Love the aesthetic of Tracksmith, so much running gear is in obnoxious colors or patterns. Love how classic this stuff looks. I just wish it wasn’t so expensive and that they had better size availability. I am a medium and it’s very hard to find anything in stock in my size, unless I buy it the day it comes out
Turnover tights are my favorite of several brands I’ve tried. Very comfortable and the right amount of warmth. I wish the NDO jacket wasn’t quite so expensive. Hard to justify the cost for a jacket that will only be worn 4 months of the year
Really love the lined turnover tights! Agree with the storage observation, would be nice, but still such a great piece.
I agree with you about the need for more zippered pockets on running gear. Really like the style of the Tracksmith clothes!
Thanks for introducing me to this brand. Their stuff looks fabulous (and expensive)! But love their designs and focus on quality.
I love Tracksmith and finally decided to buy the NDO tights (not the ones you got). The reflective stripes came off in the first wash and I was disappointed in how cold they felt for -5C in the groin area. (I returned them). I know they change the style every year so I may buy them again, but I have to say I was disappointed in this year. Especially because they cost me CDN$300+
Thanks for your reviews! Love the channel
The Harrier short sleeves - running Tees made of merino - are incredibly useful for spring/fall days that are a little cool for a normal Tee but you don't want to go with long sleeves. I never would have thought of a wool short sleeve but they work quite well. They sell out in popular sizes at the start of Spring so start checking for them now.
I love love TS. Nothing else comes close in quality, but you do pay for it. My favorite gear from them is the Twightlight tees/tanks/shorts. The Reggie half tights are great too.
Been browsing through Tracksmith stuff today! The aesthetics are fantastic. Gonna get some summer pieces though.
Living in Boston I'm lucky in that I can go by the trackhouse anytime. I lucked out 2019 during their in store silver medal sale. Got about a dozen pieces for a steal (like 80% off)! Missed out this year cause of the pandemic but hopefully this summer the store silver medal sale will return!
You the man Kofuzi
Something about you wanting more pockets makes me think of a cargo pants style tights. 😂Nice work! Tracksmith has some dope pieces.
lol I can totally relate to the second guessing tights during warm up 😂
I have been wearing Tracksmith Bislett pants for 4 years. I would not run in winter in any other garment. I admit the one pocket does not hold a lot but I wear a waist belt anyways, so no bother. I highly recommend them, they are good in rain, snow, cold. you can even wear them as lounge pants if you like they are amazing and tough. Build quality is great !
Those are the ones I’m trying to talk my self into buying....but if I rub a hole in the knee in the first year 😡
The Fells Turtleneck is awesome, love wearing that on a run and while WFH
Love me some Tracksmith!
I wish they would send me stuff to review lol. I have so much of their stuff, and I love it all. Current faves are turnover tights, downeaster, NDO mittens, brighton base layer, and the harrier long and short sleeves. All are great for winter running.
i wondered about the merino lined shorts they have, a rarity among running shorts only sold by Smartwool and Icebreak (and Stoic I think). I just got my first pair of smartwool shorts last week, and I'm amazed by them. These merino liner shorts are perfect for 40degrees or higher. I wear regular running shorts if its higher than 55 degrees, so having "winter shorts" are appreciated. I do wear tights if it gets colder.
I've seen a few people with the shorts in some very cold temps. they are tougher than me.
As much as I like the Tracksmith aesthetic (New England Collegiate), it's just out of my price range. It's probably quite good, but I get by with New Balance basic products.
NB gear is pretty solid
I dont mean to be so off topic but does any of you know a way to get back into an instagram account?
I somehow forgot my account password. I love any assistance you can offer me
@Ryker Elisha instablaster ;)
I have a jacket from icebreaker with a similar composition to this -- windbreaker with a merino inner layer. I happened upon it for $20 at Sierra and it might be the best thing that happened to me this year. It's perfect for winters in the midwest!
I'm obsessed with merino for running. I have a bra comprised of merino wool from Oiselle and it's FREAKY how much i can put that thing through while it just keeps smelling pleasant! I've thought about experimenting with it to see how many wears it takes before it takes on a smell but I've lacked the commitment.
I think you should try the experiment. It would be a very different kind of run streak.
