@@tootrillion if you play vs com you get punched and kicked more than wrestled. If you spectate tag matches the second wrestler enters the ring un tagged.
@@tootrillion The spectate camera angles are definitely better than 2k because you look over the ropes not at them. Movement in fight forever is very clunky though

THQ and Yukes makes Wrestling game for more then 20 years and unfortunately every single WWE game that they made in the past 20 years has more content, better gameplay and had better creation suit than this one
@@ratiuvictor9533 no I'm saying the engine they made for this game wasn't based on the framework of the WWE SvR or 2k games. They built a brand new engine that tried to emulate the AKI games when they had no prior experience with the AKI engine which ran completely different than what Yukes had created. 2k kept all the rights to their previous engine and this was built from the ground up and couldn't use any code or assets previously made for anything else they had done before. As a dev myself I can confirm it's hard to start over.
@@WrestlingDev Then maiby instead of making a new engine they should have just baught the rights for the AKI engine from 2k. 2k doesn't use it anymore since 2k15 or they should have just delayed Fight Forever until they can show a product that's comparable with their last games. I know game developing is not easy but where not talking here about a indie company that runs from a basement with 2 employees where talking about Yukes a monolith in wrestling game development. From 90s to 2015 they made over 30 Wrestling Games. They also did not charge a Indie or a budget price even if the game was unfinished. Fight Forever is the most expensive wrestling game ever. Over 140$ with the dlcs for a roster of 75 wrestlers and a couple of matches. Maiby if the game had been priced at 20$ wouldn't have gathered so many criticism. I know that I sound solty but WWE2K14 was my favourite wrestling game ever. I played that game for more then 500 hours. I don't realy like the simulation style of WWE those days. And when I saw that Yukes is making another wrestling game I got excited and when it was released in this state I was WTF is this. No full entrances, dozens of matches that could have easely been implemented and where left out like a first blood, I quit, tableatch or submission match. No Cage. No 6 players matches. No downloadable Cows. No imports of emblems in the creation suit. Things that Wrestling games had for ever. Smackdown vs Raw 2006 had those things. I feel that I was scammed. To buy another AEW game from them it needs to have a lot more in the future. Its the second worst wrestling game ever and it's not the worst just becouse 2k20 was such a bugfest. But at least with 2k20 whe knew from day 1 how bad was it.
@@ratiuvictor9533 2K doesn't own the AKI Engine, It's owned by Syn Sophia. AEW wanted an AKI style game so Yukes had to make it from scratch and it's nothing like they've ever made before. I'm saying it's not Yukes fault for the state of the game and I blame AEW's management for taking the developers out of their comfort zone. The publisher sets the price for the game not the developer. AEWGames & THQNordic are to blame for the pricing and the DLC scam. I'm just saying blame AEW and not Yukes. I'm sure that's why the too had a falling out during development. If Yukes breaks away from AEW and makes their own original wrestling game the way they want to I'm sure it will be good.

@@Saint0589 This. I'm making a 2D wrestling game and I now understand why wrestling games are so hard to make. I've never made something that requires so many state machines and my stuff is simple compared to what they do.
Sucks to see the demise of Fight Forever. At its core, it's a solid wrestling game, and in a few ways better than the recent 2k series. It just drops the ball on common things that don't need to be said repeatedly. Anyway as always good content bro!

If there is a season 5 and they keep the pattern they've been using,the next DLC will be announced next Wednesday the 17th (Intenational Assassin Pack with Will Ospreay and the International Title) for August 7th. And the full season 5 with the realese of that pack. Like Samoa Joe was announced a week after the Hayters Gonna Play pack. 9/11 Rainmaking Pack with Collision Arena and 10/9 Monday Cages Everything Pack

It has only been 1 calendar year of season passes. Honestly feels too soon to abandon it with them stating it would be supported a long time. Watch them announce season 5 with Mercedes money and will osprey haha

No one wants to pay more money even if the game is free, might as well save that money for GTA6 đđđ Just like anything else that comes out of Tony or anyone else representing the company mouth we should ignore and let the actions show whatâs really going on just like with WWE.

