Awesome, thanks for this repair guide. I just successfully repaired my HDZero Race V2 by replacing a damaged 22uH SMD inductor on that 5V dc-dc step-down circuit. Luckily the IC (TPS4302?) was fine.

Awesome Ian! Love these kinds of videos since I do board repair also. I had hit up this user to buy these broken boards, but he had sent them to you that day! Great to see you got one of them working so far. Excited to see the others also!

you can get by with flux and a lot of solder wick

1 minute in and I'm going to place a bet that #2 is going to be the MIPI Encoder

Nice diagnosis and repair Ian! I had to cringe a bit when I saw the boards were sent to you taped to printer paper though...lots of potential for ESD damage. Nevertheless, I'm really enjoying your HDZero troubleshoot and repair videos. Please continue to post them. Thanks!

Why do you have solder-leftovers on your bench while testing pcbs with power connected? That was quite hard to watch! Nevertheless I enjoy learning from you 👍

I have a whoop board with a similar issue to #4
LEDs light up fine, but no video.
I also have another one that is OK for ~20 secs but then the video cuts out, but again, both LEDs still lit.
Are you planning on making a video regarding the whoop boards?

    • @chorchecze

same here... Whoop VTX died mid-midflight. LEDs ligth up, but no video. I just open an RMA at my local vendor.

Can a patch antenna be used for TX?
On DJI, everyone says put the two patch antennas on the bottom ports.
One of those two bottom ports is a TX _and_ RX, for requesting retransmissions. Is it a waste? Will it transmit further than the omni? Can a patch even be used for TX?
