@@bryanloveseighties Yeah, I remember an episode of TPIR where Gene Wood was the guest announcer in 85 or 86. This actually started playing (sans the banjos) as the car cue while Gene was describing the car!

Do you know what type of country music? It sounds most definitely like a "big band" with trumpets trombones and saxes! They should bring this type of stuff back, it's a whole wall of sound
@@stevekay1925 it's the combs version.... Honestly, reusing the 94-95 theme, or hell do another rerecording or even combine the tune from 1976-1994/2008-now with the tune from 1999-2008 would've been better
Where is the opening with the hot fiddle leading into the trumpets blaring and taking over the tune? Take the time to view a full episode of the Family Feud from the Richard Dawson era at the very beginning of the show when the announcer is introducing the competing families through the time that the announcer says "Let's start the Family Feud" and listen to the theme music for the transition from the hot fiddle to the blare of the trumpets.
The banjo goes HARD
This theme was also used in The Price Is Right fo a short time to showcase a grand prize.
That and it was also used on Price as background music sometimes when a car was being presented as the prize for a game and was being described.

The most beautiful sounding theme song, for a TV game show.
Some people never got the Country/Bluegrass parts. It’s a play on the Hatfield & McCoy family feud
I would call this more big band style country/bluegrass. I like the longer 9 minute version too with the extended fiddle and banjo solos!

It would be cool if they can use this as the closing credits for today’s Family Feud

With the star of family feud MR GENE RAYBURN!