The Barbwire match on AEW was the first time they brought the match out that's pretty cool

I finally got my first WWE 2K game (2K24) and I now get the complaints about lack of features. AEW Fight Forever gameplay is a million times better and easier. The countering in WWE2K is insanely bad! If AEW had all the same features and much more of the roster I think it could have been better. I still play it with my nephews a lot so I was not disappointed despite its short comings

I'm happy it's finished and done now... Still playing it and enjoying it ..but I have held off movesets and any edits until all patches have been done

They need to add sliders to the game. If it's a new one then add it to that game, so we can customize the game to our liking. Have like damage slider, resilient slider ( the higher this slider the more kickouts) Of course a pin mini game option also. Just give us sliders.
I want the game to keep its no mercy type gameplay but add more modes and increase the length and improve the career mode
I still have fun when I get a decent player online who isnât a cheesed up caw, big mistake there not giving us the option to keep caws out of matches, Iâve had some seriously competitive matches online that were super fun.
Solid. Felt short. Left a lot to be desired with how fun but brief & limited the gameplay was.
The truly disappointing part of AEW FF is it was a solid base game as far as gameplay goes. As compared to the 2k WWE games, you can have much quicker matches where on 2k24, it seems like youâre having iron man matches each time you play. The biggest issues FF has are the lack of creation suite content, no community creations type of creation sharing, a horrible season mode, and stupid mini games that add nothing to the game itself. I donât know if THQ Nordic and Yukes half assed it or whether AEW was part of the problem but the game just isnât what we all hoped it would be. Wrestling game fans are pretty unforgiving especially if youâre a company like Yukes who have years of experience making pro wrestling games. Thereâs nothing more sad than a wrestling game with endless potential but poor execution.
Honestly hope they keep the same graphics and engine for the next game they just need to add modes and give us a story and universe/gm more

They were way over budget on this first game. Didnt turn enough profit. Company itself not turning a profit. To budget for a second game would dissolve them.

I think the yearly release cycle of most sports games has us believing they SHOULD be working on a second game but I think it'll be 2026 before we see let alone hear about a new game. I personally have never liked AKI mechanic wrestling games so this game wouldn't be my cup of tea but a weird story mode and lack of match types don't help them for an okay first attempt
I wonder if they allow it to be modded by the community like Bethesda games would there be a way for the fans to make it better through mods

Jay White is the last official DLC. There are no more seasons. For PC gamers, we can still mod the game. Kenny, this game was never going to compete with 2K. It's biggest problem is that they priced it like 2K. It was actually a fun casual arcade wrestling game. FULL STOP. I hope the next game is far better, and I will still support them.
There is no official statement that has confirmed the Jay White update as the last official update. To claim it is or isn't the last update is basically speculation at best for now.
When Season 3's DLC finished, they didn't really announce ANYTHING of Season 4 until a day or two prior to release.

It was average to above average in critic ratings. Gameplay mechanics were actually fantastic. The models in my opinion were unique and I liked the style. Stadium stamped is actually pretty dang fun. Thereâs a pretty solid base to build upon, I hope they make a new game because I would give them another chance
How is it hard to have 6 wrestlers in the ring ? Just bring it had 6 players in 2001. I donât get how theyâre having a hard time in 2024. Sounds like bs to me, along with all the other damage control they attempted.

TNA Impact 2 only got cancelled because Midway went bankrupt. They never got around to making a sequel after that because a few years later the TNA exodus began.
No communication, crazy expensive DLC, no new modes, no roadmaps... AEW Games will never get my money again. Weak as hell.

We need a game like what Fight Forever should have been. When 2K gets allowed to coast, you get crap like MyFaction being the priority and patches that completely break the game.
There won't be a sequel if Tony doesn't pony up enough money to help fund it. I gave this game a 6/10 which isn't bad, but their biggest mistake was trying to combine two game engines into one. This game is worth getting at a discount as long as you have 2k as well.

