhrx4050 It plays when you're facing an Arch Devil in a dungeon that reuses a lot of enemies and the higher elements/same riskier bonus icons as 3rd
@@InsaneVisionary plus, zero is the game that confirms that demons are real in this universe. In the third, due to the nature of phantasmagoria, I thought demons were just myth
@@Barrylocke 100% dude, I remember realizing that midway through 3rd, they were talking about how all these Devils were straight from the Testaments, but then you learn Phantasma’s devils are just Kevin imagining what he deserves, so when they actually show up in the later games it’s like 😳 shits actually getting serious
sUPeR HEalInG
Ghost_Dog97 oh, yeah, that super long annoying animation that healed for no hp at all and consumed debuff time. That was dumb.
The piano part is what makes this song.
It sets the dark tone so god damn well
It definitely does, along with the shrill guitar, and hot beat. The composition of this entire track is pure genius.
That ENTIRE Scene . . . . Epic Beyond Belief!!!
The first time this track drops with the dolls. Lord. Really makes you feel like you're somewhere you shouldn't be.
Don't you get to go to the Moon Temple before the Rosenberg Doll Studio? But yes, this theme was fitting for one of the only challenging fights in the game past the first few in the prologue.
@@Heccct Yeah, I forgot it played there when I made this comment. I remember it for the doll fight WAAAAAAY more than that one haha.
@@Heccct For real though. Every trails game Hardest encounters are either prologue or chapter 1.
@@21stCenturyBoy- Honestly I didn’t even know you could go into the doll studio till I found this comment so I’ll have to do that whenever I eventually replay the game
@@knuckles7995 same, i tried a bunch of times but it was always locked
this music makes you pump for a fight
When the game shift the tone from chasing mafia gang to church of satan
Nah even Satan would be displeased with the DG Cult
Why is this song so goddamn good
Probably because it plays during the moment where you get chased by corrupted military armies and squads of drugged zombies, all armed, dangerous, and brainwashed to capture a little girl for a satanic pedophile . . . .
@@supersonicmario56 Not that the antagonist wasn't a massive asshole, but where does anything happen that implies he is a pedophile? there's nothing sexual about it if memory serves O.o
Well, there is Paradise tho
@@kokokoku4281 Ugh, _That_ Nightmare . . .
@@supersonicmario56 nightmare, that is the only way to describe it.
Jesus christ Star Door 15 hits so hard
I just beat this game and many times when hearing this song I had one thought after beating 3rd... Kevin...WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU?
I still have to play azure so no spoilers please.
Underrated soundtrack
So hyped for next year! :D
So close!!
Amazing track, and it reminds me so much of 'Laughter', from Phantasy Star IV.
When your city is under fire and you are running away from the corrupted soldiers:
My favorite part of the game was facing demons and the demonic arc overall!!
One of the few times a game actually made my heart race even if there wasn't any real gameplay. My heart was beating so fast, I was practically screaming at the screen at the edge of my seat. Just pure fucking hype in its most distilled form, thank God for Falcom. Jesus these games are masterpieces.
@@McCaroni_Sup hell yeah, almost finished with trails to azure, playing trails of cold steel later on this year! Can’t wait!!
Zero's best top attack music !
Angery Garcia Rossi.
Ore no banda na!!!
When this starts playing, you know demonic stuff is behind.
THE SHACKLES
I think this would've made for a pretty good low HP theme. It reminds me of Even if Driven to the Wall quite a bit.
This tune alone makes me like Ernest.
1:25
WE 👏 NEED 👏 MORE 👏 CINEMATIC 👏 CHIEF 👏 DRIFTS 👏
This sounds like an SMT track, nice.
There are definitely certain tracks that are somewhat reminiscent, but overall this one doesn't. The closest I would relate it to is SMTIV's OST.
This song made the final chapter. Perfectly adds to the tense and scary atmosphere. The arrangement/sound quality is pretty horrid though, even worse than Momiyama's usual; not that it makes this track any less awesome, I love the overall atmosphere that exudes from this track.
Not into these "stressful/unsettling" themes as they make me feel very anxious. Not saying it is bad, but it is certainly not for me (prefer the more HYPE themes like *Formidable Enemy).*
If we're being fair here, there is literally no video game soundtrack that will be composed solely of tracks that you would listen to outside of the game. This track fits perfectly for the context it is played in. It's supposed to sound stressful and unsettling, to effectively convey the dire situation Crossbell is in at that point in the story. And it fulfills that role perfectly - during the whole scene in which I didn't even have any control, I felt a rush of adrenaline that few other games have managed to replicate other than in gameplay. Well, that and the fact that the writing made me really invested into the story of the SSS. Really had me at the edge of my seat, and the music was a big part.
And even so, I personally think it's still one of the more hype BGMs in the game and is certainly a banger I'd listen to willingly on its own merits. But I can't deny that I also like to listen to this theme to remember the crazy shit that went down during the finale. But you can't deny that the whole guitar riff at 1:25 isn't a banger, come on.
Edit: Came back to this comment and just realized I was wrong. There IS a video game soundtrack composed solely of tracks I'd listen to outside the game, it's the Blue Archive soundtrack lol.
I can understand that. This one and Ancient Pulsation in particular are very much intended to give exactly that feeling (the characters are also on the verge of freaking out at the time those play in story sequences, and Ancient Pulsation playing at the Ancient Battlefield also emphasizes its unnatural energy and creepiness)
Everyone's talking about the Crossbell scene but the only thing I think of when I hear is this is those fucking dolls. That fight makes Arianrhod and Sigmund look easy (well, Arianrhod is easy regardless)
I'm certainly one of the few who actually prefer the evo version of this one
