Playing smg+shotgun is so much fun in casual, but in ranked feels like sniper+smg is the meta now.
Like, everyone in normal games just want to fight, so close combat is much more important than long range guns, while in ranked people tends to play more carefully that using sniper is much safer both for damage outputing and scouting, plus smg is more consistant in close/mid range when there're 10 teams in ring 4.
I mostly agree with you, but honestly I see way more Hemlocks and Nemesis than I do sniper when I play ranked, at least in Plat/Diamond lobbies.
@@homeschool4u951 yeah I also run nemesis/havoc as secondary in plat/dia lobbies, idk why but energy weapon seems work most for me.
nemesis when fully warmed up it tears people in less than 1 second, and havoc with hopup also do that.
The triple take is essentially a mastiff on hipfire within maybe 20 meters

I am glad someone said this about shotguns. They are not consistent, and I tried playing them so many times, I just can't hit a shot. I can hit back to back to back heads with Sentinel but no 80-104 with a PK or mastiff. Mozambique is only viable here.
They are consistent with practice, Only time I start missing is if havent played shotties in a week or so
@@WilzerZ i think no matter how much you practice the dmg is still not consistent. You might hit every shot but sometimes it just does not register irrespective of the ping. i think that's why most pros in tourneys don't run shotguns even though they will use it a lot in their normal streams. just my experience with shotguns. What do u think?
@@ibinTZY For casuals the ping difference is very true, but in competitive apex most pros have good internet and hardware. They dont run shotguns because controller players are entry fragging with smgs. There is no peek fighting in gibby bubbles and in buildings with wattson as much as before, so smgs outclass shotguns by range they offer.
What comes to inconsistency its really about patience and time youre given to aim your shots
@@WilzerZ hmmm yes when you put it this way it makes sense...I guess most players including me just panic-shoot shotguns in most situations and blame it on it being inconsistent hahaha. The meta as you mentioned also doesn't favour shotguns like before is so true...now before you take time to aim your shots you are already shredded.
@@ibinTZYShotguns suck because you have to barrel stuff enemies for them to be effective. The Mozambique has the best range@ibinTZY

Depending what shotgun you use, at one point it was centered around the Eva8 for a lil but despite that I’m legit bad with all shit guns and right now I’m barley getting my sentinel down
PK is high risk high reward. Mastiff has just becoming better and better as it has received a lot of buffs for several seasons

A pk can sense the user's fear and will only hit the enemies 9 or 10 (coz for some reason the shots dont register)

Pk gets a bad rep cuz of ppl like this guy who doesn’t understand how the spray of it works and they always hit 9s, guys like this prolly also think the Eva is trash as well but their actually just as powerful as the mastiff if not more powerful especially w the pk.

Meanwhile, I’ll wait for a team to push me with a charged up PK and do 100+ first hit lol. It’s super duper clutch and one of the best weapons to wipe a team IMO