Ultra Pro Wrestling is my last hope for a good wrestling game. If that turns out to be crap, I'm pretty much done

Itâs over for them as far as video games because when they make a few missteps the perception is different than when WWE does it. Thereâs no second chances for AEW.
Ill say this, The mediocre creation suite is the reason it failed to me. Ultimately the thing that makes WWE2K so successful is the creation suite, you can make any, era any wrestler, any company so Roster exclusive wrestlers and tittles are not a big deal. In my humble opinion, if ANY wrestling game is going to compete, you are gonna need deep customization like 2K has, till then things like this will happen.
@Kenny Bomb, there won't be another game. Brian Williams left and Yukes has been officially disbanded.... THQ Nordic has been the one doing the updates that's the big reason the updates have been one wrestler at a time as AEW: Fight Forever is not a priority for THQ Nordic especially with Tony Khan still owing THQ Nordic money for making the game. The game was a mess during it's developmental stages and even worse when it came out. It's highly shameful that it was being worked on for all that time and the best Yukes could muster up for it was PS2 style graphics......
The game is not bad but it needs a cage match, blood and guts
2k games have poor camera angles on spectate mode and fight forever is much better for presentation.
I say the weapons unique variety all different weapons work need those longer entrances I know what they were trying to do but people like to be entertained in that type of way better story maybe using some of the top heels play mjf now that a guy some people love hate and more better customization with different hair types beards clothing and naming your wrestler different names instead of all the names of all the aew guys which isn't bad but you want to be different like I said it was a good start we can return to this maybe in the future with fight forever the name and stuff but right now I need to move on to bigger and better things
AEW FF 2 should come out soon. The DLC price just hurting the game even more. They just gotta add more contents and make it more modern

Continuing to throw out overpriced empty DLC is a scam. They need to add basic things to the game for free before they ever consider to start charging for DLC, and I ain't talking music or really awful generic CAWS. The game is missing so many things that make it a fundamental wrestling game. AEW FF is a party arcade game made for children created by a product that is advertised at adults.
@truthseeker1867 I didn't say they shouldn't update the game for free, too. I think there absolutely needs to be a bunch of wrestlers, steelcage, and much more added. If TK and his dad can put the amounts they do on wrestlers contracts, I'm sure they would be able to both continue to support this game and start on a new game at the same time. It would do a lot if they added some type of universe mode, even a basic one, new arenas and stadiums to wrestle in, and maybe full entrances for all their current roster. I don't belive the claims that it was to hard to put a steelcage in the game. I think this is more of an AEW problem than anything else.

We still have that tournament mode coming as well, so it's not the end yet.

AEW Fight Forever need to come out with a sequel this game is pretty good in my opinion just need more match types and a better story mode. I can't stand WWE 2K23 and 24 My Rise. They make you win the match to move on instead of having real consequences. Anyways AEW can utilize this game until they can make a 2nd installment.

This game, while it doesn't necessarily suck, isn't as good as it could've been IMO, the CAW mode is far too limited, the in game roster's too small, RTE mode's annoying, and online gaming just doesn't work, which includes Stadium Stampede.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. The biggest missed opportunity was the item shop. When you first launched the game, you could unlock wrestlers and caw items with cash earnt, which gave you an incentive to play the game. The game is great, but there is no replay value, and the caw was a disgrace. Simply utilising the item shop would have solved the two biggest issues imo.
They could have added micro transactions for those who didn't want to earn the cash naturally and have wrestlers like Uno unlockable through the item shop.

We wait 3 years, the game releases, only like a few dlc packs being severely outdated, and now were talking about a new game. That name is too ironic now "Fight Forever." Look i enjoyed the game at launch, but now i feel like it was made into an afterthought and now i feel disappointed, it's a good game on base value, but it's disappointing it's only got a years worth of support after 3 years, especially with a name like " Fight Forever"

I'm sorry I'm very talkative very talkative but anyhow we need to put fight forever in the back burner take the things that we learn and improve on them with the next installment no need for a yearly drop take their time on making it so it can be the best it can ever be right now we just going right now we just going to how to work on the current product which is not video games but the company itself aew Dynamite rampage and collision and dark and Ring of Honor we'll get to the games eventually they can keep working on their app games keep fans entertained for now secretly work on the game don't set any release secretly work on the game don't set any release windows so you can prepare for the future and make sure you're absolutely certain that this will be the game talking about forever

It took 3 years to make this one. They dumped a ton of money into it. WWE had a huge problem because of their failed game.
There will never be another AEW game with THQ Nordic or Yukes.
Nordic lost money and charged heaps for DLC to break even.
Also, AEW and Yukes ended up having a toxic relationship.
Kenny Omega and others interfered in development of the game, pissing off Yukes (and causing Brian Williams to leave to do WWE 2K24, where they don't get told what to do).
If another game gets made, it will be years later with a different company and developer,. That's if AEW are even still in business by then.