I understand you get what you pay for but dang it’s pricey!
definitely not cheap
Tracksmith is pricey as everyone points out, and they do sell out on stock, making purchases on sale hard to find. My suggestion is to take advantage of their new customer discount on first orders; order everything you’re interested in since returns are easy. That’s what I did and I loved everything I ordered as it turned out, but was happy for a discount. I only returned one item. Quality is excellent, fabrics are extra special as is detail in design. Plus, I wear the items daily so they are not just for running. In fact, they are some of my favorite things to wear casually due to comfort, pockets and classy understated looks.
Did they hire you for endorsements bc you may have made a customer out of me!! You may need your own disclosures soon Martha
Sean, 😆 But not a great endorsement to say “buy once with a discount”! However, not just during the pandemic but as a runner I do find I hardly ever put on “real clothes” anymore. My jeans and especially dressier clothes are gathering dust.
Merino in the winter is an automatic must
Your hair is like wine, Ko. It has only gotten better w age
just bought yesterday ndo jacket and tights as well as turnover tights) great brand with great products, I've bought many items from them never been disappointed
I hope you enjoy!
If only I had a few $$$... Really nice stuff
Good stuff, I think I’ll stick with the good ole Tracksmith shorts, shirts, and running gloves. All their other stuff, like others have said, is likely out of my price range.
What colour harrier long sleeve is that? Looks good. I’m a big fan of tracksmith and think there is a lot of value in their pieces. I think this is one of the only high quality reviews on CZcams right now 👍
Enjoy your video reviews. I do have a question on the Turnover Tights. I have always worn shorts in winter months but lately it's been getting too cold so I have been thinking of getting some winter gear.
I heard about the Turnover Tights and I noticed that it doesn't have a drawstring. In your opinion, did you ever feel that they were falling? I sometimes run in the rain and I don't want to feel like they might fall.
How does the elastic hold up over the years?
Thank you in advance,
Joe
Own several merino shirts from Tracksmith. Literally never wash them! Favorite shirts ever.
I'm going to see how many wears I can get before I feel the need to wash
I have a few pieces of Tracksmith stuff and I like it very much. My biggest problem with Tracksmith is that the majority of the time I go to their website and look at an item I want to buy it’s never in stock in my size (medium). I always end up buying something else from another company because of Tracksmith’s lack of availability.
the good stuff goes quickly, it seems. I've experienced the same thing
is the liner like a boxer brief or just brief? I wish more tights would have a boxer brief liner.
Cuffing pants & shirt sleeves 👍
the height of fashion
Love Tracksmith, but nothing is ever in stock 😅 so I stick to Uniqlo gear.
a year late to the party 😥
wonder how is the Harrier LS compared to the Brighton Base Layer? ( I owned a few of those brightons and love them better than the singlets which Tracksmith is famous for )
I've never ran in snow before. Looks like fun but I just hate cold weather LOL
It can be really nice to run in. Quiet and peaceful. Best to get out in it early before it gets too deep.
@@jonjulien9997 Quiet and peaceful sounds awesome 👌😌
cold is about acclimation. you get used to it
Don’t your feet freeze? Or are you wearing a gortex shoe?
Are these products made in the United States? Trying to understand the cost.
Any chance you can review xbionics please ?
i bought something from tracksmith back in september but oversea shipping cost to EU, VAT and also other "duties" ...i end up paying crazy CRAZY money for what i get. for example the NDO tights from 169€ to 260€ .....WHAT?! . Awesome quality btw, i love it (i have gloves and harrier LS)....but not worth the overcharged price to Europe
that's quite a difference in price to get it shipped to EU
Are they always sold out or is this just temporary?
Tracksmith is making a huge marketing move. They have been pretty seclusive for years and a true elites choice. Hope with all this new marketing it doesn’t take the products down getting greedy 😢
Between track smith and lululemon who do they think I am?! Rockefeller?!
I've never tried Lululemon
@@kofuzi buy LL at sale prices only then they are in line with other garment makers. LL makes great shorts and my favorite shirts. I ran a 60K in the shorts and they were perfect for 91 degrees for 7 hours. No issues and still wearing great !!
Whoa, that jacket is nearly the price of a Garmin 245 😅. I can see it’s good quality from the review, but I’d wait for a major sale before considering purchasing haha. Love the inside phone pocket though.
This seems like a nice jacket for when its cold, maybe a little snow but the fact that it is not water proof at $300 makes it look very overpriced to me.
Do you have go-to gear for when there is a heavy downpour? Nice waterproof jackets from Gore and Salomon are also around $300, any experience with those?
