Montero I never ended up getting them my truck and it up getting a blown motor and was not able to put another motor in it for at least eight months just got the truck back recently and have not had the money to invest in accessories

I want to mount these in my truck the 6.5 inch ones, how durable are they in the sun and heat on them.
A marine gear meets or exceeds the highest standards in the marine industry. You simply cannot get better than that.
I have 4 of the 8's, 2 of the 6.5' s and a p3 10 punch sub in a ported box. I have a Polk audio component 8 inch running mono in what used to be the sink and it fits perfectly after relocating the crossover with about 1300 watts of fosgate power feeding them from a pioneer head unit with 3 sets of rca jacks each delivering 4 volt per rca cable. Its in a pontoon boat and I know some of it not marine quality but the stuff that matters stays dry as long as the tops up. Its been jamming for 5 years and never missed a beat. Its the loudest and by far the cleanest sounding system me or anyone I know has ever ever heard on the water. I've embarrassed more than a few systems that cost well over 10,000 and I have less than 2,000 in mine. My only complaint is the 6.5's suck compared to the 8's there really is no comparison
The 6.5's are not meant to go as deep as the 8's, but tend to be more accurate. It depends a great deal on frequency response, enclosure, tuning and power as well. @@KICKER-AUDIO would the 6.5's do better with more airspace. When I mounted them I didn't cut into the storage area underneath the seat I mounted them in. I put them in the same location as the factory speakers and they just barely fit because of the depth. In other words I'm wondering if that's why I've been unhappy with them from the start. The way they are now there's really no airspace to let them move and breathe as I'm afraid they should. The 8's sound great just being mounted in the fiberglass basically running free air. I have a 10 inch sub for bass but I would like to get the best sound possible out of all of them. I'm very handy should I build small box's for them if so how much airspace for the 8's and the 6.5's and should I port the box. Without a doubt there's no telling how many kicker speakers yall have sold because of people hearing mine. I just want it to sound as good as it possibly can and any help would be greatly appreciated
@@workingmanics By nature, most coaxials don't need much air to do their job, which is midrange and high frequencies (not bass). Giving them additional space might help, but power and crossover settings play a role as well.

No love for the 4". Shoulda made those with LED's too. I went with another brand just to get the LEDS in the size I needed. Too bad. :/
If there is enough demand for a 4" with LED'S, we will certainly consider making it in the future.
What size amp should you run with these?
Depends on the quantity you would run and the size. Different sizes have different requirements.

Very disappointed sent numerous emails to kicker .I wanted speakers and their new marine head unit kmc5. NO reply back. Plus they do not ship overseas can you imagine it's nearly 2022 and do not ship 👎👎👎
Kicker should stay in car audio, can’t compete with fosgate and JL in marine
Listen to both, head to head. Then look at the price. Then decide.
Rockford Fosgate had it going on in the 90's, but like many companies...they sold out. JL has always been great in the bass department.
KICKER kicker all day i love my new car audio setup!!! Quick question can i wire marine speaker’s in my car i really want those LED 6.5 in my car have a kicker KXA400.4?
JL is awesome...except the price is outrageous, especially right now. Just installed Kicker marine speakers in my boat and they sound great.
