If simply mistakingly taking the wrong medication for a cold or for allergies that in no way will it give you a sporting advantage can get you a 4 year ban a lot of innocent sportsman are going to get their careers ruined.

Exactly. Blaise Matuidi has an enormous legacy by this logic because he won the World Cup and some Serie A titles with Juventus. Pogba wasn’t even the best midfielder in his national team and hasn’t been better than Tomas Soucek since 2018. Failed talent who lives off of one tournament.

He’s won lots of medals apart from champs league. Shouldn’t have come back to United. He’s a top player just didn’t achieve his full potential. You can put him in with Hazard if you like. But he has had a better career than 99 percent of footballers.
Unfair comparison because Hazard was much better and more consistent imo. Ruined by injuries in the end but brilliant at Lille and Chelsea bar a dud season. Pogba was a great talent who looked to be a world beater at Juventus, never lived up to the hype at Utd, won the World Cup in a very talented French team and then absolutely fell off a cliff ever since for reasons that are difficult to discern and has now disgraced himself by doping. Pogba’s talent was only ever seen in glimpses after moving to Utd whereas Hazard was class for an 8 year period.

I find it weird debating stats because the roles and the way of playing football was not the same in the 90´ as it is today. Ferguson played with two strikers up front and usually had the wingers making the assist.
Paul ince cant really be compared since his influence were way bigger than Pogba´s despite not having the goals or assist.

Ofc he has a legacy but he has underperformed his potential more drastically than most players who are put in the same category (say Neymar or Hazard). After his peak in 2018 he’s only scored 9 goals has barely played 100 games and has perhaps ended his own career through doping. Drastic fall off when it looked like he was going to be one of the best midfielders of his generation.
He was a victim of the man utd glazers like Sancho, Ronaldo, Lukaku, Van Der Beek, Young, De Gea, Onana etc. Don't make it seem like dabbing ended everything.