I think you may be underestimating just how well this jacket performs, but you are certainly correct that it costs a lot. I don’t think the jacket is for everyone, but I will also caution against trying to analyze it from a rain jacket perspective. It’s akin to people making a dollars/per mile analysis of a racing shoe.
But if you’re primary value driver is winter waterproofness, get the gorewear r5 infinium
@@kofuzi I guess my perspective is that if a running jacket is $300 I expect it to check certain boxes which this jacket does not.
It seems more like a nice lifestyle jacket you can run in rather than a really good running jacket.
I do like it that certain brands are trying to position themselves as premium running brands like Rapha and MAAP are for cycling gear since I think there is a demand for it. But while the gear from Path Projects exhibits the thoughtfulness and "niceness" that warrants the premium you pay, Tracksmith doesn't (yet), to me.
Stay in school, don't do drugs, and if you can, keep it tight.
How’s the sizing on the turnover tights? (Because on the site I’m right at the top of one size/bottom of another)
the tights are very form fitting. If you've on the bubble, I might go with the bigger size.
for reference, I am about 5'11" and 145lbs or so
@@kofuzi and you went with medium?
Cuffed both pants and shirts
that's what I'm talking about
All very nice but it's no Ronhill. That much for a jacket is kinda mad, especially when it doesn't even have a hood, isn't waterproof and doesn't even have taped seams. That's £225 for a jacket that wouldn't be accepted as mandatory kit in most races.
Pockets on the inside of the jacket sound lovely, until you realise that the point of the jacket is to keep you warm in winter and that to access those pockets you need to undo the zip and let a load of heat out. I have nothing against spending a lot on running jackets, I've done it, but this one feels like the styling took up a lot more thought time than the functionality of it.
No Days Off...Tom Brady has been using that creedo for years. Nice review....It seems a bit pricey. In my opinion there is nothing better than a goretex jacket!
80s teenager, yeah I did that.
Yes!!
Maybe they should consult with you and get a Kofuzi Line of clothing in their catalog.
it could be a follow-up of their Amateur collection
Tens of thousands of runners--hundreds of thousands maybe--drop four figures when it's all added up on fly-away marathon weekends, some of them several times a year. A lot of them are looking for other ways to spend more on their running interest, whether they know it or not. It makes sense that brands would step up with super-premium goods for them to buy.
It's a truism in other market sectors, and probably applies as well to running gear, that the people who are ready to click "Buy" on top-shelf items such as this aren't the people who leave comments on CZcams videos. IOW, this stuff isn't meant for dirtbag runners like myself. But when a rich sibling asks what we'd like for Christmas or a birthday, ...
I think you started out intending to make this comment about other people, but I think it ended up revealing a lot about you. I appreciate your candor
@@kofuzi Lol! Nope, it came out just how I meant it to. :-)
Look like great products, but they are pricy... Oy!
👋🏽🦊 . . . 🤩❕
The only problem for me with tracksmith is the fact that I’m a poor college student
NDO is nothing new. I thought it was their cold weather apparel so that you can run even in the foulest weather !
I think it’s an annual thing they push at the start of the year as most people reset, but it’s the first I’ve heard of it
@@kofuzi It's been part of their catalogue for a while. Happy running
Come on KFo, $300 for a running jacket?...
pretty good in subzero F conditions. just wish it had better pockets.
Meh. Fix the pocket issues on jacket
Idk what it is about me but I simply cannot bring myself to wear wool. Not for running, work, relaxing, anything. It is just straight up not comfortable, my skin crawls just thinking about it. Guess I’m a weirdo
it's not for everyone. different people can have different experiences with different fabrics
(I assume you've tried the technical merino wool blends and aren't extrapolating from a prior experience with a giant scratchy wool sweater)
Echoing what Mike, writes here; this merino wool, if it’s like Icebreaker tops, is soft and nothing like average wool sweaters.
@@kofuzi got it yes thanks for your replies. I have definitely tried merino wool but not the blends. I am just so averse to it I won’t even try it vs ua/ adidas cold gear or fleece materials so much more comfortable to me personally
I had no idea people wore this crap.
Its too pricey and who cares how good you look when you're running.
Altho I do wish more running gear was slightly less neon and more toned down.
Not crap, quality gear that performs better than a lot of other pieces.
@@benw2578
If you say so. I guess it'll stay outta my price range for a while
Once again a brand that does not show much love to us in the UK.. the price of the products then the shipping is a killer.. wheres the Love!! Black eye pees ..lol 😆 🤣
