I know this is a long shot and this video was posted 8 years ago but what carburetor is that? I recently bought a 1979 c10 with the 250 i6 and I can’t find ANYTHING online about the carb. But this is the exact carb I have and would love to know a little about it.
I dont mean to be off topic but does any of you know a way to get back into an Instagram account?? I was stupid lost my password. I love any help you can give me
@Deandre Trey Thanks so much for your reply. I found the site on google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Takes a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I have the same engine but on a 80 c10. I want to change the vavle cover gaskets but it looks like a fuckin puzzle to do so(ive never seen metal piping like this on a Valve cover.. Anyone have any tips on this?
@@joefrevert4426 i have a 1979 chevy C10 250 cid 4.3 but it has the wrong carburator and i believe the otiginal is rochester 2bbl varajet but i wanted to see how the accelerator cable is conected to the carburator because the bracket is missing i might be able to make one if i could see how it looks like but thanks i wiil look at the video to get some ideas

The engine, as in the 250? Or the integrated head? If you’re talking about the 250 then you are mistaken. That engine will outlive a 350 easy and most pull better than one too. The only downfall of the Chevy 250 is the integrated head. Easy swap.
I found this exact engine in an old shed in my back yard
I love this i 6 its the best in my opinion

Rochester verajet
They make the carb for most chevy inline 6 intergrated heads because mine has the same one on 1984 chevy g20
just ran into the same problem what did you find out???
sounds like you need to adjust the carburetor, mind did that on start up as well.
Any idea where to get the spear trim at? I'm thinking they only came on the inline 6 models as my dads 1980 k10 inline 6 had it also.

are you trying to sell it
Why am I so confused how it has a dual outlet exhaust. It’s still just the one manifold but with two holes? Never heard of it yet
That's how the 4.1s were. The exhaust manifold is integral to the head also
@@rx11000 most are traditionally out a single pipe running under the driver seat and pointed out the passenger side right after the rear tire. Or so I’ve ever seen
1979-1984 the 250s had dual outlets. 123 on one, 456 in the other.
@@Texassince1836 so the integrated head/intake manifold versions technically come with true dual exhaust?
Wait no, that’s still all going to one single pipe. Interesting
I need someone to give me scrap value for the engine. Runs nice but I need it moved.

Integrated head...no good
Mark Duvall these engines were not a very good design. A lot of them got replaced with a 350

CobraAviTek well yeah, most any straight 6 will outlive a 350. But if u want more bang for ur buck, the sb v8 Chevy is ur best option
rx11000 the 250 is better no matter what, it’s cooler aswell
FoxReviewsTech it's all a matter of opinion. I'll never waste money on another straight 6
