What photo book do you want me to go over next?!
Anything by ansel adams, black and white photos are my faves.
One of my favourites: Gregory Crewdson - Twilight.
Hey Pete, Great Video, any idea how I can get the company of the hat you're wearing, I really like its style and texture, am in a process to open my own hat business here in Kenya and your info will really be appreciated
Any of David Yarrow’s books.
Stephen Shore: Uncommon Places. In 1973 Stephen headed out on the road alone in his car with his plate camera in the trunk and just started shooting random places on the road for weeks. He then did it each year from 1973-1981, the results are uncommon places. The book is rad af.
Before images were splattered over the Internet, I would crave rock magazines, photo mags, and National Geographic. I'd read the stories, but, the great joy was the images. Looking over the photographs multiple times as if I had not noticed something within. That's all lost now. Swiping and turning pages are entirely different. Great episode. Please keep 'em coming!
Ah yes coffee and film- welcome to Peter McKinnon
Slow-mo coffee intro - welcome to 2015
So true@@SteveJobIess
Like the new series concept.
This is what photography is about! Story telling, sharing, and just being fun and making something cool.
Well done! The effort and passion are evident.
This series is a guaranteed way to revive people making photo books. Can't wait!
Love this idea for a new series of videos! There are so many photographers from back in the day that you might not find on social media. And it’s a great way to view photography and read about photographers and their stories and attitudes about their art.
Finally a book club for photographers!
Peter! The feeling seemed to find a new color, amazing words!
such an amazing story Pete, thanks so much for sharing. Jeff truly brings the art of photography to life with the interesting compositions and unique angles. Funny enough Ive always loved wide angle composites for the same reason, as you get a unique feel and perspective of the photographer's vision. I started doing them in 2006/07 on film and would scan/merge the shots in PS. i even did a vertical pano of a rainy vancouver street with oak trees, on film!
Love this, hearing the stories behind the image is what I like most about our camera club, and seeing photos from those that travel more than me. Jeff's book is georgous.
'he was taking selfies in 1998...' that was great!
This video is so great! Thank you Peter😉
I like this new series! gives me some 2018 PM vibe that I miss!
Dude, the work you put into every shot? Mad nice
Love this new series. Thanks, man.
I LOVE how much you l.o.v.e photo books - That's one of my obsessions ... :-) .... Am I getting the book?... Oh yesssss !!!
This was awesome! Love the new series
Pete this is awesome! I love making photo books. It’s something about seeing your work in a physical form it’s magical.
YES! I love this series!
I like the warm lighting here. Cool look!
This edition was pure nirvana! I am a fan of Jeff's work also, but never got my hands on the book itself. So thank you Peter! I really-really enjoyed this video, and keep them coming! 😊
PHOTOGRAPHY and COFFEE, I love both!
Love this new series!!!!
i love this so much
What a great idea Peter! Over my years, I've seen just a few memorable photography books. I love that you're gonna introduce me to a few more!
Yes, love to see you doing this!
Love this new series!
LOVE! Thank you!
Loved this video. I’ve been on a social media and CZcams break. There wasn’t anything out there that got my attention, I was growing tired of all the people I normally watched. This is the first video I’ve watched on CZcams in a while and it gave me that feeling again. Inspired! Peter, you nailed it with this one. Loved it.
As always this video has been done tastefully. Thank for bringing so much joy and excitement for these little things in our lives that we wouldn't have recognized if it were not for you
Great new series, loving it.
Love this new series and you walking us through it... like CliffsNotes!
Great! Great! You have such a sincerity about you when talking about this book amd the storytelling aspect of photos. Love it!
Great video. Absolutely itching for your book.
Aw man this definitely reminds me of the old days 🥹 what a fun episode Pete and Captain Kirk! 🎉
😮 glad to see you here Tim! Huuuuuuge fan of you. Board gamer here as well 🤩
G'day Peter, crackin vid mate. Photography is a journey of storytelling. Thank you for allowing us all to follow yours.
perfect video for lunch...
As always it’s about access to get those special photos to help make an interesting book!
great video really enjoyed and learned a lot
Excellent as always! Inspiration comes from so many places and is essential for someone behind the camera! You sir, never fail to provide! Either directly from your work or by sharing what inspires you! Thank you! Truly! -Matt Stagmer
Please keep ‘em coming ❤️
Aw man this is awesome. Iv wanted this book for a while. Just haven’t got around to buying it. Love the new video idea 🤙
Incredible. Absolutely love this idea for a series. And I am blown away by Jeff's photos.
Love this!!
Anyone remember when Peter took Matti over 1m? Now Peter been stuck at 5,9m for ages. Let’s share and take this channel past 6million! ✌️
Bro… do more of these PLEASE!
I started in landscape photography, much like you. I’m now at a point in my photography career where I’m trying other genres in search of actual stories.
