- I'm thrilled to be participating in Monster Bash 5 for 2023! Monster Bash is an online challenge where participants draw six cards from a pool of over 200 cards with image prompts. They then use those six cards to create a monster for the Monster Bash challenge.
The Death Walker stumbled through the swamps late one night, oblivious to the deadly swamp kraken lurking below the murky waters. He pulled out a potion of poison that a forest witch had given him and poured it into the swamp. The kraken squirmed and writhed in agony before sinking to its grave.
This build involved clay sculpting with Super Sculpey, toy bashing, diorama construction, and even a little experimentation with resin.

I like how you decided to take the cards as a prompt for an entire scene instead of just the one creature. It is fun to see some of the weird creations that come out of conflicting pieces when people go that direction. But this turned into a really interesting bit of visual storytelling because of how you interpreted it. Nice work!

That’s kinda funny, I didn’t really even think about that until you mentioned it. As soon as I pulled the cards I had a pretty clear idea of what I wanted and it kinda just fell together.😅

Excellent work! Reminds me of the skeleton from Midievil, but if it were a modern day remake. Who knows, you might be asked if your design could be used for just that! Wonderful work on the skull as well!

The diorama turned out super cool, Dave! Everything came together really well, especially the skull and the overall swamp you made. I just hoped that you made a few adjustments to the base Warhammer Necron model - since I could still see a bit of the "robotic sci-fi" parts in the final product. Especially in the joints and feet. This isn't by any means a criticism since I'm sure you're a busy guy. Overall though, top-notch toy bashing as usual. Keep up the great work! 👍🎃💀

Not 100% sure but I think so. On YT look up Ink Jet transfer on wood, I’m pretty sure I saw some tutorials for that as well.😃