No I haven’t watched the whole thing yet, as I’m on my phone and feel this deserves the big TV 📺 ❤
Same feel
It was worth the wait!
great series concept!!! I recommend you do an episode on Gjon Mili's photography.
Mate please please please keep on going with the book club! For my personal preference always start with prepping a coffee (your way of choice) and tell us something about the coffee and why you chose it for this episode. THIS would be my cherry on the cake. I already love it! Thanks Pete 🙏
Chasing Awe - Gavin Hardcastle - Huge fan since the one wheel Peter thx for all you have given & shared with the world...
Okay, this is going to be a very dope and different series! I like
Photobooks are magical
Thanks for sharing, Pete! Exciting for your own photo book!
Love the new theme and fresh energy and inspiration that comes through
Follow you for a couple of years now on youtube, I never get tired of watching your little films, and listen to your stories. Thanks for that. Really helpful content and very very inspirational :)
Every frame is delicious
This is going to be a great series, Peter! Thank you for doing this!
I used a Widelux for many years as a photojournalist and documentary photographer. I even got hired to shoot an annual report all with the Widelux. It's a remarkable tool in the right hands. I hope you will continue with the "Book Club!"
It’s so fun listening to you. Very cool looking book and enjoyed how you presented it. Waiting for the next one now 👍
This was one of my favorite videos so far this year. ❤ looking forward to this new series. Thanks Pete! Great work.
Great introduction to a new series. Adventures Await.
Had to buy it… Thanks for bringing this subject to our attention.
Great series. I am looking forward to more.
Great video! Look forward to more from this series!
It looks like your old 1DXii in the back. Would love to you film a future video on your old workhorse, just for nostalgia sake!
The square fold hat, coffee montage, and PPPPwhat'supppp!!!! Awesome!!!
The square fold bill is from the 90's
The VO was just stellar. Before I died I want to see Steven Rinella and PK in the same video. I can dream right. Appreciate you Peter.
Love the combination of your cinematography and your sharing what you learnt! ❤
This is so good. I need more of this in my life.
You talking about film at the beginning got me so excited because my wife and I are diving into instant film photography now. It's so different than digital and so fun.
Amazing book indeed. It also helps that the sets were set up with perfect lighting so one less hurdle to overcome.
I really love this new series Peter!! So full of passion, energy and love for the art! Can’t wait for episode 2 and youe upcoming book as well
the selfie was surreal! I gotta try that as well
I only discovered Jeff was a photographer a few weeks ago. His website is AMAZING.
thanks for the inspiration!
I LOVE THIS
Awsome addition to your playlists. I loved the storytelling.
First picture I ever took was on my dad's Canon film camera. It took about a week to develope. He passed away 2 years ago, and not the camera moved to me. Still one of my best memories with my dad.
Jeff Bridges is one of my favorite Actor and now one of my favorite Photographers 😎👍📷
Awesome! Like this new series!!😊
Wow, its like we all have been waiting to see such videos which are so different and inspiring. Thanks Pete!
Early gang! And I always the storytelling videos you produce. Amazing work as always
this is great, I never knew Jeff Bridges was a photographer as well!
Weird thing to say to a big CZcamsr but thanks for sharing. Really have enjoyed the direction of the channel lately not that I didn't enjoy it before but this episode was really inspiring and would have never known about Jeff Bridgett and his photography otherwise.
Thanks for sharing pete🥰❤
The color grade on Peter’s video 🤌 warm and bright. It’s beautiful
Wow! Love this man! Jeff is amazing!
Fantastic video. I like the concept and enjoyed the content. It’s like a coffee table book about coffee tables that IS a coffee table itself.
absolutely fantasic video. really looking forward to more of these
thanks for sharing, you inspired me to try something new
Same, I will start brewing my own coffee now 😅
Yes! More Please. I am always inspired when I watch your videos . If I feel a down-and-out moment coming on I watch a pinch or two of P. McKinnon and I'm good to go for the rest of the day.
Loving this, looking forward to see more! Happy to see Malta being mentioned 🇲🇹
That was freaking cool! Keep it up!!
Nice vid -I like this format!
Also, I, too, dig the square bill.
I love it. Photography books are amazing.
Watching a photo appear like magic in the dark room - ah man - it's like falling in love over and over again.
More like this. Bravo!!!
I love this!! We do coffee and cameras in my town every Monday! And we talk about projects and books we find!
That sounds cool! Where’s your town..?
@@StephenDavisMonsignor hahahaha middle of nowhere Iowa lol
@@willisincphototography ah - OK lol.. I'm in North Texas and think that would be a cool activity!
@@StephenDavisMonsignor we just had it yesterday! Normally we meet for like an hour but yesterday we made it 2ish hours playing in Lightroom and going over the soft white underbelly book
